The hotel was easy to find, safe and easy parking, close to the sea with great views at breakfast of the waves crashing against a mist laden beach. The reception staff were amazingly helpful, booking cabs and restaurants. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are bright, clean and large with a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good. The hotel is within walking distance of the Tug restaurant and the other shops and restaurants in Swakopmund.

I must say I was impressed. The price we paid was way below the quality of service we received. The room was beautiful. A bit more variety on the breakfast menu would be great but other than that I’m impressed.
Well done Swakopmund Sands, I’ll be back for sure

We spent 3 nights at Swakopmund Sands as part of a family tour of Namibia (self driving). The hotel is very conveniently located just off the B2 as you approach from the South and is in a quieter part of town away from the main shopping street (a key reason for choosing it). Super friendly staff kept the beautiful rooms spotless, the daily breakfast was superb (especially the granola and the made-to-order omelettes) and the Atlantic breakers are literally a stones thrown away. A perfect place to spend a few days in Swakopmund.

Stay was good, with friendly staff. Breakfast is good although some things were out of stock for a number of days, staff was willing to add other/extra ingredients. Wifi in some of the areas is very slow compared to other institutions making online business meetings a challenge

I stayed for > 7 days in one of the seaside cottage rooms, which was very cute and I loved the idea of a separate kitchen isle and sitting room, even though I never used it as coffee and tea were available in the rooms and reception area. The only negative points during my stay were the soundproofing and the non-detachable shower head, but I guess these are personal preferences.
In short, I would stay there again.

Comfortable beds, clean linen, hot water and great breakfast to set up a day in the desert. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and downtown shops and restaurants are strollable in 10 to 15 minutes, with the flamingoes and pelicans 15 minutes in the other direction. Highly recommended.

We were fortunate to be upgraded to the Superior room which is a suite and is everything we needed. The staff were very focused on providing an excellent service and were so friendly, courteous and helpful. The location is great and close to a number of very good restaurants, the beach and promenade and other places of interest. We would certainly go there again if the opportunity arose.

Hotel almost on the beach. The staff are friendly and understanding as we had a trip the next morning to Walvis Bay they allowed us to have breakfast early for which we were grateful. The rooms were different from your normal hotel which was a plus. Close to the beach this hotel is near three recommended restaurants that have good food and wonderful views of the sea. From this hotel you can walk to the museum, beach for sunrise /sunsets and to a few restaurants. I would highly recommend it.

What a lovely hotel. The location is excellent, the pier only a five minute walk along the beach, we could open the windows and listen to the waves crashing at night. Had an amazing nights sleep. We stayed in the cottage so had sea view and felt it was worth it. The decor was lovely inside and a spacious bathroom,

Also loved the plug sockets with different adapters so could fit our electronics in.

The breakfast was lovely, good selection and the omelette was delicious.

The staff were lovely in all touch points and the security man was really helpful too.

I will stay here again when I return.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a large group.
The hotel is located close to the shore so most rooms get a partial sea view.
We were given one of the smallest room which was tiny, it was very difficult for two people to move around at the same time in the room.
It got quite cold at night and took the heating a good while to get going. The single glazed windows didn’t help.
We had dinner in a local restaurant as the hotel only offers breakfast.
Breakfast was freshly made which was good but took quite a long while when it was busy on our second day.
