Stayed here for the last night of 2018 in 2 rooms with family. Great reception welcome with fantastic cheery welcome and great English (apologies for our poor Russian). Welcome drink too. Good location, close to main square (loved the Christmas air guitar competition among the

We stayed here for one night as we needed to be up early to catch the train the next morning. It was quite conveniently located for the centre of town although there wasn’t any shops or restaurants etc. in the immediate vicinity. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast

The rooms were quite large and overlooked the "square" in front of the hotel. The bathroom was also well sized. We handed in laundry midday and it was all returned by 6.00pm. Well folded and carefully arranged. Wifi is not available in the room, but is available in the lobby

This is a proper international style business class hotel with great rooms, good service (although some of the restaurant staff would benefit from an extra English course) and a good location. And very cheap for international standards.

Hey Susan,i am a mid 40's solo male traveler who stayed in Irkutsk for a week in late January. I loved the Marriot, and the staff and the location were both top notch. The rooms were great, and the smorgasbord breakfast was a great fuel up before walking around the city for a day. The walk to Karl Marx St was about 15-20 mins(thou this WAS late Jan,and it WAS -30+ when i was there). As far as safety i never once felt unsafe, and anybody i asked for directions,or had any reason to interact with was very friendly.

Can your guy do invitation letter for visa?
Suggest you contact them and ask them directly. Normally they can do and don't charge, providing you stay at the hotel.
