I realized I was booked at the wrong Courtyard. I had a 630a flight so I called to see if I could get moved to the Courtyard across the street from BUF airport. Michelle, at the front desk, warmly greeted me and offered to cancel my reservation if the airport location could accommodate me. The airport location was not as helpful, so I decided to drive the extra 10-12 minutes and stay at the Amherst/University location. Michelle was professional and kind. When she learned I kept my reservation, she presented me with a bottle or water and drink voucher for the hotel bistro. Later she saw me working in the bistro area and offered to schedule a wake-up call. Thank you, Michelle for making me feel so welcomed. Travel can take its toll on being away from home. Your kind gestures meant a great deal to me, and I have shared my experience with my colleagues. I will see you on my next visit!

Beyond quick friendly service, the hotel was clean, well tended, and seemed like new. It was what you would hope for in a hotel experience - no problems at all! Everything was ready and welcoming in the room. The price was reasonable, it was located near several major highways, and easily accessible. Visits like this are what always makes Marriott my first and only choice.

This is my go to Courtyard in the Buffalo region. If you don’t have to stay downtown, can manage the 10-15 minute commute each day for work, this is a great option. The hotel has been updated inside / out, with minimal renovations still ongoing on the interior. The Bistro is open again, the staff is super friendly and accommodating, and they take care of elite members!!
I’m in the region for business 1-2 times per month and outside of winter when I stay closer to where I work, this is the best and most reasonably priced Marriott in the Buffalo/Amherst/Niagara region!!

No house keeping for 3 days and the front desk has a really bad attitude saying “ I’m not in the cleaning crew. Nothing I can do sir”. We had to clean our own room, take out our garbage and ask for towels ourselves. When we called corporate to complain, the front desk lady Lisa blatantly lied to the manager that we had our not to disturb thing on the front door among other lies saying something about our check-ins and extra person in the room which are also complete lies. The manager just ate it up and didn’t listen to what we had to say. Horrible experience here. Terrible staff and Marriott just covered it up for them. Would not recommend this place to anybody. Don’t ever come here!

Overall I would rate this as average. Not Marriott standards. We were assigned this hotel for a hockey tournament. Staff were very accommodating with allowing lobby area being a meeting place for families. The rooms and housekeeping were definitely lacking. On arrival our room had half a roll of toilet paper for 4 people. There was one small bar of soap, and a random bottle of conditioner. Limited towels. After several trips to the front desk, we managed. Our room was lacking a hairdryer and iron. There was an ironing board but no iron. We stayed for 2 nights. We requested a roll away bed, it was delivered after arrival. Due to no housekeeping, garbage accumulated in room and main areas. Beds were comfortable, foam pillows advertised but not available. As a Marriott member, I was disappointed with this hotel. Would not recommend this facility unless housekeeping improved.

This hotel is ok. There’s lot of space in the room and the bed is very comfortable. Parking is free . Staff in the hotel were very nice. There is no free breakfast but there is an on site restaurant with limited selection and slow service. It’s fine for a quick stay .

Worst Reno work I’ve ever seen. I was totally shocked with the quality of the Reno work done at this hotel. I must say, the front desk staff was amazing. Very nice and professional. The rooms however are gross. There was PL glue all over the walls, stains on curtains, the room was dirty, the picture frames were all broken. I’ve contacted Marriott to let them know and they don’t seem to care. It’s really a shame this is in such poor shape especially right after being renovated.

After three days in a house with no power and no heat during the worst blizzard we have ever experienced, my husband went out on foot searching for somewhere we could shelter. The Courtyard Marriott was open, and despite being extremely short of staff, had managed to clear their parking lot so they were accessible. My husband say, “I have never said this and meant it so literally: their efforts were a life-saver.” We’d like to thank Ayesha, Infonta, and the other staff who kept the hotel up and running during the worst blizzard in forty-plus years for efforts far above and beyond the call of duty. We don't know what we would have done without you.

This hotel presents a lot of inconsistencies. It is really good in some ways, but bad in others. For example: the bed was made up immaculately and the sheets were soft and very clean. You could tell that some real care was put into this by housekeeping. On the other hand, some of the furniture in our suite looked ready for the junk yard. The bottom of the sitting room table appeared to be gnawed at by a beaver—an interesting look to say the least! Also, check-in was fast and friendly. But, there wasn’t a complimentary breakfast, which I feel is the norm in these type of traveler’s hotels off of the freeway. Room was huge, but the bathroom was tiny. Bathroom was clean, but obvious stains on the living area carpet. Etc., etc. Our stay was quiet and uneventful, but still, I’m not sure the value was there.

Was initially excited about staying at the this hotel in close proximity to everything. Checked in and made them aware that I have two rooms and would like to have basic service to each room (towels refreshed, etc). Stayed a total of 6 days and received no service. Not even towel refresh. Went to the front desk to speak with someone about it. The guy just brushed it off and said that he will notify the manager. No apology or anything. This property does not deserve to be a Marriott. Not Marriott quality. PS: previously worked for Marriott Headquarters unknown to the staff.
The image attached was at the front desk and this is not accurate because not once did I receive a towel refresh.
