This accommodation seems to have been frozen in time. The buildings, decor etc are definately European 70's look. However - the accommodation was neat and clean, the bedding crisp, breakfast (continental) was adequate. A couple of pointers : 1. For a kettle in your room - an additional N$15 / day 2. Cost of wifi - an additional N$15 / day 3. To plug in our overland coolbox freezer - an additional N$15 / day 4. To use a hair dryer - an additional N$15 / day etc etc etc Pity that they don"t advertise an 'all in rate' - or is it a way to bring in clientele and charge them for the extra little things?? So - if you don't hire a kettle, don't expect to have coffee before 8am when the kitchen opens Would I stay there again - yes I would. But I'd be more prepared.

Room Tip: The outside double rooms have their own little garden. Much nicer than those within the building.

The hotel is centrally located and has secure parking. Wifi only available in reception area. Rooms are functional but utilitarian, with wood floors and thin walls, so expect noise disturbance. However, beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and there's a good shower. Breakfast was uninspiring, but plentiful. However, don't expect flexibility with breakfast times if you are off on any if the trips.... The receptionist was brusque and stern faced. Maybe a change of career is called for. Overall, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Very friendly service and great breakfast. Secure parking and close to everything. We had the family room which was good value for money. The place is clean and decent and has an old Agatha Christie charm to it. It pinches above its weight in its class. The extras are reasonably priced too. Will certainly stay here again. Thank you for a nice weekend.

We stayed in the family room, which was two rooms with a small seating area which worked really well. The garden area and pool were nice (better than in the pictures!) The breakfast was plentiful and nice, continental, with a choice of bacon and eggs too for an added cost. All the staff were friendly apart from one lady we found quite unhelpful and abrupt when trying to find a taxi. We had a pleasant stay at Hotel d'Avignon and found it good value for money. Swakopmund itself is uninteresting but the dunes and various options of activities to explore the local area are fantastic.

Room Tip: The family room we found was very good. The single and double rooms looked more updated in decor...

Nice place in Swakopmund walking distance to city centre. Cosy and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a safe parking inside and a nice garden with pool. The breakfast is. Warmly recommended.
