We really do like 'The Grove' having just spent a further three nights here, this being our fourth stay. The location is spot-on for exploring George Town and the garden location is a green escape from the busy streets nearby. Rooms are large and the pool adds to a reason to

Excellent hotel, small, friendly, so clean, the rooms are huge and very tastefully decorated, service is perfect, a pool, the whole atmosphere of a bygone era, and in the UNESCO site of George Town, so convenient location to explore from.

Wife and I had a four night stay here, which was very comfortable with a large room. The breakfasts were very basic. The mosquitoes were a nuisance with the water gardens around the hotel. We would probably choose the sister hotel, Muntri Mews next time.

Dear mjpaddler, Warm greetings from Muntri Grove. We would like to thank you for making time to write this review and we apologise that your stay with us was not up to your expectations. The water jars in the garden are filled with various types of fishes (Guppies , Gold fish, Algivore) which serve as a mosquito deterrent as they dine on the mosquito larvae in the jars. The rooms are equipped with 2 x mosquito repellent lamps and a mosquito spray to be used at your convenience and when necessary. We also spray spraying all the rooms with mosquito repellent during the turn down which is done every evening. We are sorry that despite our best efforts, we could not contain the mosquitoes as the unusually hot and humid weather seems to have boosted the mosquito population. As for the breakfast options, we have taken note of your comments and are working on providing more varieties for our guests to enjoy. We hope to see you again at Muntri Grove to enjoy our upgraded services and facilities. As we take each guest's review and feedback seriously, we will definitely work on improving our service and facilities. Warm regards, Puspavathi

I brought my little girl who is a 10 year old Beagle. No extra charge but I did mention that I will be bringing my dog when I booked the room.

is there private parking available?
this hotel is located in a small dead end street/alley where there is parking for several cars; I believe that the hotel itself has 4 parking spots in that area.

As far as I am aware there is no specific dress code, they are very relaxed. Be comfortable and enjoy, it is a long narrow pool all one depth.
