We stayed in villa 108 which was well appointed, and spotlessly clean. The staff went above and beyond to help us and I cannot speak highly enough of their kindness and commitment to customer service. The hotel's restaurants are a short walk, provide good food and are reasonably priced.

Port Chambray may be a little isolated for some tourists.

Wow! To say that we were blown away would be the understatement of 2017. The Address really feels like a home away from home.

We had our accommodation at Latitude Seafront Apartments (booked and paid for via Leo Prestige West on Airbnb in May) cancelled at the last minute by the host, for no rhyme or reason. This left us scrambling to find a place to stay as our flights had already been confirmed. I jumped onto Trivago and I booked the first Hotel that popped up “The Address Boutique Hotel” (without reading a single review and knowing that Boutique Hotels are synonymous with business travel)...

I have stayed in many Hotel / Spa Combo establishments but this one is hands down “The Best” for so many reasons. The Hotel has a quaint, quiet and homely feel and an unmistakable je ne sais quoi.

You HAVE to try Izumi - Asian fusion restaurant! The Chef / Stand up comedian Ellen was hilarious and the food was mind blowing. It was a dining experience that we will never forget!

The Manager Warren (an expat from South Africa) and his assistant Christine are the glue that holds this masterpiece together. They catered to our every whim and have bent over backwards to make sure that we got the ‘Full Mauritian Experience’ - Warren leads a team of well trained, professional and efficient staff who are always ready to spring into action and meet all of your needs (Kadjal and Bruna are extremely helpful, on the ball and have permanent smiles on their friendly faces.

Warren even booked us a game at one of my ‘Bucket List’ Golf courses which was the proverbial Cherry on top.

My family and I can not thank ‘The Address Boutique Hotel’ enough and we will DEFINITELY be coming back. We’re in Love with this Address (Rating: 11/10 - 6 Stars )

The villa we had [ number 108 ] was located on a pretty lagoon, with an island and some charming white ducks! Lovely furniture, and well appointed with all you would need for a high class self catering holiday.
The development is peaceful, and we found the hotel's restaurant absolutely wonderful.
I can't understand the negative comment from another visitor about the hotel, as although we only used to ' Cocktail hour' at the piano bar, and the formal restaurant, the staff were great, and the food absolutely delicious. The prices are exceptionally competitive for a high class operation.
The villa is not too far from Port Louis, which is so interesting, and also near to Grand Baie, where there are beautiful public beaches.
The security guy on the pretty entrance gates was lovely, always smiling and offering advice. It's a generous 2 Bedroomed villa, lovely Bathrooms and Kitchen, and a pretty terrace where you can dine al fresco. We stayed for 2 weeks and loved it. The gardens and landscaping are beautiful.
The roads are made from fantastic lava stone , which looks great, but don't suggest you drive more than 10 miles an hour getting around the development. One really charming touch is the beautiful bell that rings from the Bell Tower. Lots of attention to detail, and although a new development, it manages to have a feel of an old hillside village.

Pretty site, though quite isolated. But the staff! I travel constantly for work: I've worked in 47 countries and visited 60 countries. I ratrely meet rudeness and lack of interest of the level at this hotel. A number of things went wrong with the room, most problematic being no Internet on the first evening and no hot water next morning. An office was located some distance away and was not once manned during the 3 times I went there. Phone numbers provided for "assistance" went unanswered again and again. The problems were eventually fixed but I can't be staying in places where they can't be bothered to answer the phone when things go wrong. After 24 hours I checked out and they refused to refund all my booking, charging 6 full nights for a 1-day stay. Also, to all statements of problems, the staff answered "that's not true". I know how many times I rang and the phone was not answered and I find it amazing to be told I'm too stupid to know whether I rang the numbers provided to me. If the choice was between lying in the street in Port Louis and staying at these villas, I'd choose the street.

Response from Portchambly, Manager at Les Chamblynes Villas
Responded 25 Jun 2014
We believe that the client has misunderstood our web site and the OTA booking site information and has confused Les Chamblynes villas (self-catering) with a hotel. Les Chamblynes Villas are self-catering, fully furnished and equipped units with a basic amenities and a cleaning service. Offices are open during office hours and certain staff members are available on their cell phone for urgencies. We have rarely met such rudeness from a client and nothing seemed to satisfy this customer. May be he was tired from a long journey but the way the staff was addressed upon arrival was nothing near politeness. 5 complaints: (1) Client complained that there was no food in the villa – staff explained that he rented a self-catering unit without any food plan, (2) No internet access – problem fixed straight away upon arrival, (3) TV not working – staff explained how to start with remote control, (4) No hot water – when plumber checked, hot water was running (a water heater either works or not). (5) 3 cell phone numbers are given upon arrival for urgencies and no missed call were registered from client. We are operational since 4 years and have never had such an unsatisfied guest in the village. Our team is very conscious and we do our very best to accommodate our clients as far as possible.
