Admittedly we went in off season and overall I think the hotel was OK, but there are some areas in the resort that are quite dated, especially the games room and 'entertainment area'. In the games room there are 2 pool tables, but they are both in bad condition, with different size pool balls and all of the cues had no tips! So a little difficult to play properly. Table tennis and table football were OK to play. The gym was good and acceptable as long as it didn't get too busy. The evening entertainment was poor in my opinion. They had 'themed nights' each night and one of them was billed as 80's & 90's. But it was nothing of the kind! The dance area is basically a small area in between the front of the stage and dining tables, which are kept out all day. It felt like the same playlist on every night and after 2-3 days it was very samey and there's nothing much really to do at night outside of the hotel. The food choices were OK. But after a week if got a little boring and repetitive. There were birds spotted in the buffet and burger bar eating the fruit and food off plates on numerous occasions. Also there are quite a lot of flies around. Beds and apartments were comfy. There were kids were screaming and crying around the pool, so it's not really relaxing. It seems as though there are a few pools at the resort, where actually there is only the one main pool you can lounge around. There are stray dogs walking around the hotel grounds. They wasn't really a problem though, but every night between 3:30 and 6am I would hear dogs continuously barking non stop for around 30-45 minutes. I was over in the far blocks 251 & 252, so not too sure how loud it was for other areas? The water was a real problem for us. Sometimes there was no hot water to shower with, sometimes just no water! I actually burnt my hand once because the water came out scolding hot. Just something to be aware of if you have young kids. Our bath and hand towels were taken and not replaced on 4 or 5 occasions. Each time I had to call reception to ask them to bring towels as we had none in the apartment. Once it took them about 40 minutes to bring towels! I brought both the water and towels problem to the hotel managers attention saying I was getting frustrated with it. To his credit he acted on it, but the water was still an issue after this at times. He also replaced the mini bar in one of our rooms with a new fridge as the other one wasn't getting cold. One thing about Anelia that was good were the staff. There were some there that always made you feel special and made time to stop and chat, always with a smile. A few that went over and above I felt are: Alain (main pool towel swap) - Such a nice guy. Gave us plenty of help with our visit to Port Louis amongst other tips. "Thank you for everything Alain" Lucie (chef) - What a beautiful soul! Always smiling, always asked how we were and made the best pizzas for us!! "Thank you Lucie, your smile will be missed" Darshan, Prajith & Gaurav (restaurant/bar) - Amazing staff members. Always made sure we were OK for drinks etc and their service was great. The manager, Manaj was so welcoming too. Nothing was a problem for him and he was always making sure we were all OK whenever our paths crossed. Thank you. Overall, I guess if it was in full season then it may be a little more exciting to stay at Anelia. It's not a bad hotel, it just needs a few little things taken care of.…
We had the most beautiful vacation. Food was excellent and the service was just perfect. Specially the staffs who took care of us namely Mr Ajay an amazing person! Salman and Lilloo from the bar. Those pina colada and Margaritas was just woah… Mervin for the live cooking of delicious lamb steaks … Ludovic for the service and pleasant welcome. Mr Manoj who personally asked about the stay. We are surely going back soon. The drinks were absolutely delicious! They made us custom cocktails! Highly recommended if you are looking for peaceful place.
The hotel staff from gateman, reception, restaurant staff and all the staff are very professional and respectful. Hundred percent points for the hotel. The entertainment team was very good especially a girl named Chloe, sorry for name spelling. She was lively in her job,our special thanks and congratulations to all the staff, shall definitely be a repeater at this resort.
Room was fine as it was Ocean facing .Very disorganised at Breakfast / Dinner. Staff were haphazard. Food often cold. Housekeeping needed reminders constantly. General impression was not good. Rate this hotel as average the saving grace was the Ocean facing room.
I had a wonderful experience at the Anelia Resort & Spa The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone. Special thanks to Mr. Lilloo at the bar.

We have just returned from the Amelia after a fabulous stay of 10 days from the first to the last day staff where so helpful , friendly and always polite and smiling. The food was delicious every evening , we had a super dinner on the beach to celebrate our anniversary which the restaurant staff made very special 💕 Our room was clean adequate but the rooms facing directly onto the beach are lovely. The only criticism I struggled with was the pool I love to swim but it was freezing !!! No heating ! pool attendant was friendly and nothing a bother. Last but no way least Loshny the F & B manager who over looked most meals with a lovely manner and smile chatted politely to guests making sure they where happy and satisfied with their stay and ready asset to your hospitality team. This hotel isn’t to big and has a personal touch, which we enjoyed.…
I really enjoyed my honeymoon in Mauritius. I'm glad we chose Anelia as our resort. The place is really beautiful. The staff are so kind and friendly. The place was super clean. Many thanks to Ms. Loshny who checked on us everyday to make sure we were okay. . The manager surprised us with a special candle lit dinner to celebrate our union. We are definitely going back to Anelia. Thumbs up to all the staff.
Big thank you to NOOR, the pastry chef, to DHIRAJ,the chief cook, to ANNA the coordinator and PREETY at the front desk for their invaluable help for the wedding this July. A special thank you to NOOR .
very disappointing experience... .one of the staff here Ms.loshny they don’t know how to treat with your customers.Loshny told me to (wear one piece clothes near the buffet in very bad manners not wear lowers here only one piece cloths are allowed)she is very rude .Not at all for value of money. Unpleasant experience! Never again! Don't recommend to anyone! We found hair in the food at 2 instances! Flies were on food at the buffet, very unhygienic! We were discriminated against the foreigners. There is very limited choice of food for both vegetarian and non vegetarian!! Vegetarian peeps, let them know beforehand so that you can at least have 2 varieties😞 But this lady Loshny spoiled my all trip we were sold the dream and paid for a 4 star that isn't even worth a 2 star hotel! We will never go back and I advise people not to go.…
