We stayed in August 2020 for two weeks at the Kaya Palazzo. The hotel was brand new and you could feel it as some things weren't 100% ready. The room we checked in was not ready yet to be opened and after our complaint we were upgraded to a suite which was an amazing experience.

In regards to Covid-19 the employees were always wearing masks and distributing masks and sanitizers for free. Hotel staff was constantly sanitizing everything and keeping everything clean. I always felt that the hotel is a Covid free and safe area.

The food at the buffet was always a good and of high quality and we always enjoyed it. Usually we would have dinner at the buffet and late night drinks at the "roof top" bar with honestly amazing views. Needless to say that staff was always attentive and friendly.

I really loved the spending the day at the pier using one of the sun loungers. The service at the pier was superb. During our two week stay the average time for a waiter to arrive after we pressed the button was 30 seconds. The variety and food offer was also very good. We often enjoyed sushi and milkshakes :)

All in all, it was a great stay with only some snagging issues due to the hotel being new. The hotel staff was always very friendly and professional. You could always feel that they care about their guests.

Special thanks goes out to our guest relations manager Deniz who was simply AMAZING. He messaged us every day asking about our well being and whether we need anything. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels across the globe, but have never experienced such a warm and welcoming soul like Denis. Thanks for taking care of us!! Deniz is also the reason why I rate the hotel 5 instead of 4 stars, because such customer service is unique even for a 5 star hotel.

Right now i am writing while staying on the 3rd day at the hotel. First of all, sea is FABULOUS! It is perfectly clear and has many fish. The only thing is that the sea deck is a little further than where you can swim to easily. The service was great, they were so kind! Special thanks to Halit and Abdurrahim. They were very kind and helpful in the restaurant. The open buffet is not as big like other all-inclusive hotels but the quality is far better. Especially meze buffet. Our hotel room was a family room which was in fact two seperated rooms connected that turned out to be spacious! We have stayed here 2 years ago and that room was nice too but this was over our expectations, FABULOUS! The only little negative thing is that drinking water and coffee specials in the beach service are somebit expensive. We wish that drinking water must be serviced also in the beach free.

A lovely hotel with a friendly staff,the food was good. The pool is clean and the beach was lovely !and big thanks to Deniz Ozugin definitely the best service from this gentleman, who made sure that we see the best of bodrum, and made all our restaurant reservations at short notice although they were all fully booked when we tried to reserve by ourselves. Deniz also helped out to find all the medicines we needed to purchase which werent all found in one pharmacy. He never gives up until his guest was 100% satisfied ! So whenever your staying at kaya palazzo make sure to ask for Deniz to make sure that you enjoy the atmost of bodrum

The good:

The hotel is small, which we liked. It had three restaurants and a nice lounge on the rooftop of the main building. The fish restaurant Lancivert was nice, the food was really good and fresh. The buffet in the main restaurant is good but doesn't offer variety from day to day; you basically eat the same things with minor variations. The design of the hotel is very modern and sleek.

The bad:

1. Cleaning in the rooms is absolutely horrific. They basically only make up the bed and take out the trash. No wiping of the surfaces in the bathroom, no removing used cotton pads or q tips, no vacuuming/washing the floors. We brought our concern to the reception and got a proper cleaning of the room only once, the housekeeper left a sarcastic note asking "How do you like my cleaning now?" in Turkish and towel swans on the bed (pic attached). After that the cleaning returned to what it was before: make the bed, take out the trash. All mirrors, windows were constantly covered in smudges and never wiped.
2. The cleaning on the hotel premises is basically the same - mirrors are dirty, surfaces are sticky.
3. The taxi is hardly ever available, the transfer car from the hotel to Yalikavak Marina cost us 100 Euro roundtrip each time; 300 Euro when requested right away, not in advance. You have to pay the reception in cash right away or they won't give you a confirmation for the car.
4. Unless you give a generous tip at the beach, no one will even come to you to take your order or change the towels.
5. There are stray animals everywhere. Dogs and cats on the beach, doin their business.
6. The hotel is located between two very loud hotels, so expect a decent amount of noise coming from them at all times. (makes you feel like you are in a huge hotel, not a boutique hotel)
7. The main light in our room didn't work. (flickered crazily)
8. The beach is pebble, but very harmful (sharp) stones! Be careful not to cut your feet. the hotel is advertised to have a sand beach, which is very incorrect

I just arrived yesterday with my two kids. The room was not ready which is normal because it was 12 o’clock noon. So we went out. When we came back, we realized that they left our suitcases under the hot sun for so many hours that all vitamins and medicine in the suitcase was ruined plus all clothes were humid and in a terrible condition. The room they gave us was very noisy with a continuous sound coming from nearby- like an electrical generator. I asked them to change the room after midnight when I arrived. They gave me another room with just a little less noise but still frustrating. I asked for a room that is far away from this noise and they answered they were fully booked. However the day before, they had said they had 8 rooms available with sea view. It was 2pm and I was so tired and disappointed that I said I want to check out, willing to pay the first terrible day&night I spent there, asking for a refund of the other part that I had paid. The answer was no, leaving me stay in a noisy room in a vacation that was special for me with my teo kids. I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Don’t let the Hermes branded soaps and shampoos fool you. The best thing about my experience was Mr. Kaan who was the kindest and most polite manager for the night shift but he could not do anything. Mrs. Füsun did not answer our calls or I was told like that, with an irresponsable attitude, although she sent news with a receptionist that my payment will not be refunded if I leave the hotel. We are prisoned here basically. Terrible experience.

Just returned from a wonderful 7 night stay with my family and wanted to give my review and my take on things at the Kaya Palazzo Resort & Residences Bodrum

Kaya Palazzo Resort & Residences Bodrum Hotel is spectacular, clean and spotless. I agree with the statements about the reception staff, as they need to be smiley and approachable, however there were a few staff members particularly Gizem who took care of us. She was brilliant. She helped us a lot. We thank her very much, lady who cleaning rooms on our floor, who always said morning, staff remembering your drink whether your in the dining hall with a coffee, around the pool or having a drink in the evening bar area inside and outside.

We genuinely had a great time in the resort and would highly recommend it, especially to those with families! Hope everyone visiting soon enjoys as much as we did x

I have booked a Grand Garden Suite and upon checking in we noticed that the AC was not working and it was hot. We reported the issue to the reception and after 30 mins the AC was on. Then, we left to the beach and once we return the AC was not working again and asked for assistance which took sometimes. This continues 4 time in a row and last was at 2 am which really disturbed our sleep. I called the night shift manager and expressed our frustration and disappointment and he promised to convey the same to the Manager in the morning. However, no one bothered to call or even check up with us and although we had a lunch reservation out of the hotel next day and there was barley time, I asked my wife to go forward and wait for me to fix the issue with the hotel. So, I personally went to the reception and asked for the Manager and I was asked to sit and wait and no one showed up which truly passed my limit. The front desk told me that the Manager is not here because it's a weekend and I told him that our experience is a nightmare and we expect to be compensated and he simply replied by saying that he will check the possibility of changing our suite with something similar (if available) and I told him that the least they can do is to upgrade us and he said that this was not possible at all, which was something I have never experienced with a 5-star hotel. Actually, we have paid around €900 a night and this is the kind of service we get?
Then I had to leave to the lunch and after coming back, i checked with them and told me that they will be changing my room and they moved us to another suite (obviously we had to repack our stuff). The AC was working fine in this suite, this time had another issue. The suite was next to the maintenance station which was completely annoying and we couldn't sleep for 2 nights in a row. Afterwards, i have contacted the guest relation manager and expressed my disappointment and promised to solve all our issues and I asked again for an upgrade, but he said that the hotel's system doesn't accept upgrades (seriously?!). Anyhow, he Manager gave us another suite ( we repacked again) which was better in terms of noise and AC, but the suite was smaller and didn't have the neither the jacuzzi nor the large dinning table (as advertised in the pics). Actually this room was a Garden suite not a Grand Garden Suite. I asked him for a compensation and he promised me to escalate my request, but nothing happened so I had to pass my compliant (for 2nd time) to hotels.com (Expedia) who tried contacting the hotel and requesting a compensation, but nothing happened until this moment.

Unfortunately, I had high expectations for this trip, but this resort truly ruined my vacation and actually created some tensions with my partner. Yet they did not care to neither compensate us for the hassle by any kind. Actually, this was the least they cared about.

As a side note, I visited the swimming pool and it was empty (only couple of staff were by the bar) and it was filled with 3 or 4 towels and no one bothered to clean it up (pic is attached).

A facility where simplicity and luxury is combined. Sanitation and services in general are beyond perfect 👍 foods and drinks are successful, especially buffet breakfast is delicious and varied. You can understand the quality of the foods by its taste. Prices are a bit high but you get your money's worth. The staff is always ready to support you about anything you need, especially Serhat Kaya, who is guest relations supervisor, is really kind and heplful. It seems that he is a highly trained man. One night, we needed some medicine and some of the managers dealt with us. They brought the medicie from the pharmacy. We didn't have to go there. Everything is done in order that you can feel special. I can recommend everybody to stay here. We are planning to stay again. Thanks for everything 🙏

Excellent hotel with a clean environment and private beach. The spacious rooms feature climate control, and the delicious breakfasts offer a wide selection. The staff are friendly, responsive, and helpful. Water, coffee, and tea are replenished daily in the rooms. Requests for changes of bed linen and towels are easily accommodated, and daily cleaning is provided. We were delighted with the complimentary fruit stand.

From the time we arrived we were welcomed with warm and friendly faces and throughout our stay they made sure everything was perfect. Mr. Serhat Kaya at Kaya made sure everything at the hotel was perfect for us and gave us good suggestions on what to do outside in Bodrum as well! I would like to thank him for everything. Yousuf, who would drive us to our hotel room and to breakfast was also extremely friendly! I’d give this hotel 10/10. The property itself was immaculate and the staff was even better!
