We opted for this accomodation in Al-Hada simply because of Le Meridien’s reputable name in d hotel industry.Plus, the price is too tempting.Imagine,a room with a balcony priced only at 403 SR including tax. It’s our ist time here in Le Meridien Al-Hada so we truly get excited upon seeing d facade of d hotel. We were aware that this hotel was formerly Sheraton and it was d best in d country some decades ago. We started experiencing disappointment when we entered our room located on d 3rd floor.(rm 324) I noticed d furnitures specially d 2 chairs with coffee table stained with dirt from previous guests. The bed and pillows however, were clean and comfortable enough.Although it has stains in d linings of d bed too. When I checked d bathroom,d curtain blinds was totally damaged and in complete disarray. We called d attention of d reception and they sent someone to fix it.Unfortunately,d housekeeper refused to do something about d curtain. He told us tht it would be better for us to change our room.We decided not to follow his advice instead we fix d curtain by ourselves.Good thing we were able to at least lessen d damage. The bathroom door started malfunctioning d following day.It automatically locked by itself as if someone was inside.Again,we called someone to open it.Alhamdulillah,d carpenter was able to unlock it.The sliding door which leads to d balcony was so heavy and so hard to open.Mosquitoes were just annoying us the whole night plus there was a loud music down d pool area exactly the time we want to relax. When I used d comfort room down d lobby near d pool,I was disgusted with d flooded floor and stinking smell. When I took a shower the tub was clogged and took sometime for the water to run down d drainage.Only one bath towel and hand towel provided though thre was a floor mat available. The toiletries are cheap and does not define a five star quality essentials. What saved d day were d amazing view from d veranda and the cool weather of Al-Hada.In fairness, the front desk staffs were helpful with all our inquiries and requests. The hotel needs a serious renovation and refurbishment.Undeniably,it’s showing wear and tear through the decades of existence.…
Overall the hotel is a little dated. Overall a 3-4 star experience. Unfortunately the rate at booking was double the rate available on the day of check in. They should have adjusted it. The reception staff at check in Hani was great. Rooms: the AC in my room didn’t work. Slightly dated. The bath and shower were great. No bathgown and the towels were rough. Breakfast: good staff basic breakfast.
Just arrived at one of the villas. Telephone didn't work, heater didn't work, stove not working. Waited over an hour for portable heaters. Tried to phone room service for 10 minutes- no answer. Eventually had to go to reception to order room service !!! Receptionist showed no interest in helping with any of our issues. Once room service eventually came, meat in the kabsa was rubbery, both lentil and french onion soup were tasteless and watery. Dead beetle in bathroom - so much for cleaning the room before we checked in! However, offered another villa later that night. As it was late, we said we would move in the morning. Day 2 dawned, and we were told that there were no other vacant rooms/villas. When we asked to checkout immediately, were told that yes they could get us another villa - " will call you when it's ready". The call never came - when we contacted reception - " nothing available!!" What a shambolic hotel - business mode obviously designed on on one visit customers - they are not interested in returning clients. Would not advise anyone to stay here …
Receptionist was rude. I did not like the way he was referring to me. Rooms were clean, pillows were harder and thicker than my preference. Others in my company liked the pillows. Food was ok for breakfast
Extremely old furniture , curtains are ripped and it simply just old. That being said over all it’s clean. Customer service and receptionist are one of the worst I ever encountered, they are just unhappy to be there . I left the room early in the morning and when I came back at 7:00 pm, the breakfast was not removed and room was not fixed or cleaned . I had to wait for 2 hours for them to come and just give us clean towels. Would I come again ? I would have if the staff were more friendly and welcoming .
Horrible hotel, Rooms are old with dust odour, service is messy, the staff will not answer your calls, your request from housekeeping will be declined or achieved partially, the front office are not professional at all with no welcoming or communication skills, the view from the room is terrible, the windows are not intact closed and enter wind all the night, the shampoo did not changed from the previous customers(seal is N/A), wifi service is very slow. I advise all never to stay at this property, I thought about leaving in the middle of the night and stayed only for 1 night
I would like to express my gratitude and love for Le Meridian Al Hada, Taif. We went on a two day relaxation trip bad we we were very much satisfied. The property is beautiful. Spotlessly clean. So so comfortable. Strategic location. The telefric is right opposite. The nearest city is only 12 km away. Shafa mountain peak was just a 25 minute ride. There ate many local restaurants nearby so we went good hopping nearby! The staff here are so so friendly. Miss Bushayr at the reception was amazing. She is my absolute favorite. She patiently answered my questions and doubts when I called her before we left. Reservation was so smooth and easy unlike many hotels in the Kingdom. The check in under Mr. Khaled was so smooth. I even met the Manager of the property and they all made us feel like royalty. The way they treat their is guests is so nice. I will definitely visit again now that I have been spoilt this way I cannot go to any other hotel when we visit Taif next. …
First of all I want to thank the hotel's management and staff,, my wife forgot a considerable amount of gold and jewellery in the safe, they called me on my cell, we went back and received the items.. everything was there.. special thanks to housekeeping and their Indian supervisor (whom I didn't get his name) and to Mr.Ahmed the receptionist. If you're coming for the teleferic, you'll find Ramada hotel directly on the teleferic station, but being familiar with both franchises, I recommend to go for the Meridien, unless you don't have a car.. • The location is amazing with stunning views over Alhada mountains. • the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and easy. • fast and easy to connect to Wi-Fi network. • staff were professional and efficient. • the property is well-maintained, as expected. Attention to some minor details is expected from such a name as Le Meridien: • multiple stains are noted on the carpet. • there was only one set of dental kit and the other accessories in a couple's room. • concierges are very nice guys, but I, repeatedly, had to call for them; checking-in and -out. • I didn't get that upscale feeling that other Marriott hotels have, i.e. the welcoming attitude and people rushing to help and serve But still, in general, pretty good.…
We had a lot of difficulty checking in because they couldn’t find our hotels.com (expedia) reservation which had been made on the same day. After about two hours of wait, way past midnight and after agreeing to pay again, we were allowed to access our rooms. One of them had no water in the shower. The next day they found the reservation and returned our money. The hotel in general is really good, breakfast is great and staff is really friendly. If you our lucky with your check in, you will enjoy more your experience there. For us, it was a bit traumatic because we had been driving all day and had to wait in the lobby for so long.
Fabulous hotel very beautiful with an extraordinary view on the Al Hada Escarpment. To reach the hotel you have to drive at the top of the mountain. the sun rise is extraordinary beautiful in the morning is raining in the evening. the room is clean and all facilities are very good, personal are very good, buffet is complete and delicious. You will enjoy your stay in.
