We had the pleasure of staying at Papyrus Guest House for an evening following a late arrival of 10pm at Entebbe Airport. We were collected by a lovely man from the airport and after a 10 minute drive we reached the guesthouse. Upon arrival we were greeted by teddy whom I had been in regular contact with from the confirmation of my booking onwards. Drinks were complimentary whilst we were briefed and taken through our itinerary. Wake up times were discussed and we would leave the following morning after breakfast. Rooms were cosy with a great mosquito net. Fans that were provided helped to ensure the room remained cool and also helped to keep mosquitoes away. Guards patrolled the main gates through night so there is no need to feel threatened at all. There was a variety of…
We used this place as a pre-tour and a after-tour hotel. Near from the airport, the amenities on the hotel ground are very nice. It's a very good place to relax. The habitation is comfortable, the meals excellent and the people are very customer oriented.
Nice and close to the airport Only stayed one night but was impressed by standard of room. Comfortable beds. Good food especially the steaks. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Despite being so close to the town and airport it was quite and the gardens are nice.
I stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and the bed firm but comfortable. Clean sheets and massive towels to dry yourself off after a nice shower. Unfortunately the shower heads are those silly rain drop ones but there was a bath like spout which was good for washing feet (and other unmentionables). The staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful. The food was a little bit and miss, now by that I mean if you wanted a a full English breakfast tgere maybe some things missing. However, every meal was tasty and filling. I highly recommend the chocolate brownie for dessert. I enjoyed my stay at Papyrus and woyld recommend it as a safe and clean place to stay.
Entebbe is a crowded, bustling city and Papyrus guesthouse is a beautiful, garden-filled oasis in the midst of it all. The staff is very attentive and the rooms are comfy and clean. Papyrus is a relaxing stop off point before or after a flight to to Entebbe.
