Opened just opposite the park's main gate on August 1, 2015, it is the closest hotel to the complex. When you step into the new hotel, you feel as if you have been transported to the U.S.A., the home of Universal Studios. [Operated by Tokyu Hotels]

The Park Front is probably the hotel that’s closest to the park entrance. You could easily find restaurants and Lawson convenience stores downstairs. The room was spacious compared to normal Japanese hotels. However, the staff speak very little English. The furnitures in the room were old and with stains on them. The beds were not comfortable as you could tell that they are very old already. There was not enough space to hang our towels. The biggest disappointment would be the lack of smart TV! So don’t expect to have any Netflix nor YouTube available. However, given the location, I might choose this hotel again next time. But hoping that the management would try to at least change some new furnitures in the rooms and provide a smart TV.

We had super big room at the corner with a view of USJ entrance, very comfortable bed and pillows, the amenities were so good, they even gave onion soup and corn soup aside from coffee and tea. Beautiful beautiful lobby and entrance, made a super good family photos. Walking distance to USJ, if u are traveling with little kids, this is a must, (tips: you can request for a return entry to USJ if ur kids are tired and need to nap, dont forget to get a stamp). Many good restaurants within the premises, sunset at USJ complex is just amazingly amazing. LOVE, Love this hotel, highly recommended.

We stayed here three nights in Feb 2023. We did no research, it was a last minute decision to come to Osaka so we took whatever room we could get. We weren't disappointed! We ended up with a room facing the Park which was a really nice way to start the day. Service wise, it was impeccable. However, we only speak English so we noticed a difference in English language proficiency of many staff we dealt with here (compared to Hotel Universal Port which we stayed in last time we visited USJ) who didn't seem to be able to comfortably converse in English wit us. So after breaking out Google Translate, I was able to ask for luggage transfer services and queries about the theme park with some help from technology. The rooms are big for Japanese standards with all the conveniences you need. The location is second-to-none given its proximity to the Universal Studios Japan entrance. Being part of the Universal Studios Citywalk area you have the choice to visit whatever restaurant you feel like. The on-site restaurant offered a great buffet for breakfast. There are coin-operated washing machines on many floors too in case you need to do laundry.

We chose the Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan for it's convenient location to the USJ Park. It's right in city walk, and directly in front of the Universal Studios Japan park itself. We were able to walk quickly to the park entrance for convenient early morning entry without needing to take any additional transportation on our park visiting days. We were 3 adults staying for 2 nights in a spacious room with 3 very firm beds. We were on the 27th floor (out of 28) with a window view overlooking the USJ Park front entrance, city walk and a lot of the park rides. We loved the view and being in the heart of the excitement. Our room had a separate toilet room near the door, decent sized bathtub/shower combo room and provided excellent toiletries. The wifi was a bit slow however. We did not use their breakfast or dining options but did buy snacks at the combini store. The hotel lobby had beautiful holiday decorations. We were also able to store our luggage early before the 3pm check in time which was helpful. The front desk staff were very efficient, spoke English fairly well, and made us feel welcomed. We were most impressed when we checked out and needed to call an unexpected taxi to Shin Osaka station to catch the shinkansen. The desk clerk quickly arranged the taxi arrival, called an elevator, escorted us down to the basement taxi zone, helped with our luggage and bowed as we drove away. Above and beyond excellent customer service. This is a great place to stay for a USJ family visit as it's a convenient location to the park, provides top notch customer service, located near lots of dining options in city walk, and nearby to the JR station for other Osaka adventures.

We (a family of 4) had an amazing time in this hotel for 5 nights and we wish we could stay longer. We were lucky (or organised enough) to be able to have an interconnecting family room. It's spacious and it has a great harbour view. It's very quiet in the room despite all the screaming from the roller coaster just right in front of the hotel. It feels very luxurious despite it's not in the luxury floor. The beds are huge and comfortable. We also love the bathrooms with spa bath and toilet is in a separate area thus we don't have to fight to use the toilet. There is coin operated washing machine and dryer in every floor which is very handy for family with young kids going through lots of dirty clothes. Location is perfect, right in front of the park and there's lots of shopping and restaurants all around the hotel. MRT station is just 1 min walk and there is a ferry terminal just across the road where we took the ferry to Osaka Port and visit Osaka Aquarium (which is also a must do - amazing views along the Harbour). Daily breakfast is included in our package and it is a kids friendly restaurant. Just a few little downside - slow internet, no swimming pool, no gym. Overal, we had an excellent and wonderful stay! It's one of the best kid's friendly hotels we have stayed

Pictures of rooms on their website are far from the actual. Paid $1000 for this rathole. First time in a hotel where the writing desk is a portable folding table. Its like he interior designer and the owner of the hotel had a misunderstanding.

Pros: Location location, closest to park front gate (but not by far). Room was pretty nice. Quiet. Bed was comfortable. Nice bath amenities. Fridge. Kettle. A/C & heat worked well. Wifi was fast enough to stream. "Luxury floor" room meant that when I called a down elevator, it wouldn't already be full on arrival - no small thing. Cons: Nice hotel that looks a bit beat up, because thousands of human animals bump around in it every day. No room service, and nothing but convenience store food after 9:30p (nice that Lawson is 24h, though). Not a peaceful place, but that's not why we come here!

PROS: 1. Location! Within Universal City Walk just around 250 meters away from the entrance of Universal Studios. It is also only around 200 m away from Universal City station. 2. Size of the room was a pleasant surprise. I was even initially confused thinking they gave us the wrong room. 3. Great view of the park as well as of the Tempozan bridge and ferris wheel from our room. 4. Our floor has an ice machine, water dispenser (they provided us with a carafe in our room), and coin laundry. Not sure about the other floors though. 5. Convenience store at the ground floor, and lots of dining options at Universal City Walk. 6. Fun hotel theme 7. Friendly and accommodating personnel. CON: 1. Wi-fi at the time of our visit was slow and unstable, but they did leave us a note informing us that they are undergoing network system upgrades so I think this will improve soon.

The convenience of the location can't be understated, the staff were 1st class, the presentation was seamless. Pretty sure we had the best room you could wish for. Closest thing you can get to actually staying in the park, the view at night is awesome and there's no need to worry about crowds getting to and from the park.

Our three night stay at the Park Front Hotel afforded a beautiful view of Universal Studios Japan (USJ) and easy access to the park itself. This is the primary reason customers should choose this hotel for your visit to USJ; no other hotel is closer to the park entrance. We also found our room to be generous in size by Japanese standards (40 square meters). Unfortunately, the large size was just about the best thing about the room itself, which was otherwise dated and a bit run down. I’m a big “clean carpet” guy, and the Park Front scored low when it came to carpet in our room. Lastly, with regards to the room, the internet speeds were horrendous. If internet is of any value to you, avoid Room No. 2006 (and perhaps others). Our amazingly bad internet afforded more family time, which was great, but being unable to load simple web pages got annoying quickly. In terms of service, the hotel provides standard good Japanese service. Staff were friendly and helpful, though not out of the ordinary. I have written about breakfast separately, but, in summary, it requires patience and a masochistic love for rooms full of rambunctious children and adults shimmying past each other in the hopes of snagging the last deep fried banana burger. Fortunately, Tully’a cafe is close, so there are other (paid) options. Come for the location, leave your normal, non-resort, standards at the door, and you’ll probably be fine.
