A beautiful hostel in Tijuca, very cozy, fun, comfortable and centric. Really close to Maracaná stadium and metro station, bars around and also supermarket, stores in a quiet neighborhood. Las instalaciones, la piscina, el personal y el desayuno, todo maravilloso.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Air conditioning in room was perfect! The kitchen was dirty, tiny and needed improvement. The bathrooms upstairs where my room was were terrible. Two of them had no soap during my 4 nights stay, the trash bins were full but were never emptied, one of the shower was clogged the entire time and another smelled so bad we couldn't use it, that bathroom was the only one that had any soap so we just went in there to get some soap.

Cool place! Not close to the beach, but close to metro station. Good facilities, swimming pool and very helpful staff. They have awesome parties there and also close town shops and restaurants. Would recommend this hostel.

The Maraca Hostel was sports-themed and it was a pretty cool/fun place to stay. I stayed in an 8-Mixed dorm and it came with lockers/locks. Location was relatively convenient in a good neighborhood. It was about a 10-12min walk to either the main Maracana transit station or the Saens Pena metro. Also has a good-sized mall about 6-8min away. Staff was friendly/helpful. Just felt there are other hostels with similar experience available for a better price.

Maraca Hostel is nice place to stay.Very good location-close to two metro lines and good supermarket for cheap food. Good breakfast. I'd say very good. All staff is friendly ,desk people are good in English. General manager Victor is nice ,intelligent, professional person,he is ready to assist people at any time. Very important -free Internet access, you can be connected with the family at any time. I booked room at this hostel, not bed.-TV,Air Cond. Refrig.,shower nice big bed. I did not stay at 4-8 bed room, but general situation is pretty good and all people I could see around was happy. I,d advise to contact Victor before booking , he is nice guy You will be happy in RIO-my first impression about RIO-nice friendly people, but a bit short in English. I'm just back from RIO-16 Olympics and still impressed how good it was organised, probably better to say-excellent.from any point.,to be honest- I was surprised.and impressed.
