Nestled near the Zambezi River, the Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya, Livingstone Resort garners praise for its prime location and sophisticated ambiance. While the staff's warm service is often lauded, there are mentions of occasional lapses in promptness and professionalism. Rooms are celebrated for their immaculate condition and breathtaking views, despite some minor issues with mosquitoes and bathroom doors. The hotel's cleanliness and comprehensive amenities, including a state-of-the-art gym, luxurious spa, and river cruises, are popular among guests, although some services are considered costly.

I have nothing much to explain but overall the performance or service was meticulous. For any deficiencies noted, I have included in one of my submission in the questionnaire. An also include a shower curtain for shower rooms with one glass only to avoid spillage of water anyhow.

We weren't originally supposed to be at the Radisson for our trip to Livingstone, Zambia and Victoria Falls. The hotel we had been booked at for almost a year cancelled on us 2 weeks before our trip and arranged for us to have rooms at the Radisson. So we didn't arrive in the happiest of attitudes about the hotel. But once we arrived, all of our misgivings disappeared. The staff were all warm and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. Our Villa room was comfortable with all the expected amenities and a nice view of the Zambezi River from 2 patios as well as from the picture window by the bathtub. In fact, when we got to our room we found a Birthday cake from the hotel even though my birthday had been the day before. The food was excellent with both expected fare and local cuisine. I was even impressed with the gift shop. Many hotel gift shops have items only loosely related to the area. The Radisson's gift shop contained beautiful items that were made locally and were reasonably priced. Samuel C. Sauhuka, the Guest Relations Manager, checked with us every day to make sure our stay was enjoyable. I would recommend the Radisson Blu Moi-Oa-Tunya to anyone looking to visit in Livingstone, Zambia.

The most magical experience you can have on the Zambezi river, top quality in every department! We were greeted by very friendly staff, We went on the sunset cruise and saw a herd of elephants crossing the river. it was an experience of a lifetime seeing up close how majestic these beautiful animals are. The room was gorgeous and as per special request for the turn down service they had spread rose petals all over the floor and wrote I love you on the bed. Sensational!

We traveled to Livingstone as a couple with a young baby as hotel is newly open. We were excited to see this new hotel and eat at the kuomboka restaurant.

We arrived early to our booking so headed to the pool bar before they opened for lunch.
Bar man very knowledgable however even though we ordered drinks he was still cleaning and sorting out his stock at 11:45am. We were the only customers there. My husband ordered a beer which took a while to be served and initially without a glass. The glass then came after requested and was a plastic water cup. I ordered a cocktail which was excellent; he knew how to make drinks.

When we went to the restaurant, we were assisted to a table and with a highchair. However it took a while for menus to arrive. We felt ignored even though we were the only customers in. Lots of staff and chefs walking around. Drinks ordered which again was from the pool bar arrived in plastic glasses. They also took a while to arrive.
We ordered two starters and two mains.
Starters took over an hour to arrive and we were very disappointed in the charcuterie board; not all the elements were on the board as described in the menu and the cured meats were basically packet sandwich ham I.e. garlic polony and sandwich ham. The other starter was chicken wings which were excellent in portion, taste and presentation!

The mains: 1) radisson blu burger: generous in size. Texture, dry as. Maybe it’s the style of the burger?? Still, dry as! I could only eat half of it as it was too dry. Waiter didn’t even ask if everything was ok upon seeing half a burger remain on the plate…
2) rump steak 350g medium rare. Cooked very very well.

All in all: place looks fantastic with many many social interaction hubs. That particular restaurant needs a little more staff training to add and create a good experience, should a good experience be had. Also service was very slow when it was just us and another table in for lunch.

This is not a shoot down, this is honesty from a customer seeking value for money. We will go back again in attempt to erase our last experience from our memory.

This hotel is infested with mosquitoes like infested wherever you go i.e rooms, reception area, breakfast and dining areas, pool area, toilets. So I called to have my room sprayed (not in the room at that time) then you find the dead mosquitoes all over even on the bed after turndown service was done. Surely they could have cleaned it! You can’t even walk bare feet in your room after a shower because they all over the floor.

Then you call room service to order in my case chicken pie and the chef says that they don’t know how to prepare the dough because few people order that dish. Like seriously! Never heard such in a well establishment hotel like Radisson Blu brand.

We had such poor service from the waiters at the pool area on Saturday night. 1 drink every 1 hour if you lucky. When I asked why such poor service I was told we’re short staffed. When I paid Radisson Blu I was told that they shorted staff and we must expect delays. We ordered table bites which took over 1.5 hours to come. The gas heater come on for like 10 mins then the gas ran out. We ask for them to replace the heater they did after several requests and 2 hours later when it was time to leave.

Dear Valued Guest, We would like to apologize for the disappointing experience you had during your stay with us. We value all guest feedback and take your concerns seriously. Please allow me to address the issues you raised. Firstly, we are truly sorry to hear about the mosquito infestation you encountered throughout the resort. This is certainly not the standard we aim to uphold. Mosquito control is an essential aspect of maintaining a comfortable environment, and we are working on eradicating this issue to prevent such occurrences in the future. Regarding the cleanliness and turnaround service, it's disheartening to hear that the dead mosquitoes were not properly removed from your room. Our housekeeping team should have been more attentive, and we will reinforce their training to ensure a more thorough and diligent service in the future. As for the room service experience, we apologize for the chef's response to your order. That is not the level of professionalism we expect from our staff. Rest assured, we will address this issue with the culinary team to ensure a consistent and respectful service to all our guests. Furthermore, the poor service you experienced at the pool area is unacceptable. We understand the importance of efficient and attentive service, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will review our staffing and training procedures to improve the overall guest experience, especially during peak times. We appreciate your feedback, as it highlights areas where we need to make improvements. We are committed to providing a 5-star experience to all our guests, and we apologize for falling short of your expectations during your stay. If you would be willing to give us another chance, our Guest Relations Manager will personally ensure that your next visit is exceptional. Please feel free to reach out to Samuel directly via email : samuel.sakuhuka@radissonblu.com , and he will assist you with any future reservations or special arrangements. Once again, we apologize for the inconveniences you encountered, and we hope to have the opportunity to restore your faith in resort. Best regards.

The hotel is still relatively new. The rooms are of good standard and size, clean and comfortable. I feel the staff could explain more about the services the hotel offers to its clients. The internet connectivity should be worked on ASAP! The hotel should introduce a shuttling service to and from town on scheduled times at affordable rates to its clients. The boat cruise fare is beyond the reach of many local tourists.

I visited the spectacular Radisson Blu hotel at Livingstone for dinner recently with a friend. The location and layout is incredible with great gardens and atmosphere. Sadly the quality of the meal served In the restaurant fell far short of the glamour of the hotel. I ordered a rump steak and requested it to be prepared medium rare. The steak I was served looked like it had been hacked off a beast with a machete, it had two large lumps of gristle in it and was not medium rare. I asked to speak to the chef and pointed out the appalling: piece of meat that was certainly not recognisable as a rump steak. He was very professional and returned with another steak that was marginally better (only one large lump of indigestible gristle). Clearly the problem was not the chef but whoever manages the kitchen and buys such poor quality meat. As Zambia has some of the best quality steak in the world one can only wonder at why a premier hotel would be buying and serving such poor meat. I think it's only fair to point out that this quality of meat would never have been dished up across the border at Victoria Falls! So sad that that such an incredible hotel is let down by poor the poor quality control that has bedevilled its competitors in Livingston. Come on guys for Zambia's sake get it right. Ditch the person who doesn't know good meat - I have been served better at a Shisanyama!

One of the most beautiful tranquil locations and hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. Upon arrival we were greeting with warm smiles by the staff. We were kindly upgraded and stayed in the most spectacular room with a view of the Zambezi River. The hotel hadn’t been open very long but the staff went above and beyond trying to accommodate us. The lobby oozes luxury and is open and airy the grounds are immaculate and the Zambezi River is breathtaking. The sunsets will stay with me forever, they have a viewing deck literally on the bank of the river so you can see the river cruises and the occasional hippo across the bank. The pool was clean and never over crowded. The staff and hospitality were attentive throughout the hotel. I’d like to mention Fredy he was always very friendly and happy. The bartender called Happy was brilliant and made a few new cocktails with my husband’s encouragement. Also I feel Chef Rohit was fantastic and cooked us a fabulous Indian dinner, he was brilliant. Antonio head of food and beverage was always on hand with any questions. Please do visit the Spa , myself and my daughter had a wonderful mani/pedi. I would 100% recommend the River cruise which you can very conveniently hop onto from the dock in front of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel and for sure return in a heartbeat. I also need to give a huge shout out to the wonderful house keeping team that dealt with all our needs very promptly.

It was an auspicious start when the airport pick up failed to appear and the check in attitude of indifference did little to appease this view. The hotel in itself is very nice, the rooms are excellent with a beautiful perspective fronting the Zambezi. Going for dinner at the restaurant, having been shown to my table, I had to go and ask for a menu after ten minutes of waiters showing no interest and the food, when it did arrive was average at best.

It’s a nice place, albeit unlike other resorts nearer the falls, you are completely restrained within the parameter without a vehicle and it simply doesn’t compare to equivalent priced rivals .

If you’re getting a bargain, then go for it, otherwise you can do a lot better.

Staying at the Radisson Blu Mosi-oa-Tunya is an experience not to be missed. It is not just one thing, everything adds up to a celebration for the senses: the location; the ambience; the accommodations; the food; the service. What I loved most was being very close to nature in the midst all that luxury.
