Best gluten free holiday ever! As someone with coeliac disease, eating at restaurants can feel a bit stressful and I have frequently been glutened when eating out. However, from the second I arrived, I felt assured that my dietary needs were taken care of and at every restaurant the team really went over and above. Huge credit to Linda, Hussein and Kudo at Villu and Mandhoo restaurants. Everything else about the holiday was exceptional and amazing as usual !
This resort is an amazing and magical resort. The setting is beautiful and the staff make you feel so special. We celebrated our 20th year and we’re met with champagne, fresh fruit, and macaroons. Our bed was decorated, it was so lovely. We were in room 342, an over water bungalow with pool and no obstructed views. Simply paradise. Niyaz, our housekeeper, anticipated our ever need, he might as well been a butler. He came twice a day and always brought the things he knew were were fond of. Then we have another Niyaz, the manager at Vilu. Such amazing customer service, so friendly and went out of his way to make things special for us. He was a friend by the time we left, and he really contributed to the magic of the stay, especially at breakfast. Naeem, my contact for the entire stay was wonderful and made getting reservations easy and informative. He went out of his way to provide special decorations for our big day. We loved the food at dinner especially at Vilu, and Atoll but our favorite dinner was on our anniversary at Sunset Grill. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious, the chefs did a wonderful job on the seafood grill we ordered. It was such a fantastic meal! You must come to this amazing resort, you’ll feel like you are on a secluded island, yet there is many things to do. Their reef house was teeming with fish, and other creatures. Splurge for an overwater bungalow, it is well worth the money! Thank You Conrad, we will visit again!…
We had an amazing time at Conrad Maldives! It was hospitality at its finest with exceptional service. We were also thankful to be recognised as Hilton members and accorded wonderful benefits. Would like to appreciate staff members that made our stay great: Azlan our housekeeper - Never have we had such perfect cleaning service for our rooms. He also spent time pointing out the numerous fishes around our villa. Bema our host - Thanks for always checking in on us and helping with our requests and queries. Cosy (Atoll) & Niyza (Vilu) restaurant managers - Appreciate the sincere service that made our meals enjoyable. Thanks Cosy also for sharing more on wine appreciation.
Crystal clear waters, abundant see life, excellent facilities, great customer service ❤️ They have a lot of activities they offer including a few that are free like canoe, pedal boat, paddle boarding etc… happy hour is a must and there are a ton of options in their buffet breakfast 🥞
We visited back in 2018 and the experience was top notch. We tried to visit again in 2020, but COVID set us back so we canceled. We then proceed to "miss" our Qatar flight which cut our stay from 8 days to 7 days. Word to the wish, Qatar at JFK said we were late even though we arrived 1hr and 35mins before departure. Get there 3 hrs ahead people! Our April 2022 visit happened the exact same way as our December 2018 visit, except for the fact that we actually spent an hour at the lounge close to the airport before boarding the seaplane to Rangali Island. Here's a rundown: - You get to the airport and a hotel staff will already be waiting for you out there. - Hotel staff will assist with your luggage then assist with checking you in for the seaplane. - If your seaplane boarding time is fair away (ours was 5PM due to the time of the year) hotel staff will arrange to take you to their lounge where you'll be fed and relaxed until your seaplane. - Come seaplane time, hotel van will drive you off to the seaplane hanger/terminal. - You'll be welcomed by a personal guide upon arrival (last time we had Miwa, this time we had Naeem who was equally as excellent as her) who will then ultimately show you to your villa. You'll be pampered throughout your stay with their kindness and ability to pay attention. You can request a buggy (golf cart) to take you up for breakfast at the Atoll Market every morning or you can wait for the Dunie (i'm pretty sure i spelt that wrong) in the intense heat. There's also another restaurant closer to the water villas were you can have breakfast but they have a limited selection. The Atoll market is a buffet style, pick what you want type of restaurant. Naeem was kind enough to send us links to the hotel activity guide (literally tells you what and when activities are going on) the room service menu, pricing list for activities, island map and a couple other things i forget. Now i don't want to be a killjoy, here are activities i wouldn't bother doing: - The Itaha (spelt that wrong too) - Strong ray of sun shining right through the water will make it annoying if you go there during the wrong time of the day. If you've ever been to an aquarium, then save your money, There's literally no difference. It's not as wonderful as it seems. - Boat tours in general - Dolphin tours, wine tours, this and that tours, you may want to save your money. We went on a Dolphin tour in 2018 and didn't see a single dolphin. Not their fault but you may not see anything. It's hit or miss. The other tours are self explanatory. Who's going to the Maldives, after paying several thousands to get there for the island and deciding to leave the island to go on a "wine tour"? What i would recommend (i still have ALL links to the activities if you need them): Jetski - pick the 60mins ($350 per Jetski) without a guide and enjoy the waters of the indian ocean on your own. You don't have to go to far either. Massage - there are a plethora of massages. We picked the couples massage at the water retreat villas. A little side-note, tides at the water villas tend to rise earlier in the mornings and late at night during this time of the year. If you're an adult who can't swim okay or less than 5'6" it may not be a good idea to go in the water if you cannot see the two standing logs by the end of the staircase of your water villas. There are life vests in the closet.…
