We spent three nights in a two-bedroom family unit, which was spacious, well-appointed, and homey, with lots of artistic touches. Location is excellent -- a quiet, residential street, just a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Meike and Klaus have been in the hospitality business for a number of years, and are very gracious hosts, always willing to offer recommendations and practical tips, or to make phone calls for take-out (we visited during covid spike), etc. Beautiful gardens and furnishings, this is a lovely place to relax after an active day. And the included breakfast was a wonderful bonus -- a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, breads, yogurts, cereals -- a really nice spread.
We enjoyed our two-days stay very much. The guesthouse is an ideal place to explore Swakopmund. The owners were extremely helpful from the first e-Mail contact to our departure. We had a nice, clean, bright family apartment . Breakfast was excellent, made you think you are in Northern Germany. The owner booked for us a table in „The Tug“ for dinner, which I would absolutely recommend. The guesthouse is a great place to stay when visiting Swakopmund.
Beforehand I was a little skeptical about Swakopmund. But it was very rewarding. The enthusiasm and helpfulness of Meike and Klaus certainly contributed to this. Excellent rooms in a nice fresh garden. Everything in the city within walking distance. And also in this Covid time a safe and varied breakfast buffet
It was a beautiful time at Swakop, we’ll definitely come back! Rooms are comfortable, modern, clean and in the family unit is a kitchen as well with more than you need! The breakfast leaves no wishes open! Excellent!!!
I stayed here 3 years ago, and it was great. I returned again, and its still great. Super friendly staff, comfortable, quiet room. Amazing breakfast. Wifi was occasionally slow though. Still a fantastic place!
