Thankyou so much for your good hospitality.great staff you have,so welcoming and understanding.we loved the lodge set.it made us really rest from our busy lives as couples. The walk in the mountains down to the Butoka gorge was great and challenging.
If you are looking for a couples get away weekend from the busy life then taita falcon is definitely the place to be.i had a great experience with family. The walk down the gorge was exhilarating and being surrounded by nature on Easter weekend was truly meaningful to me.. The staff was great, food was excellent and the chalets quite interesting. Lol..
We didn't lodge here, but arranged to have a meal. The location is beautiful. Its a treck out there so you will want your own transport and need to make a reservation. But the drive is definitely worth it. The food is also good.
Thank you so much to the entire staff at Taita, the welcome and care during our stay was magnificent and effortless. No request was too much! Special thanks to David & John! Plus Farn for the stories.
We drove down from the Copperbelt to get away from it all. We certainly were not disappointed with what we found at this lodge. We were looking for natural tranquility and away from the usual high gloss lodge. The whole place is built from natural bush materials whilst having an amazing warmth and luxury feel to it. Drinks were cold and food excellent. Bar prices reasonable especially being out in the bush. We booked three nights but unfortunately due a family member being admitted to hospital back in Australia, we cut short to two nights due to the fact that extremely limited connectivity was available to get updates from Aus. We really enjoyed our time there and the owners have even offered another night if we ever in Livingstone to cover for the night we lost due to leaving early. I might add that although this place is very Rustic to say the least, it far outdid the Royal Livingstone in character, ambiance and service not to mention value for money. Our last night obviously spent at the Royal Thanks crew, lovely place, very earthy and sparkles without the glitz…
Taita Falcon lodge is right at the edge of the Batoka gorge. It is 17km from town. Panoramic views of the gorge. A bird sanctuary...wake up melodies from the birds gives it a unique atmosphere. As you sleep to the sounds of zambezi water crushing down below the rapids. A hike down the gorge is a must do activity for the physically fit persons. The restaurant has a very good selection from fish to steak filets. Nothing beats the Breakfast with a view. The customer care service by is excellent. A pool for a hot day and ice cold beer. #theoverlanderzm
My brother, father and I stayed at Taita Falcon Lodge for 2 weeks and we adored it. The friendliness staff I have ever met - there’s always smiles! The lodge is idealistically locates just outside of the hustle and bustle of Livingston but close enough to try out all activities! We were even able to pop over to Chobe for a day trip! Everything is extremely convenient and you’re able to have many adventures! I adored my stay and would recommend Taita for everyone who’s looking for an authentic African place to stay!
Just what my partner and I were looking for. Beautiful, remote, intimate, luxury Bush living. Unbelievable views, best food in Livingstone, and gorgeous chalets. The location is remote so it’s best if you can do a lot of the activities in Livingstone prior to arriving. They overcharge on the transfers considerably but you can get a taxi instead which although is slightly less comfortable (and unusable in the wet weather) is a fraction of the price. Don’t expect air con as this is rustic, but that’s what makes it beautiful, with its outdoor showers, and private gardens. John the manager was fantastic throughout and can not be more highly rated. Faan the owner is incredibly affable and fantastic to chat to through the evenings regaling you with fantastic anecdotes of his time in the bush, with a couple of brilliant jokes thrown in. Faan built the place himself with an environmentally friendly approach and helps the local community through employment. So ethically this is a great place to stay. Would highly recommend. I’d rate it a 5 but some of the prices need to be reconsidered. …
Had an amazing time!! Friendly staff, professional service and great food! Perfect place to find some rest for your soul!! Situated just outside of Livingstone, with a gorgeous view over the Gorge, peaceful and quiet
Small lodge with stunning views, off the beaten track, in the middle of African nature, guests are well looked after. Good for relaxation. John and his team helpful organising day trips. Wify rather poor.
