It is a honest place that delivers on promise - cheap, clean an close to major attractions of Jacarepagua and Barra da Tijuca. The neighborhood is very safe because the flat is located inside a condo.
We booked a room because this hotel is next to where Rock in Rio takes place. It was also next to the Olimpic City. So, it's far from Ipanema, Leblon, Copacabana. The closest beach is Recreio or Barra da Tijuca, but you cannot go on foot. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but they lack maintenance. The pool area is nice. They offer a good breakfast service, but there is no room service at night. Be sure to rent a car or paying extra for taxis when staying here.
If you arrive late at night, you wont't have room service and you won't have any place nearby to eat because the localization of this hotel is so far from everywhere!! They don't serve anybody after 11 pm but the room directory says that they have room service of 24h. They also didn't say anything about it during my check-in. So, bring food if you feel hungry at night!
I stayed there for few weeks during the Olympics and had the worse experience. Room is super small, beds are tiny and everything SUPER dirty. I called the reception as sooner I got in my room to let them know my room was super durty and AC didnt work and had to wait 1 hr (ONE HOUR) and multiple calls until someone finally decide to show up. I had to change rooms and my second room was even worse. Hygiene is huge concern at this hotel in my opinion. For location, unless you go for work in that specific area dont ever consider stay there. Breakfast is terrible! Everything is sweet: bread, cookies. There is no good option for a normal breakfast food like eggs. Had dinner at the restaurant every single night as well and the food was not bad but overprice. Front desk are ok... nobody smile, nobody treat you like clients.…
The location is close to a BRT stop, so it's easy to get the subway if you wanna go to other regions. That's also a safe area. Rooms are spacious, silent and clean. The place seems to be brand new. Nice staff.
