The luxurious apartment was clean, and all the amenities were up to date. The securities are friendly. The manager was courteous and was very responsive to calls and messages when needed. It's a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach, and a similar walk time to the closest grocery shop.

The apartment quality was great except for a little Ant issue everything was great. Infact our trip here was better than Hilton of Flic en Flac I can compare that because we stayed in both the places in the same trip. Samuel was great in guiding us to different sightseeing opportunities and local shopping. Although SPAR is the local supermarket but we found Monoprice in Cascavale much better organized. We were able to rent the car from them too. They were great in providing us local knowledge of the Island nation of Mauritus. Be careful that it is an apartment complex and much of supermarket in the neighborhood closes by 8PM. So if your flight is arriving late at night Make sure you pickup some groceries on the way there as nothing may be open at night. You must pickup at least bottled water and milk before getting to the apartment.

Sugar Reef West Coast definitely a place to stay. Well positioned with all amenities at your disposal. Cyran, the host who was so helpful and ensuring that we had a memorable stay. The place has a beautiful very big swimming pool, proper security at the gate. Rooftop perfect for Braai area and well positioned for partying with friends if you’re in a group, without disturbing other guests. The master piece was when Cyran assisted us with hiring of the vehicle, he made things easy for us. Thanks for making our stay a trip to remember. I have recommended Sugar Reef West Coast to family; friends and travelers at large as a perfect place to stay in Flic-en-Flac👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Went with my wife and toddler. We stayed in unit D1 for 12 nights. We chose this location for its proximity to the beach and promised view. It turned out that to get to the beach is not direct -- it was a relatively long walk to the beach (roughly 15 minutes with our toddler and 10 without) along a road that had high amounts of traffic every time we walked, and there were no sidewalks. This was stressful to manage with a toddler. From our flat, our view was of other buildings, and not the beach. We asked the manager if we could go to the upper levels to at least see the view, and he said he would let us do that, but then he never followed through.

More generally, we found the property to be poorly maintained, with furniture in disrepair, lamps that didn't work, and even a doorknob that was not attached, making it impossible to open the bathroom if you closed the door. There were also places where the moulding had been removed from the wall, and nails were still sticking out. This was a cause for concern regarding our toddler.

The property was not well cleaned when we arrived.

We decided we wanted to move out, and requested that we modify our stay to check out early so we could find another place to stay. The manager did not agree to the request, and sent a fairly aggressive message to our booking company accusing us of causing the damage to his property. We tried to negotiate options with him, but whatever was suggested was not followed up with.

On the positive side, we were able to wash clothes and cook in the apartment.

It is worth noting that absolutely no consumable products were provided. No soap of any kind, no paper products (excepting precisely 2 small rolls of toilet paper for the entire stay), no salt, no cleaning products. There were dishes, but they were few in number and mostly mismatched.

The wifi was fine in the living room area, but did not reach any of the bedrooms.

The safe was present, but not functioning. The manager met us on the second day for unrelated reasons and assured us that it would be repaired the next day. This never occurred.

The property is loud. Whenever people came up the stairs, we could clearly hear them. We could sometimes understand the conversations of people in other adjacent rooms. The sound of the room above us resembled the sound of moving furniture. We frequently heard cars outside through the night. In the 12 nights we stayed, we did not have a single quiet night. We could not hear the ocean from the property.

We rented a car from the manager of the property. The car was more or less fine, but we noticed that he was charging a higher price than the tour companies that were down the street. He also delivered the car to us with half a tank of gas and insisted that it be returned at the same level, which is trickier than returning the tank full.

The property has a closed garage. On multiple occasions, the security guard did not show up on time, leaving us trapped at the building. On one occasion, this nearly made us late for a tour. Although the guard was supposed to be present from 07:00, on one day, we were trying to leave near 09:30 and could not get out because there was no guard to open the gate.

Before arriving, we requested an airport transfer. The manager charged us for this, but then informed us that it was a 1-way transfer, and a return ticket would be more expensive. The travel from the airport cost €50, but he wanted €89 to get back to the airport. We eventually negotiated this down. When we got to the area, we realized that all of the nearby tour agencies offer the same service for roughly €30-40.

On the day of our flight, we requested that the ride should come at 06:30. We confirmed this multiple times, and the manager assured us it was all taken care of. The car did not come. We called the manager to ask what happened, and told him we had no choice but to take the rental car to the airport. He told us the driver was stuck in traffic and would be there very soon. At 07:15, our driver arrived. The driver apologized for being late and informed us that he had only been informed of the request at 07:00 -- right around the time we were told he was "stuck in traffic."

We got to our flight on time due to some heroic driving, but I would not recommend this property or manager to anyone hoping for a relaxing vacation.

Good location if you are driving and there are many parking lots outside the apartment. A short drive to the beautiful beach and supermarket. Centrally located in the island to explore both the north and south. There were no elevators though and we had to carry our luggage up 4 floors. Would suggest to choose a lower floor if you have children or heavy luggage. The entire district was hit by an hour-long blackout and the apartment did not have any backup generator. Had to leave to a nearby bar which had backup power to chill for a few hours until the power came back.

Cyran is an incredible host! My mother and I, visiting from South Africa, had to make a last minute change to our accommodation and contacted Cyran. He went the extra mile in order to help us to feel right at home :) He came to meet us and told us about the island as well as offered to help us with bookings for tours and sight seeing. He made sure that we had a new can of gas for the gas stove without us having to ask, and there were fresh, clean linen and towels. The apartment itself was spotless, furnished with all of the day to day utensils that one would need. I must say that I was very impressed with the stylish furniture and decor which was noticeably chosen and put together with care. The wifi was great, it has good signal and we didn't have any connection problems. The washing machine was an added bonus and allowed for us to have clean clothing every day. I really enjoyed the perfectly hot shower with the sensation head fitting, the outside patio that gets the morning sun and the air con at night when it gets hot!im honestly really blown away, not onky by the lovely apartment but also by the 5star service from Cryan. We have really enjoyed our stay here at Sugareef and will definitely be back! Thanks again, Cyran! :)

I was visiting Mauritius for 10 nights for a friends wedding.

This apartment offered fantastic value for money. For a low price you get a 2 bedroom apartment with a living with a TV, bathroom, kitchen with an oven, washing machine and dryer. The apartment could comfortably fit 4 people.

The location was great with it being just a 5 minute walk to the beach and couple more minutes to supermarket, restaurants and bars.

The apartment was clean (and cleaned daily) and well furnished. It's not a 5 star hotel experience but far better value for money than any hotel could offer. The apartment had good Wi-Fi signal as well.

The manager provided me with a car rental which I needed to get to all the wedding events. The car was clean and performed well for driving all around the island. The price was a bit more expensive than other car rental companies but the quality of the car was good and I didn't mind the little extra for the convenience of having the car brought to the apartment and being able to leave it at the apartment.

The security staff were also helpful. The one night I didn't want to drive as I was going to have a few drinks another wedding guest was going to pick me up from my apartment for the event. However when they were running late and hence unable to pick me up the security staff were able to call me a taxi within 10 minutes. I learned from experience that it can be quiet hard to get a last minute taxi in Mauritius so it was very helpful that the security staff were able to sort that out for me last minute.

The main improvement I'd suggest is they don't provide any hand soap in the bathroom or washing liquid and condiments in the kitchen. It would be helpful if these small things were provided as I had to buy all this from the supermarket which obviously wouldn't get used up over the course of a holiday so ended up being left behind.

Good location, withing walking distance from the beach. When considering the cost and what you get for it, this has to be one of the best apartments I have stayed in. The owner is very nice and will help you with any questions you might have. Would defiantly recommend :)

Very very good. Good location for both beach, restaurants, facilities, pool, service and a grocery store close by. Apartement very good, modern, clean and large. Very quite, it felt like we had the pool to ourselves. When we arrived the host drove us around for a short sightseeing, very friendly. They helped us out with taxi driver, rental care and everything we needed. We will be glad to return.
