Detailed Reviews
The only reason why I’m giving this a hotel a 2 star is due to the location. Otherwise I would give it zero (if that was possible). The hotel is extremely near the haram especially the women entrance. Once you come out of hotel, the haram is just there which is great.
However having said that the lifts are so slow. We were on the 9th floor and sometimes it can take 20 minutes to get downstairs. The hotel has 13 floors and only 3 lifts. This is shocking so everyone uses the lift at the same time and it’s just awful.
When we checked in, our rooms were not ready. They made a bogus excuse saying that they wanted to keep us in the same floor so rooms will be ready after asr prayer.
We had to call house keeping twice to clean our rooms. On our last day they didn’t even bother cleaning it as they knew we were leaving.
The rooms are small, didn’t have a clue to ho use the safe and showers were cold. Breakfast was ok but all I have to say positive about the place.
The reception staff just seemed as they weren’t bothered to work or help anyone. A typical Arab attitude in the whole of Saudi Arabia.
When we were leaving, we asked the bell boy to take our luggage down. There was no sign of him so we just did it ourselves. Once we had all the luggages downstairs, he helped us take it to the taxi and then wanted us to tip him. Why on earth would I tip you when I have already done the hard work by getting all the luggages down. Silly man.
Overall I would not stay at this hotel again even though it’s close to the haram. I would probably look at another hotel near it as any hotel in that area is close to the women’s entrance to the haram (gate 25).

I stayed during Ramadhan with the group. The location probably was the reason to choose the hotel. No services and you only get service from the staff if you give them some money. The room is very small and all amenities must be asked to the the receptionist directly because the did not answer call from the phone facilities. The food are awful and every day during we stayed 10 days with the same menu. I did not realise that with the brand hotel group name of the golden tulip only give poor services like that

Location wise it is one of the best. You step out of the hotel straight into the ladies entrance gate. The breakfast buffet hall has an excellent view of Haram. However, the room given to us was too small - so small that it was difficult to walk through without stumbling on some furniture or your luggage. Since, we just had a night stay there, we managed just fine. It's location was a great plus.

Appalling customer service. The reception staff have really bad attitude towards the guests as if they're paying us to stay in the building. Rooms are absolutely tiny we booked a quad room and been given a twin room with 4 beds squashed into it. We were promised adjoining rooms but the staff here shouting at us telling us hotel is full when actually we had seen all the rooms on the floor were still empty. All I know is this place sucks by far!!!! Worst place ever to stay avoid like the plague. The only thing good about the place apart from the fact it's on the doorstep to Haram is the ground staff who are beyond helpful.

Probably worst Golden Tulip hotel in the world. very Cramp and small rooms, no space to move in the room. the beds are so small that your legs are out of the bed when you sleep. small bathroom can not even take shower properly. poor wifi in room, need to stand in corridor for wifi. staff simply refuse to provide coffee creamer in room saying it is not available. the management is in complete cost cutting mode, they just constructed the hotel and want maximum return from it. No at all worth the amount of money they are charging for each night.

The hotel is located right infront of gate 337 (women gate) excellent location close to h&m,Starbucks & lot of shops.
Food court .
Rooms are nice over looking the mosque but small even the triple room .Breakfast is so poor with no varieties at all. Elevators too slow & crowded most of the time.

Just a few steps away from Masjid al Nabwi and that too specifically from the ladies side.
Multiple restaurants available nearby along with pharmacies and grocery stores.
Staff is very nice and cooperative.
Economic price wise.
Rooms are not spacious and just 3 elevators. These two things are the only drawback.
