After traveling all day on 2 shinkansens it was a welcome site to arrive at this hotel! We had arrived about a 1.5 hours early and the hotel allowed us to check in our bags early while we went looking for lunch. Check in is at 3pm and we happily checked in to our room and found pajamas and slippers waiting in our room. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable shower to refresh in. Despite being right by the Kyoto train station, you couldn't hear a thing in these rooms. As we were checking out but hoping to explore Kyoto the next day, the hotel allowed us to put our larger bags in their lockers until we were ready to head on our next shinkansen. This was a marvelous hotel to experience Kyoto and we will be back!

Hotel was perfectly located inside kyoto station. The lobby is just at Hachijo Dori exit.
Outside the lobby was a plethora of restaurants, gift shops, supermarkets and retail.
Take the escalator up, and you'll reach the kintetsu trains.
Basic twin room is average size, some difficulty to open 1 large and 1 medium size luggage at the same time.
Interesting view out of the window. Very relaxing to watch the trains go past. Soundproofing is good. You barely hear the trains despite the proximity.

I stayed here for two nights on a tour. This hotel is located between the Shinkansen and conventional train lines, and is a long hotel. There is a shop right outside the entrance, so it is convenient for shopping. The double-glazed windows are soundproof, so you can see the trains, but the noise is not an issue. The room is compact and comfortable. Breakfast is a buffet. There is a line for Japanese food. If you want Western food, you have to line up again and line up again. The restaurant opens early at 6:00, but you have to line up outside the restaurant before that, secure a seat, and prepare to spend 20 minutes to finish. The Japanese menu was the same for both days. Some of the Western food has changed.

While the rooms are fairly well appointed they are very small. If you have 2 medium sized luggage bags there is virtually no room to walk around the queen sized bed. Staff were helpful and if you're a train buff the Shinkasen passes right by your windows. Room noise is minimal from the trains.

The advantages of this hotel are first of all the location as it is inside the beautiful Kyoto station (therefore excellent for getting around, for shopping and restaurants), it offers a luggage storage service and cleaning. The disadvantages are represented by small rooms that are suitable for a single person with a single piece of luggage (to be left on the floor), the breakfast is good and plentiful but not very continental (the cappuccino from the vending machine is truly exceptional). I recommend it for a few days.

I will be coming back.
Directly connected to Kyoto Station!
This is a must-have for Shinkansen users.
① When you get off the Shinkansen, you can leave your luggage at the front desk any time.
② They will keep your luggage even after you check out.
③ They will serve you a drink in the lounge once in the afternoon after you check out.
④ There are train views on both sides of the building, which is great for train lovers.
⑤ If you're lucky enough to get a room on the westernmost side, you'll have a great view!♬
Even the bathroom is made of glass (not sure if this is true for all rooms)
⑥ Completely soundproof and quiet
⑦ The facilities are so-so, but the price is reasonable
⑧ The morning buffet is also up to par and satisfying. You can enjoy Kyoto's Obanzai cuisine.
⑨ I'll definitely come here again next time I'm in Kyoto!

For the large modern bed room, the rate is not an expensive with this best location in the main terminal of Kyoto. Front staff are well service minded and both the room and public facilities are updated and well maintained cleanliness, made me comfortable stay. I will always choose this hotel whenever in Kyoto for either business or leisure.

The hotel was nice enough to store our luggage, when we checked-out for 1 night to stay at a local "ryokan", and then came back.
Location at Kyoto station (south side). Conveniently close to shopping centres, also at Kyoto station there are restaurants and shopping.
Room was quite small.

This is a really great hotel

We were headed to Nara to begin a walk with Oku Japan - so we travelled down by train from Tokyo
This hotel is in the station - on the ground floor which is effectively a shopping mall
We took a twin room
Plenty of room - a view of Kyoto - and bullet trains coming and going - but completely silent
We didn't eat at the hotel as there are heaps of small restaurants in the mall
Staff were helpful and good mannered - but then this is Japan

We would recommend this hotel for all types of travelers

It is the best season for sakura sightseeing. You should inquire about booking to the hotel in a hurry. I hope that you could have a good time in beautiful Kyoto.
