I traveled alone and stayed in this hotel for a day. We checked in late in the evening, and the staff who helped check in was very friendly, and each of them was easy to understand.
When I asked for help after entering the hostel, it was impressive to try to solve as much as possible. The hotel had a comfortable atmosphere overall, and there was a space to freely enjoy coffee next to the lobby, which made it more attractive. By being in the room alone, I could respond, where I could drink free coffee and enjoy the leisure, so I could have a satisfying time.
Breakfast and foreign menus were provided so clean and relaxed that I could enjoy without a burden. Especially the monacca, which has gotten from dessert, is still remembered to eat again.
It was impossible to stay for a day, and it was a hotel that gave comfort and good memories even to those traveling alone.
When traveling alone, I stayed at this hotel. The staff who helped me check in was very kind, and I was able to get a sense of confidence at night.
After entering the room, when I made a phone call and needed help, I was very excited. The hotel is a comfortable place, there is a place to enjoy coffee. 部屋にずっといると窮屈に感じることもありますが、その空間で無料のコーヒーを飲みながらくつろぐ時間はとても満足しました。
The breakfast was prepared with a nice, clean stomach.特にデザートのあんこ入りのモナカは、今でもまた食べたくなるほど記憶に残っています。
It was a hotel that was an easy place to stay for just one night.

The highlight of this hotel for us was that they had very new, well maintained Panasonic branded power assisted bicycles.
They costs JPY1500 to rent per day however if you sign up to be an Oriental Hotel member, you get 1 day of free bicycle.
It was the best way to explore Kyoto and we thoroughly enjoyed this way of traveling and exploring Kyoto.
The rooms were no frills, simple and clean. It is a bit of a walk to/fro the station and I’d recommend calling an Uber or taxi which would cost around JPY10k only.

Rarely visited a hotel of this quality at such an attractive price. A modern entrance area welcomes visitors with golden light and a Zen garden in the atrium. The reception is as usual for Japan of selected courtesy. Rooms with good beds are larger than usual at Japanese hotels. The bathroom small but fine with a very good scented selection of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. In the evening, two different types of sake, apple juice, matcha and nuts are available free of charge in the breakfast area, so you can end the day quietly overlooking the beautifully designed Zen garden.

The rooms were roomy with a small refrigerator. Large, double beds. Stone instead of two piece pajamas. Electric kettle with tea and coffee in the room, water bottle supplied every day.About a 20 minute walk to the train station and a World Heritage large temple 5 minutes away.

Room Tip:Large busses can’t drive down our street as it’s too narrow so less traffic.

We ended up at this hotel for one night and I was glad to leave. The coin laundry was full at night so I skipped laundry that day. The room we stayed in doesn't appear to be on the website. It is japanese style with the twin "mattresses" on the floor. The twin mattress seemed to be multiple smaller cushions bound together by a fitted sheet? Past the short entryway, past the sink and into the bed area, there was a very small step that I stubbed my toe on really badly. So badly, I thought I broke my toe. The room is very small and we ended up putting our two carry-on suitcases inside the bathroom since there was a sizable ledge there.

This hotel is well appointed and central to many attractions. Join there club for free and you can use an e bike all day for free , e bike was a great way to explore, The only negative which is in every hotel I have experienced in Japan is that check in time is 3 pm whether they have rooms ready or not . If you request an early check in they will charge you by the hour !!

This hotel was booked for us by our travel agent as a more 'traditional' experience. I would say this hotel is a modern take on traditional Japanese design. The atmosphere was so peaceful and calm and beautifully appointed. Breakfast was also wonderful each morning! The service was friendly and they truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The location is also great, being within walking distance of transportation, great food, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. When we come back we will only stay here!

This was a terrible hotel. There was a very strong Moldovan mildew smell throughout the hotel. There is no night restaurant only Japanese offerings at breakfast. Some staff were very rude to one of our party when she used some glasses that were in the eating area and that other staff said we were fine to use.

What a beautiful hotel In a quiet part of Kyoto Upon entering you can have a free drink and a sweet Friendly staff We had a Japanese Western room, which was very spacious and clean, more than fine. Also possibility to do your laundry. In terms of location, this is some kilometers away from the sights, if you are going to Japan for the first time I would not sit here, otherwise I would certainly do so.

An excellent little hotel. Perfect for a three night stay; very clean and well kept rooms, superb facilities and all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was lovely with a wide range of local and continental foods on offer for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Located less than a 15 minute walk from the main station and a stone’s throw from a large and quite beautiful temple. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
