I stayed here in March 2022 with my elderly mother. The rooms were a good size, the beds were very large and extremely comfortable. The AC worked well, there was a cold fridge in the rooms and the hot shower was perfect. The staff were very helpful and kind to my Mum. The gardens are lush and beautiful and there is a very nice pool. The rooms were cleaned daily, there are tea and coffee facilities in the rooms with tea and coffee provided. We had continental breakfast with eggs cooked to order any style. The manager and staff went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. It was a quiet place as the night clubs like some other establishments had not re-opened since the Covid restrictions. The location is amazing with the beautiful west facing beach just on the other side of the road. There are good restaurants very close by and the Cascavelle shopping mall is a short bus ride away. We loved it at Manisa Hotel and would stay there again.…
Booked Manisa hotel for quarantine package. It's not worth for a 3 star hotel. Air conditioning doesn't work properly. Poor water supply. There's ants walking on the walls. I found cockroach, lizard and worm as well in the room. Like they don't conduct any pest control. Poor room lighting. The bathroom door doesn't close properly. Receptionist is not welcoming at all. Poor customer service. It's not value for money. Worst experience. I honestly doesn't recommend Manisa Hotel Flic en Flac Mauritius.
First of all its not even worth a 3 star hotel, very bad. Its old fashioned, poor room lighting. Room had not been cleaned properly before my arrival. Air con does not work properly due to poor insfrastructure as it is at a corner of the room. On the terrace, its full of crow excrements, which smells very bad and is very unhygenic, you cannot even chill on the terrace. Food of poor quality. It looks more like a slum than a hotel. I would not advise people to come here. Major changes are required here !!
The Manisa Hotel was exactly what I expected from the description on my searches. What I didn't expect was the complete care & consideration that I received from Manager Maneesh & his staff over the days that I visited when my travelling companion was delayed at the start & I needed help getting him into Mauritius. Then the dreaded Corona Virus hit the Island & we had to go into lock down at the Hotel before being forced to cut short our stay. Again Maneesh helped sort out our flights to ensure we were able to leave safely. Aside from all that, the Hotel is opposite the lovely Flic-en-Flac beach, and there are amenities close by like Restaurants, Nightclubs & a supermarket. However, everything you need is at the Hotel. The rooms are comfy, they are serviced daily, linen changed regularly. There was a hairdryer, fridge, kettle, although no coffee/tea etc provided. The grounds & pool are kept very clean & tidy. The restaurant serves excellent food. Breakfasts are continental but with cooked food available on request. Lunch is available again on request. Drinks available all day. I was led to believe that Hotels can be expensive to eat at at night. Not this one! Excellent food! Three course menu of starter then choice of two mains & a sweet. All for about £20 for two people without drinks which again were good price! The staff are all extremely polite & helpful. We were unable to travel around the Island sadly, apart from one day, but certainly we were still able to have a relaxing few days in the sun & pool! I would most certainly revisit the Manisa if everI get the chance to return to Mauritius.…
It is with utmost disgust and disappointment i am writing this review! Having done two events with Manisa hotel 5 years ago, i approached them again for another one this year but alas! Communications via email to Mr Malick Normamode, catering and event manager has been an appaling experience. After several months and emails we finally reached an agreement.I drafted all discussed in an attachment and repeatedly asked him to confirm so we can effect payments ( plan also agreed) which he couldn't be bothered to open and confirm despite sending it to him three times with his questions all answered! He also got my name wrong which he never apologised for. This makes me think they've got big headed and cannot be bothered. Who writes in block capital red letters in an email to a client?? Despite pointing it to him, he didnt change the tone and to him this was quite normal practice?! This is after reaching a conclusion which he obviously forgot as he took so long to reply and wanted all sent over yet again! I'm confused at how this can be in a country such as Mauritius where majority people are graduates! Even the older generation are more respectful! Never seen nor met such attitude and arrogance! Someone please teach him! Still to hear from the Manager Mr Mungroo!…
First things first, I saw a woman staff member who Sits on the security hut to the left as you drive into the hotel car park throw stones at a stray dog as it passed by the hotel. I confronted her about it and she denied it then said speak to reception which I did. I spoke to the manager and said it was wrong and no one should abuse animals like that. He said he would speak to her about it. Later that day she apologised to me but it felt very fake. Only two of the staff members we had dealings with was friendly, the rest are not in particular the male staff. Rooms are very dated and only soap is provided no shampoo or shower gel. Beds are large and comfortable and gardens are nicely maintained. Cockroach in room. Breakfast is dreadful. Hotel is very overpriced for what you get. Last thing to mention night club next door has v loud music till 10pm ish every night except Friday and Saturdays when it goes on to 3am so you won’t get any sleep.…
Unhygienic rooms, architect of this hotel must have been such a dumbass. The whole construction of the hotel is a mess. AC is installed at one corner of the room where is doesnt cool near the bed. below Substandard quality of hotel in a place like Mauritius. No basic service like soap, sanitary kit etc in the room. Rooms filled with insects like spiders and cockroaches. This is the time when Coronavirus is in the air.
Visited restaurant in 1st week of January 2020 They don't have Ala karte menu so no fine dine option They offer us Buffet dinner @ very high price of Rs.600 per person (1400 indian rupees ) Dal was cold and tasteless Rice was of poor quality We were charged for regular water which they served in glass bottle... I had just 2 sips of water and paid Rs.60 for it Soup was useless Faratha was good Only 1 option in main course which was ok ok and too they served limited (kept at table) They offered us drink, we thought it was included in buffet dinner and then we end up paying Rs.150 more Huge miss communication, untrained staff (young college students) Desert was good but when I was about to complete it, waiter took it away and after complaining he brought new plate for desert but I can't eat double desert which was already informed but they wasted food... indirectly And the only restaurant on beach side road I found empty I suggest walk a mile more and eat at zub Express for super tasty and in budget indian food... …
1. Room lights were Dull. Not very nice. 2. Rooms Very Old Fashioned, 3.Found insects twice in the room. 4. Very Limited Food Options for breakfast. . and dinner 5. I shall give it 2.5/ 5 6. Safe provided in room was Not working. properly.
Parking: Few parking slots available Reception staff: Not professional Restaurant: Not clean, limited food in the buffet, only one non veg per day. dessert limited. As the moment waiters see your plate emptied they just jump on it to feel you like you should get out of the restaurant and go away. UNETHICAL: Preference is given to foreigners since they get free ice cream during buffet and us locals we get a mere piece of pudding which was not tasty. Rooms: Very small and filled with dust. Bathrooms as well as not clean. The mattress was not comfortable. The room was not properly lit. Location: Too close to a night club which disturbs the sleep. Price: Highly expensive for this awful service Complaints: During our last breakfast we ordered a tomato and onion omelet but received a plain one. we had to ask the waiter to make a new one according to our taste and thereafter we were informed that tomatoes were not available. WHAT A JOKE! GYM: A clear sign showing a gym but in fact, the gym is a storeroom. No activities provided in the hotel for the entertainment of customers. POLICY: Hotel hires mostly foreign workers which I believe is not moral for economic pillars and thus not contributing to reduce the natural rate of unemployment prevailing in Mauritius. FINAL NOTE: Simply don't waste your money to go there.…
