Booked via hotel site, the promotional room we booked suddenly went missing and no other choice was given except a hefty sum for an unneeded upgrade. Pool's closed when other hotels are opened. Room looks like recently renovated but not what we were looking forward to so its inconsequential. Breakfast is the worst experience and taste I have ever gotten from any hotel. We were made to "book" a time when we can get our breakfast from the lobby which is one of the stupidest thing that came out of this staff shortage - pay your staff more and sent the breakfast to the room, Sunway. Went down after the hotel rang our room and the food itself tasted like nobody worked there. Stale bread, corn-in-a-cup which I distinctly remember advertised as corn-on-a-cob that tasted like it was drowned in those canned milk and literal fried egg. Sorry; two eggs sunny side up. I paid RM25 for that. Thought it was the worst thing I paid for at that hotel. Turns out no, this particular hotel has one more knife to stab me with. If you park your car with Touch N Go system (the parking place suggested with ads at the parking gate), you are supposed to go out of parking and go back in like a dummy because only parking ticket system can get free parking. I thought meh, too much of a hassle to save RM20 (on most hotels I went) so I didn't. I then asked the reception how much is the parking for almost a day and no one gave a specific answer - one say RM20 with some caveat by which I mean muttering that I cannot hear and another says RM30. Go out to gate and it is RM42. That is some high end crock right there. My card doesn't even have that much money in it so I have to reverse, say sorry to people behind me and find a place to top up. Thanks Sunway Putra Hotel for making this the most horrible stay ever - and this is the first one after a long lockdown too. Which makes it more horrible. TLDR; don't go here. The deluxe King room were spacious and clean. Front desk staff was extremely accommodating and allowed us to early check in. All hotel staff including housekeeping services were extremely nice and full of smiling faces. The hotel is next to Sunway Putra Mall where you can dine and shopping without leaving the building. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting KL.
Hi we were there about for the 7 day. It was one of the best one ever. I would suggest it to everyone. It's not on the city center but it's not that far....... You can enjoy the swimming pool and the breakfast is the best, staffing is the best. Room service was awesome
I had to stay I this hotel longer than the one night that was planned. Due to travell restrictions during Covid. The staff could not have been more accommodating, and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the WiFi excellent. The room service menu may be restricted for us westerners with chilli allergy, but the food , when it arrived, was of very good standard. Quick room service as well. Could not recommend this hotel high enough
I had such a wonderful stay at Sunway Putra Hotel from the 29th to the 31st of May 2021. The employees were very efficient and observant towards my needs. Room service was amazing. I had a blast ordering from the in room dining menu due to the MCO. Will definitely return in the near future!
