This hotel is situated in easy access to the beach and restaurants. As a hotel the staff are friendly but the place could do with a refit . Its tired and worn out. If you have a room at the front then forget sleep the noise from the main road makes you feel you are sleep on the main road. We moved and that was much better at the back. I wouldn't stay here by choice again.
The location is, for sure, the best about the hotel. The room (super luxo ) is big but noisy and so unprepared. Breakfast not good. Pool is ok, but full of kids all time I went to the rooftop. I do not recommend.
We stayed here for four nights in total, three of them in room 1104. The positives of our stay are that the hotel is only a couple of blocks from the beach and there are a number of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants conveniently close by and the staff are friendly. Less good is the overall impression it being an affordable high occupancy hotel, which is in urgent need of refurbishment. The lifts are an example of this, as was the laminate flooring in our room which was chipped and peeling. There was very little cold water coming out of our sink tap and the sink had no plug. Having said that, the room was a decent size and the AC worked very efficiently and quietly. Despite the shortcomings described above, we had a comfortable stay.
Great choice of breakfast to fill you up for a day of touring. Staff friendly. Room big and comfy. All areas clean and tidy. Told one day that our room wouldn't be cleaned as they were too busy too many rooms!! Not a problem emptied bin and made bed and asked maid for clean towels. It was probably due to a large mumber of Uruguay skaters who were very noisy running up and down corridors shouting to each other till the early hrs.. Apart from that a good hotel central within walking distance Copacabana and Ipenea beaches and many restaurants.
This hotel has an excellent location close to Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here as the staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the hotel’s period features and character. A nice change from the usual chain hotels. We loved it here!
