The Seastar Hotel in Flic en Flac is a boutique hotel with 21 rooms. Fully renovated in 2019, its colours match the ocean: turquoise, blue and grey. Every room offers many comforts: Minibar, air conditioning, TV, kettle, kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and a private balcony. Since most rooms are double rooms, the target audience is mainly couples. All rooms can be converted to twin bedding upon request and there are two units which can serve as family units with three and four beds respectively. The hotel impresses with its spacious lobby and rooftop. Several seating areas make it easy to have a chat or enjoy a good book. The bar is equipped with Mauritian rum, beer and international liquors. The restaurant with chef Feroze is specialized in fish and seafood. Being on an island in the Indian Ocean has the perk of fresh seafood available everyday. Prawns, Le Capitaine or Tuna are only some options of the big variety of fish dishes on offer. Also fresh salads and other healthy/vegetarian options are served. Mauritius is a popular destination year-round. Wintertime is about 23 ° C and in summertime temperatures can go up to 36 ° C. Holidayers can enjoy a plunge in the 10 meter long pool or the heated whirlpool on the rooftop. The rooftop lounge is perfect for a sundowner at the bar, a warm relaxing bath in the whirlpool, a chat with friends, or observing the colorful Mauritian birds alighting on the palms and mango trees. The public beach in Flic en Flac is just 300 m (a 4 min walk) away. It is loved by locals and tourists alike and with a total length of 8 km, it's ideally suited for long beach walks or a morning jog. The coral reef protects the beach from high waves, so the water is always safe and confortable for swimmers. Food trucks keep beachgoers fed and hydrated, but other commercial activity at the beach is thankfully rare. Walking down the Flic en Flac promenade you will find many places to eat, drink, dance and shop. A supermarket is located just 100 m away from the hotel.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis for a week from 6th to 14th October in the family room upstairs on the first floor and another bedroom beside the pool on the ground floor.
Both rooms were clean, with a change of bedding and towels, cleaned daily. Nice clean bathrooms and toilets.
This lovely hotel has a small pool which we used often and a jacuzzi both were clean. The food at the hotel was delicious with a wide range of breakfast choices.
There is also a wide range of drinks which we enjoyed by the pool , in the jacuzzi on the top floor and in the restaurant.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful with taxis etc. We arrived in the morning before check in time but were able to access our rooms after a short time. We also were able to leave our luggage safely on our last day as our flight was in the evening and make use of the shower.
This lovely hotel is close to a good supermarket and plenty of good restaurants.
In addition to the hotel restaurant I recommend The Creole Shack, Pakbo, and La Bougainville restaurants.
The hotel is also very close to the northern end of Flic en Flac beach with easy to reach coral and rocks good for snorkeling to see fish. Footwear recommended when walking over the long sandy beach to avoid standing on bits of coral or cones from the trees.
Our family room included a kitchen with table and seating a good size fridge freezer and electric hob. However we chose to eat out. We appreciated the daily 750ml bottles of still and sparkling water left in our fridge.
Altogether this is a lovely convenient hotel and not expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed for 2 weeks in May. The rooms are very clean with a comfy bed and a decent en-suite bathroom. Kettle and small fridge in the room, which was appreciated. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is a good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Ideally located in the centre of Flic en Flac, just a few minutes walk from the beach. We did eat in the hotel restaurant on one evening, but found it uninspiring and a bit expensive. In any case, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Our room up at the top had two sets of patio doors and a nice balcony. We would highly recommend this hotel, which has everything you need and the rooms are very economically priced.

We spent a great week at the Seastar, the perfect base for our holiday. It is located close to some of the best snorkelling in Flic en Flac. Our room was quiet and comfortable with every facility you need. Excellent air conditioning, comfortable bed, brilliant shower and a mirror that heats up to reduce condensation. The room was cleaned daily and the tea, coffee and bottled water replenished. The breakfasts included a wide range of hot and cold dishes with slight variations each day. Special mention to the quiche with the incredible pastry, the fruit salad and the pancakes with a choice of fillings including banana ‘jam’. The evening menu is very good and three times a week the staff organise a buffet with live entertainment. The guitarist this Thursday delivered a medley of British (unless U2 is Irish) music. Guaranteed to make us feel at home. The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. They booked excursions and, on days that we had to leave early, gave us a packed breakfast. We enjoyed the pool but did not have time to take advantage of the rooftop jacuzzi. Next time.

I can't express how much I loved this hotel. The room was big enough for two of us and a lot of luggage with a view out the back over a garden toward the mountains. The bathroom had a shower and was small but big enough for us. There was a lot of cupboard space to hang things, a safe and lots of power sockets. The broadband reception was also perfect all over the hotel and outside.

The pool is small but really lovely with enough sunbeds for everyone. I saw them being cleaned when I was there too. On the roof is a jacuzzi and you can order drinks up there and sit at sunrise and see the stars coming out as the sun goes down. They also have events like their national dancing and a dance troupe come along. I wondered if it might be cheesy but it wasn't at all and was actually really fun!

The breakfast was fantastic. I loved it. There were so many options and each day it changed a little to mix it up. They also make eggs different ways if you ask them too. We left early one day for a tour and they gave us a pre-packed breakfast to take with us which was a lovely touch. The hotel does different theme nights and dinners and really tries hard to make it a fun experience.

The location is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and a supermarket and a lot of bars and restaurants. The sunset right there on the beach is fantastic and families and local people are always there in the evening to see it. Canne e Sucre and King Snack were our fave places for dinner and they are a short walk away. There is a bar right next door to the hotel which is great too. We also caught the local bus into Port Louis which is less than an hour and a great thing to do to see something authentic and real and be with local people. We got the local bus down to one of the resorts (La Pirogue) for dinner one night too and it is cheap and easy to get a taxi back. You can walk down easily in the daytime though!

The people working there is what makes this even more fabulous. They cannot do more for you. They are beautiful. I would stay here just for the people working here alone. We will definitely be back.

We booked this hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.. Seastar hotel exceeded my expectations! From the moment we checked in, nothing was too much trouble. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Extra thanks to Laven and Kevin, and to reception for booking our wonderful excursions. (The dolphin tour and the South tour I HIGHLY recommend!)

Our room was clean, spacious and had all the facilities we required for a comfortable stay. Towels were changed daily and fresh pool/beach towels could be requested anytime. The hot tub on the roof terrace with waiter service was extra!

The food was really tasty, however the menu lacked variety and didn’t change over the course of the 5 days we were there. They did have a BBQ evening which was plentiful and delicious. We were also treated to live music on two occasions, both were really good.

Location is great, 5 minute walk to the beach, supermarket and restaurants.

There was nothing we didn’t like.. they even have a cute cat :)

The hotel is located on a quiet street, yet very close to the beach, restaurants, shops and everything else one might need in Flic-en-Flac. Our room was very nice, clean, comfortable, with a view facing the swimming pool. It had a safe deposit box, a mini fridge and a kettle and the internet worked well. Breakfast was diverse and plentiful, with both cold and warm dishes: eggs, sausages, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, pastries, fruit and vegetables. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant a few times and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. While the rooms are nice and well-equipped, the hotel and restaurant staff is what sets this place apart. They were very friendly, helpful and professional and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. They provided us a lot of useful information and Kevin took us on a couple of tours of the island. Many thanks to Valerie, Mervyn, Kevin and team for the excellent service. We look forward to coming back to Mauritius.

The welcome and service at this small hotel couldn’t be better. The staff appear to work like a big happy team which serves to make for a good stay.
We stayed for a week and had originally planned to try different restaurants in the area for our meals but the food and in particular the Mauritian Buffet was excellent so we ate in the hotel most nights. The breakfast buffet is also worthy of note with a range of hot, cold, sweet and savoury foods, no two days were the same.
The room had everything we needed, air con, a small fridge and a spacious balcony (with a helpful line to dry wet swimwear). The hotel provides towels for the pool/beach.
Just a couple of minutes walk from the beach, even closer to the supermarket we found this hotel an excellent base for exploring Mauritius. It was easy to book trips to see the sights around the island.
It would be really lovely to come back one day

We booked a double room incl. breakfast and could not have been happier with our stay. The room is very well maintained and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of tasty options and the staff is extremely kind. Also, the hotel is very well situated to explore the entire West coast of Mauritius including the various hiking and beach locations around the Black River Gorges National Park (rental car is highly recommended to make the most of your holiday). Also within Flic en Flac Shopping /grocery amenities, restaurants and the beach are within walking distance. We highly recommend the hotel as base to explore the West Coast of Mauritius.

We stayed at Seastar Hotel for 20 days and I am simply amazed by the hospitality, care and attention to detail by all of the staff. The hotel is small and doesn’t feel overcrowded even when it’s full. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and with all necessary amenities. The beach is at a 2 minute walk from the building.
We spent Christmas holidays here and we felt like part of a big family which is rare in European hotels. The food at the restaurant is one of the best in Flic en Flac and we loved dining by the pool every other night. The hotel is LGBTQ friendly and you feel completely safe and respected there.
Special thanks to the people in this place who made us feel at home surrounded by friends and not just staff - Valerie, Shaberra, Jared, Kevin, Oma and Fabian. And last but not least - thank you Chef Yu and the talented team in the kitchen for the exquisite dining experience.

The hotel is totally recommendable! The staff is very nice, helpful and professional. Breakfast at this hotel is excellent, very large selection of dishes, every day there were new dishes (definietly the best breakfasts comparing to 2 other hotels). The cleanliness is another huge asset of this place - spotless every day. The hotel is located in an ideal location - very close tothe beach, super base for exploring the island. The hotel has its own private parking, we felt very safe and taken care of here. The gem is the rooftop with Jacuzzi, from where you can watch the stars and beautiful sunsets. In person the hotel looks even nicer than in the pictures - very cozy along with various details. We recommend to everyone! An added bonus is a friendly and adorable cat named Sizi.
