Located close to the main Kyoto train station. Rooms are teeny tiny, almost half of the area is taken up by a wide entrance and three-way bathroom with Japanese style bath/shower. Interesting to experience but a small walk-in shower and more space the sleeping/living area would suit us better. Hospitality tray, safe, frig, TV with Japanese channels, dehumidifier and oh so many unnecessary decorative items and “loan” clothing occupying much of the limited room space.
Microwaves, ironing facilities and vending machines are located on each floor and one washer/dryer, needing 100Y coins, is located on floor 5. Dryer was heating but not drying clothes.
Buffet breakfast was OK, no fresh fruit or steamed veg, which were available in our other hotels. It included a bento box, numerous tiny, tasty dishes beautifully arranged but not typical Western breakfast fare.
Cannot comment on value for money because our visit was part of an all inclusive tour.

The location of this hotel is very close to Kyoto train station
Not a lot going on around the hotel but things like bars and restaurants are a short walk away.
The rooms are small but very comfortable and the shower and bath cubicle is a great idea for space. The toilet has its own separate door which is great for privacy
The hotel has free coffee, tea and soft drinks available all day from machines. The coffee is ground from beans.
Breakfast was good but gets very busy. We had to sit in the lounge area as there were no free tables.
They have good facilities, washing/drying machines and irons & ironing boards on each floor.
There is also a very nice onsen
The time left on washing machines can be viewed from your tv which is a brilliant idea. It also estimates how busy the onsen and restaurant is.
This was a great leisure hotel
All staff were very friendly and helpful
I didn’t give it 5 stars purely down to how busy the breakfast service was.

Great location, close to the Kyoto JR train station. The rooms were spacious. It was on the darker side, but I like it. It gave a tradition touch to it. I love how the bathroom were pocket doors. The toilet was separate from the bathtub so two people can use it at the same time. I recommend washing your clothes at the hotel, but air drying it in your room or taking it to the drying machine which was right across the streets. When I told the front desk the dryers don’t work, they only said the dryers don’t work. There are restaurants near by and convenient stores near by. Very quite street. They don’t really offer much free service at this hotel. They do offer lockers room downstairs at the front entrance.

There is an escalator right in front of you when you enter the entrance facing Karasuma Street. Go up to the third floor in one go and you will reach the front desk. This is a casual version of the nearby Rihga Royal Hotel. The rooms are the same size as other hotels of the same class in Kyoto City, and although they are not large, the toilet has a separate bathroom with a washing area. There is also a large public bath in the building, which is comfortable for those who like to take baths. Unfortunately, the breakfast area is small and full, so we had to wait a long time to get a seat. There is room for improvement.

We have stayed 4 nights at this hotel as part of our honeymoon. Check out is at 11 a.m., but on the last day we asked if we could please take a shower before leaving, since we had a night flight of more than 12 hours waiting for us. They told us that they couldn't let us have the room until later, which we understood perfectly, but we asked them if we could take a shower in the community spa area (there is a hot bath area with many showers) to which they replied no, which is only “for clients”. We do not understand this refusal after 4 days in the hotel, and the attitude of the staff has spoiled our experience.
On the other hand, we also asked them to make a couple of reservations for us at good restaurants in the area (reservation is essential) and they only put obstacles (that they did not make reservations before check-in, once check-in was done they only made them if we went in person the counter…)
The hotel is good, but the treatment of the staff is a shame.
We do not recommend it.

It was a very nice hotel within walking distance of the station. It had a calm atmosphere, and there was a long escalator from the entrance to the front desk on the third floor, which made me feel like I was traveling. The Kyoto feel was conveyed throughout the hotel. The toilet and bathroom were separate, and the hotel was compact but functional and easy to use. The breakfast looked good, and I would definitely like to have it next time.

I stayed here with two colleagues who came from Germany. It was my first time in Japan, so I searched for a place to stay that was close to the station and within walking distance to the venue. It's a modern hotel with a Japanese feel that is unique to Kyoto. The rooms are not small, and I think they differentiate themselves from other hotels. The rooms also have a unique atmosphere. The only drawback for business travelers is that there is no desk. The breakfast is served in a three-tiered bento box, which seems to be a novelty for Germans.

Visited Kyoto end of February and I can say it was cold, specially during rainy days, better to have a proper jacket, boots and scarf.
The hotel is located just next to the main Kyoto station, 3-5 min walking distance, there are two big shopping centers, 5-15 min walking distance.
The hotel is nice and modern, I love the big bathtub in the room, pajamas and other toiletries are provided. There is microwave, iron, vending and washing machine in the hotel.
Indoor Onsen is nice but always crowded even if you come at midnight. The only thing disappointed me is a breakfast. I would expect to have at least a toast bread, cheez, turkey, oats, fresh fruits, or simply boiled or scrambled eggs but instead it was Japanese style breakfast like miso soup, rise, some other undiscovered food in the boxes.

Lovely, modern boutique hotel located a short 10 min walk from the Kyoto station. The hotel is easy to find and is about a 5 min walk to the subway system.

The rooms are average sized but fitted well (with decent sized bathrooms).

The staff are courteous and friendly. Complementary soft drinks and coffee (expresso based) were offered from 10-5 when we were staying there

Great stay

Hotel ideally located, near the station, but not far from a metro station that is more friendly than the station.
Perfect bedding, charming staff. But one downside: the rooms are a little cramped: you can hardly spread out your belongings, and you don't have much space in the cupboards either.
The breakfasts are plentiful and varied, but leave something to be desired if you don't want to eat Japanese.

How do I get to your hotel from Kansai International Airport?
Answer from Sylvia L
New York City, New York70 contributions65 helpful votes
You can google your path as there are a few options, but below is the fastest: From Kansai-Airport Station (there should be a train symbol to get you to the central location) - Via JR HARUKAHaruka 58 Limited ExpressKyoto (50 min) Take to: Shin-Osaka Station - walk about 2 min and from Shin-Osaka Station take to Kyoto Station. You are about 6 min walk from the hotel from this station. You'll want to get to Kyoto Station as your final destination since this is the closest train station to this hotel. Highly recommend using the train as it is the fastest and most affordable way to get around in Japan.
