It takes considerable time and effort to design a system that works well in any area of life, clearly this hotel understands this concept very well. Everything in the hotel is planned and clearly thought through to offer clients an experience thats easy, practical, functional and relaxing, the best location and service, will definitely return soon
Highly recommend The Royal Livingstone for any visitors to the Victoria Falls. Couldn’t really be any closer and the view as cross the lawns to the Zambezi and the Falls is just beautiful. Apart from superb location, the staff excel in all areas and can’t do enough for you. Seeing zebras and giraffes, baboons and impalas, freely roaming through the grounds was simply stunning. We will definitely return.
We have stayed as a family of 5 at this hotel in August 2022z It has been incredible. Staff are super attentive helpful and kind. From the moment we arrived with our musical entrance (the singers have incredible voices) to the general manager oversight it has been wonderful. Zebra and Giraffe explore the grounds, the restaurant and chefs service delicious food, the waitresses are friendly and the grounds spotless. The natural beauty is breathtaking, the falls in walking distance and so many picture perfect spots on site. No one could be disappointed with such a brilliant experience. My only suggestion is do not book trips via livingstone adventures who are located in the hotel. I will be writing a separate review of them…
While the facility is good the serve and food are terrible. The hotel is over staffed but poorly trained and managed. The food selection is very limited and worse than fast food but at five star prices. The staff stands around all day playing on their phones. The owner and management should be embarrassed. We talked to multiple groups staying here who had the same impression. One group who owned numerous hotels in the USA said they would give the hotel a Zero. The employees, management, Kensington tours and the government should be ashamed for putting people in the place at $1,000 a night.
Our stay in the Royal Livingstone has been nothing but amazing, the location and setting is breathtaking, service is top-notch and you will wish you stayed longer! Great fun to see giraffes, impalas and zebras, while relaxing next to the pool and viewing the smoke and thunder from the Victoria Falls on the horizon :)
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Royal livingstone. Every thing was topnotch and thought about to the tiniest detail. The rooms were very nice with a balcony overlooking the Zambezi river. The best part was you found your duvet covers repaired for sleep. The staff are trained to give their guests a royal treatment and experience. We had a wow moment on arrival at the main gate. We found a beautiful Zebra outside on the lawn patch and as we were driving through to the reception, saw antelopes, giraffe and zebras. A side note , the hotel has a few monkeys but don’t carry food around and leave sliding doors locked when out otherwise you might just find a monkey party in your room😃😃. Please bring some mosquito spray or shut the sliding doors by 2pm. Note that mosquitos in Zambia do not carry malaria. They have three options for food but went for the a la carte menu and it was absolutely divine. Transportation is by cart to your room or if coming from activities at the Avani hotel. The hotel is truly five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️…
I would like to state that The Royal is the best place I have visited in my history of visiting Livingstone. very welcoming staff that really give you the royal feeling. The name is definitely what you get.
Stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 4 and had the most wonderful time. The rooms are luxurious, the food and drinks delicious and the staff most helpful. The location of this hotel, right on the edge of the Zambezi, is spectacular with The Victoria Falls being a short walk away. We did amazing activities - helicopter ride, sunset cruise and lunch on Livingstone Island - which are all highly recommended. Definitely the place to stay if you are visiting the Vic Falls area!
My time was here was brief but I could not have asked for anything more. The property, staff and food all made this Africa visit unforgettable. Every amenity was offered. I truly had a five star experience. I highly recommend The Riyal Livingstone.
We booked 3 hotel rooms for our girls trip. The rooms are spacious and comfy with amazing views. The hotel grounds are well maintained and the breakfast is top notch. I highly recommend this hotel. Bonus it’s less than 15min walk to the mighty Victoria falls.
