Detailed Reviews
Stayed 1 night as we were passing through. This is the fourth or fifth time we’ve stayed at Home2 suites. This is fast becoming our favorite chain. All the rooms are suites with large fridges. The pool is shallow, and safe for our 10 year old to swim safely. The gym & laundry facilities are much appreciated, and this particular location offers complementary washers & dryers, just bring your own soap. Beds are comfy and we heard zero noise from the rooms next to us.
Breakfast was busy, but the items were stocked and nothing ran out, my youngest was happy to have a waffle with chocolate chips.

Hotel's Favourite
Was our first time at this particular Home2 Suites hotel. Very well situated, right off of the I-290 highway and easy to get on the road to downtown Buffalo or Niagara Falls. The hotel is across the street from a large shopping plaza that has a Target, Marshalls, L.L. Bean, Best Buy, Applebee’s. Gas station is close by.
Lots of convenient amenities. There are two EV chargers, one for Tesla, one for non-Tesla EVs in the hotel parking lot. The parking lot is also very large, spacious, so nobody has to worry about their car getting scratched (good for us as we had a Nissan Titan pickup). Pets are welcome - there is a ton of green grass for our dog, and two doggy waste bag stations.
Fitness center looks nice and modern, although we did not get a chance to use it. Free breakfast has good amount of hot and cold choices, including make your own fresh waffle griddles. The lobby has coffee and hot water for tea that is available throughout the day, not just in the AM. There is laundry facility too.
The suite room we had was spacious, clean, comfortable. Pillows a little too soft for me, but bed was comfortable. There is a kitchenette w/ a full size refrigerator (great for storing leftovers) and freezer, dish washer, sink, microwave - again just very convenient and helpful. Heating and cooling actually worked well!
Â
Just a great experience, highly recommended for families.

This was a very nice hotel. Rooms were clean. Suites were nice with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee pot, dishes, utensils, etc. Breakfast in the morning was very good with a nice variety. The only reason for not giving it a 5 star was the price per night. I understand the need to be competitive, but over $500 for 2 nights, I thought was a bit much.

I was unsure about whether to write this review, as my complaints were resolved by the manager comping our stay. However, I think I would want to know these things before staying here and hopefully the hotel will use this as an opportunity to improve, because the staff I encountered were helpful overall.
When we checked in at 3:30 (check in time is 3pm) I was told that the room I had selected on the app was "still dirty" so they offered another room which we accepted. We were travelling with our dog who is very nervous. The floor we were placed on seemed to be filled with several rooms who were having a family reunion of sorts and they were extremely loud in their rooms and the hall, slamming doors, etc. and my dog was barking a lot, so I went down to the front desk to ask if we could be moved to another floor. This request was accomodated pleasantly and we packed our stuff back up again and moved up a couple of floors to the new room.
When we entered the room the smell of cigar smoke was overpowering, but at this point, my husband didn't want to move again, so I went down to the front desk to let them know just so we wouldn't be held responsible. A maintenance person by the front desk said "yeah, we know" as apparently this has been an issue in the past. They did offer to come and spray the room with an air freshener (I declined this).
After we went out to get dinner to bring back to the room, I discovered that the dishwasher was filled with dishes (housekeeping hadn't put them away) and the microwave smelled and had food spatters in it. I called down to the front desk to report this as well and asked if the manager would be in the next morning so that I could discuss this with them (told yes and that front desk would leave a note). In the morning I was disgusted to find that the soapdish was caked with old soap and there was a blank space on the wall where a picture had once been (now just picture hangers visible). In addition, the cable was out in the morning, so no tv.
When I went down to discuss this with the manager, she immediately apologized and comped our room. I appreciated that and I hope that the hotel is more careful with their housekeeping going forward as this would have been a nice stay otherwise.

This is a very nice hotel, newly built you can still smell the new drywall, paint and carpet. The designer did an awesome job with colors. Its modern and the best part is everything works even though it’s new not the case in all new hotels as a hotelier myself. The mattresses were amazing and the view from my room was perfect. Thank you and congratulations on this amazing property all the best with revenues.

We were in Buffalo for a 2 night stay, to attend a graduation. I selected this hotel, because it had a suite with a separate room. When I got there, they gave me a single room. Most hotels play this game, where they give you a smaller room and tell you, "that's what you booked". It wasn't what I booked. I went to the front desk and the manager did find me the room I wanted. The room was a decent size. The walls in the hotel are absolutely paper thin, you hear every noise the other guests make. The water pressure in the shower is awful, the water just drips down. The first day of our stay the wi-fi didn't work. The staff had me call someone in India to fix it. I was very annoyed, that I had to waste 45 minutes of my time on the phone. I don't work for the hotel. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel. It was just way too expensive for what we experienced.

We had requested an ADA compliant room and instead were told the room was hearing impaired compliant. Could not use the shower due to this. When we went to the front desk we were told it was ADA compliant for hearing impaired, which was a non-issue. Room was not very clean either.

In the past four days I’ve stayed at three different Hilton properties between Oneonta Buffalo and Horseheads. From this I think I’m a pretty good judge now of Hilton properties that are handling covid precautions correctly and incorrectly. The home 2 suites up in Buffalo at this point would be a property I would avoid. There were people walking around the lobby as well as grounds not wearing face protection even though there were signs stating it’s mandatory. When we got to the room there was no door sticker guaranteeing that this room has been cleaned and had not been entered. There was no sleeve on the controller for the TV showing that it’s been cleaned. The other two Hilton properties I have stayed at went the distance having the stickers in the sleeves and notes in the room stating that this room had been cleaned. The pool was a free-for-all there were more than the limited number of people that should have been in the pool again not wearing any protection when not in the pool. I totally blame this on the management of the hotel. To make it worse my wife was actually challenged by a non-face mask wearing patron of the hotel as to why she was wearing a mask and she must have Covid because of it. I cannot believe the actions of some people but I guess we have to deal with these people and move on. The location of the hotel was great and I’ve stayed at home 2 suites before and absolutely love the rooms. This is one location I will probably never go back to.

We booked a room at this hotel for one night stay with friends. It was the evening of a football game in the area, and there was also a large group or team visiting at the same time, so the hotel was very busy with lots of kids running up and down the halls and a large group having a party in the lobby all night. Upon arriving into our room, we noticed that the door was open which was concerning. When we closed the door behind us we found that it did not latch closed and could be pushed open. We called down to the hotel reception and were given instructions on how to fix the issue. Unfortunately, this did not help. We called down once again and they sent a staff member up to try to help, and the staff member was frustrated by this issue. We were running low on time so we decided to take our valuables with us while they fixed the door since we were not comfortable sleeping in a room with a door that does not lock closed. We also asked to switch rooms and were told that there were no comparable rooms however they were finally able to place us in an upgraded room but it was not the right size for the amount of beds that we needed. The staff did what they could to help, however they were not friendly about it and seemed annoyed that we were asking for a door that locked. We even asked to be placed in a sister location but were told there were none.
Overall, it was too many issues for such a short stay and I would not choose to stay at that location again.
