We spent one night in the guesthouse and then 14 days in the holiday apartment on the pier. Therefore, this review is mainly about the holiday apartment. But the overnight stay in the guesthouse was also very good, quiet, clean room and delicious breakfast. Parking on the property and both the center and the sea can be reached in a few minutes on foot.
The apartment was excellent. Very centrally located, right by the sea with a huge, furnished terrace and sunset views. The supermarket is only 5 minutes away on foot, the bakery just under 10 minutes. 3 bedrooms (2 with sea views), two bathrooms, large living-dining-kitchen area, also with sea views. There are two underground parking spaces belonging to the apartment. The equipment for cooking was good, little things that we were missing were immediately taken care of and brought to us. A broken deck chair was immediately repaired and two new deck chairs were brought in. During the two-week stay, the apartment was cleaned once in the middle and there were fresh bed linen and towels.
The two weeks in Swakop were very relaxing and relaxing, we would repeat such a long stay at any time, and would also love to stay in this apartment.

Cornerstone Guest House is a well-run establishment with thoughtful and comfortable rooms set around a pretty garden. While on the smallish side our room was well equipped with a storage area for your belongings including a safe, a coffee and tea service with French press coffee and biscuits, and a fridge with drinks on the honor system. There is a reasonably sized bathroom with a good water pressure and hot water. They even put the faucet handles near the shower door instead of directly under the shower head, so you don’t get wet when you turn on the water.
Breakfast is in their pretty all white dining room with beautiful photos of the area. The buffet includes a small but nice selection of fruit and yogurt, cheese and cold cuts, cereals and breads. Cooked to order eggs with tomato and bacon can also be ordered. If you are going out early for an excursion you can order a breakfast box the day before.

Cornerstone Guesthouse is a very welcoming and comfortable B&B within walking distance of all Swakopmund attractions.

Staff, including the owner, were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was 1st class.

The B&B helped organise a brilliant trip to Sandwich harbour south of Walvis Bay.

Would definitely recommend a stay here when visiting Swakopmund.

For dinner, "The Tug" down by the jetty is a great option, as is the little Doughnut Bar on the jetty for a fun coffee stop

A small guest house consisting of seven rooms all accessed from the garden, with the main building housing reception and the breakfast room. We received a warm welcome and were shown immediately to our room, through the delightfully colourful gardens. The room was well furnished and the en suite was large with a good shower (most important for me). The bed was very comfortable. The guest house has secure off road parking for guests. It is well located a few minutes from the Main Street and the sea. Breakfast was a combination of self service for the cold buffet and cooked to order hot items. The espresso coffee from the newly installed machine was excellent. The laundry service was very quick - in at breakfast, back by midday.

A really comfortable convenient place to stay in Swapakomund. We stayed for just one night as part of our self drive Namibian holiday. It is easy to find, very welcoming and very comfortable and quiet. Can walk down the the beach or shopping centre and there was a very nice recommended restaurant literally 100m away. Breakfast next morning was very substantial and all in all a very good value place to stop in Swapakomund.

Thank you for the review. I hope you agree that one night stay in Swakopmund is a mistake. At least two, better are three nights, since there is so much to enjoy in this beautiful coastal town.

This is such a beautiful and cozy place to stay at while you are in the city. It is in walking distance to everything in the city so you won’t need your car. The rooms are just so very comfortable and it feels like the owners just have a good eye for detail. Also very good and fast Internet that you also have in your room which seems to not be that common in Namibia. The breakfast was very nice as well. You actually meet the owners since they are present at the reception and the breakfast which was very nice as well and which we never before or afterwards experience on our trip in the country.
If I ever come back, this will again be our stay in Swakopmund.

Easy to find just on the outskirts of town but within walking distance of everything.

Large and light room which was very clean and thankfully had a well stocked mini bar as we arrived on a Sunday when supermarkets dont sell alcohol and the bars dont open until late!

Secure parking behind electric gates.

Breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and helpful.

Only downside was the building work going on at the adjacent plot - no chance of a lie in or an afternoon rest.

The guesthouse is centrally located and very private. The area around the rooms has so many beautiful plants and there are bird feeders that attract lots of lovely birds.
The rooms are beautifully furnished and have coffee/tea service as well as a stocked minibar. The someday laundry service is excellent.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Nice 2 nights here towards the end of our trip round Namibia.

All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout - it's probably what you'd call a professional B&B, staffed during the day, and with guests being given a mobile phone to call staff out of hours if needed. Our laundry was done super-efficiently and for a reasonable cost (and given we had got our car stuck in mud coming down the Skeleton Coast, I had some VERY muddy clothes to be washed...).

Breakfast looked a fantastic spread - I just didn't eat much as I was feeling eating fatigue at the end of a long holiday!

Lovely rooms and communal garden area to relax in. Easy walk into the main area of Swakopmund and area felt perfectly safe to walk around in, both day and night. Onsite parking.

This guesthouse is a real pearl. Conveniently located close to the centre (10 min walk) and ever closer to the promenade (5 min walk) and yet you are surrounded by a lovely garden and don’t have the impression of being in an urban area. Rooms are cozy and have all that is needed, we stayed for 3 days. Breakfast is excellent and the cook prepared fresh eggs, pancakes, etc…. You can order packed lunches and the laundry service is the best we encountered during our whole trip! The host are superb and extremely helpful in organising any local activities or recommending restaurants.

Hi Better late than never I hope. There is no air conditioning at all. There are ceiling fans and wall heaters. Security is not a problem. Just for the record we have a B&B and three separate self catering apartments all on different locations. Regards Peter

Dear Annie, Thank you ever so much for taking the time to write the great review in the first place and then thank you again for being prepared to offer your time to right what apparently was a glitch in the system. I would appreciate it very much if you can do from your side whatever it takes to correct the matter. It would appear as if you have to withdraw the review and then if you would, rewrite it. All the very best and once again thank you for the good intensions. Regards Peter

Peter, I think we'd stayed in room no 3. The not working remote was probably a battery matter.
