The service here is poor. Barring the receptionist at check in everyone else feels like they are doing you a favour when you ask for anything. Specially the room service guys. I'm ok with it as a transit hotel for a couple of days. But the staff really need to pick their game up considering it's not some shady joint, but part of the Holiday Inn group that otherwise caters a higher standard of service.
Several times ordered grilled chicken but what came?? Guess?? looked like boiled chicken, white, wet and cold, I didn't see any burnt on the chicken. Horrible! I hope the food have no bacteria and I hope no food contamination in this IHG group. Poor chef
The hotel in itself is quite nice & cosy, good gym, nice swimming pool. My room was ok, but the cleanliness was sub-standard, with lumps of hairs from previous customers stuck in the carpet. The bathtub plug wasn't watertight, so forget about taking a bath. Food was mediocre, but the worst of all was the service... it's actually non-existant !! This is far below what you can generally expect from any Holiday Inn hotel I went to before... VERY disappointing indeed.
Holiday Inn corniche was an excellent location to stay for my first post covid lockdown trip. The reception was brilliant and the staff super helpful. In particular Rehab was a joy at reception and Faisal knowledgeable and helpful in the restaurant. Bipol kept my room clean and tidy and Sunil ensured that my guest and i were well supplied with coffe in our social distancing meeting in the lobby. Other staff were very helpful too but I did not get all their names. Great work to the team at Holiday Inn Corniche Al Khobar. Thank you for making the trip a success.
The hotel is in terrible condition and the staff are incompetent people. I checked in to the hotel where I was given a room which is adjacent to a room that is currently being undergoing painting works so the smell was unbearable. I was then given a room that is supposed to be non-smoking but is right in front of the shisha cafe and therefore it is super noisy and wreaks of shisha. Room #3 was old, moldy, smelled funny and had broken chairs. Then finally went to the manager on duty that night and told him of my disappointment, he told me he will check a room and give me one that will for sure be up to the standards. I told him most importantly it should be NON-SMOKING. 30 minutes later what do I get??? A SMOKING room! At that moment I gave up and just sat in it because I was just too tired to go back and change to yet another disappointment. The ceilings are too low! The room balcony door doesn’t open or close properly, the wood is old and has holes (maybe termites or some insects) My head hits the ceiling when taking a shower! I would never ever stay in this hotel again! Holiday Inn should really check the standards at which their hotels are functioning, it is way overdue for upgrades. Cutting cost in every way they can!…
I stayed here on business, the room was at the very end of a long corridor and opposite the cleaners room so very noisy plus all rubbish was left outside my room. Also the room had a distinct unlevel floor so much so I videoed an orange rolling down from the wardrobe to the bathroom. I also had a kettle but it did not work and asking three times no one did anything about changing it. I was also over charged for a late departure when I compared with my colleagues who were charged less. I asked if the bill was right but the receptionist said it was due to tax? Room also felt damp but this could be the AC? I hope not to stay here again.
I stayed here in 2017 but dates were not available so i put the dates of 2019. Great Breakfast.....Lovely Pool for good children only as it is not deep.....Hotel is neat and clean.....Near to corniche......Not far from beach.......Recommend to try it
The choices of food was great but I was expecting the Live Cooking was something to grill but it is just only frying the fish and the options was so limited. The cold buffet was great and so much variety of fresh salad but the food in hot buffet was little bit salty. However, the sweet options are abundantly delicious! Must try the arabic desserts, it was really good!
I am one of the top tier loyalty members with IHG and I stay a few times a year at this property. It has a great location and the operational staff are very friendly. My issue is with the management team who tell me that my feedback is very important and yet they do nothing to resolve issues while I an in-house. This time it was again about cleanliness and in particular there was a used band-aid / plaster stuck to the towel rail in the shower and yet housekeeping failed to see it when cleaning. I gave feedback to the duty manager and yet no one showed me any interest in giving a sincere apology and some form of compensation. I checked out yesterday morning, two days after reporting the issue and I just received an email from the GM today. I only recieved this because I am in touch with IHG Guest Relations. Don't expect much from this tired hotel in need of renovations. They could excel at service but the management team lets the hotel down.…
Room smell sucks!! Not clean and AC filters were clogged fully till I called service team to clean which found very dirty. It's normal to smell smoke in your room as AC system is terrible. What's shocking is the view where shesha preparation area is on your window directly. Very polluting and noisy at night (check photo)
