Welcome to BlueMonkey guesthouse in Entebbe! BlueMonkey offers five rooms in different sizes from our budget single to our luxury double. Plus an nice Luxury Safari tent surrounded by birds and flowers. A substantial breakfast is included. The welcoming and warm atmosphere is what sets our house apart. Every room is decorated with paintings and pottery by local artists. For a fair price, any of them can be yours to take home as a souvenir. The terrace and garden are a great place to relax and escape the bustle of the city. Unwind with the beautiful lake view and a cold drink or Italian coffee at your side. You can enjoy breakfast in the dining room or on the terrace or relax in the lounge with a good book or a glass of wine. Take in the sun under a tree in the garden, where you can find citrus trees, chameolons and colourful birds. Public transport is a five minute stroll away, but we can also arrange private hires upon request.

It was my first time staying at blue monkey guesthouse and from the moment I arrived, I felt safe and well taken care of. The security is top notch, everything is clean and well kept and the gardens and decor are beautiful. The owners are friendly and make you feel right at home. A delicious breakfast is included and you can choose between sweet or savory. You can order food from a local restaurant that delivers to the guesthouse and there are many options for all types of diets. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms make you forget that you are in Uganda for a moment. The prices are reasonable and they can arrange airport pick up for just $10 USD. I will certainly be returning here soon!

BlueMonkey Guesthouse was the perfect place to start and end our 8 day safari in Uganda. Only a 25 minute drive from the Entebbe Airport (taxi cost around $10) yet away from any busy roads, it was great place to stay.

Andrea, the host, was extremely helpful with any questions or concerns we had. A true professional, very knoweledgeable, and very concerned that you have a great stay.

A shout out to Anita, Anna, and (Darn I forgot her name!) for the breakfast cooking and upkeep.

What makes this place special is the little stuff they do. Providing drinking water to refill our bottles (most places in Uganda make you pay for extra bottled water), loaning us Uganda currency on arrival to make a quick trip to the local ATM at Victoria Mall, washing and hanging some clothes for a small charge, and providing delivery from the Indian Restaurant Angan Entebbe (The Chicken Palak is incredible!) at the end of some busy days are just some of those extras they provide.

We stayed in every room they had (except the outside tents) and all were very spotless and a great value. We suggest "the Big room" if it is available.

As the title of this review suggest, don't overthink this one. Just book it! Thank you BlueMonkey and we will be back!

This is our family's go-to guesthouse for trips to Entebbe and one of the reasons why we actually visit Entebbe. Since the first time we stayed here, we knew The Blue Monkey was special. Not only is the property sparkling clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for late airport pickups and drop offs, but the view of Lake Victoria can't be beat. Its quiet and safe location is ideal for those wanting a place to rest and relax outside of the city. They even have a great library of books to choose from. Our kids love running around the garden and watching planes fly over the lake. The best part is the incredible hospitality by the owners. From the thoughtful touches in decoration, to lively conversation, to the delicious breakfast they provide, the owners really go out of their way to make you feel at home. There's nowhere else in Entebbe we would stay!

Lovely place in a quiet part of Entebbe. Andrea and her team are super friendly and do everything to make guests feel welcome. Beds are comfy, with good bednets, and everything is very clean. The terrace and the pretty garden have a view of Lake Victoria in the distance. There are small perks such as free drinking water and a book sale/ exchange. Breakfast was delicious and there is also the of ordering dinner from an Indian restaurant in town. For a small extra charge you can access the communal areas and a shower and continue to get free drinking water and wifi on the day of departure - which is great if you're catching one of the late flights out of Entebbe.

I was a solo female traveller and arrived in Entebbe around midnight. Blue Monkey staff were waiting for me at airport arrivals and I took me directly to guesthouse. The owner ( a lovely European lady) was waiting up for me and gave me a beer and tour of the guesthouse. I stayed in the safari tent which was beautiful. Wifi is free, and the guesthouse is in a locked compound with security at the gate. As someone who had never been to Uganda before and was travelling alone I felt very secure and looked after. Breakfast was ordered in advance - the owner made a special effort to accommodate to my vegan diet too. Lovely guesthouse, beautiful food (the lemongrass tea and fruit salad is divine)

I call Bluemonkey my new home because of the hospitality I got. From the time I checked in, the staff was super friendly and helpful, she made sure I had everything I needed in time. For someone who loves art and reading, I must say this is the place for you. It has variety of novels and informative history about Uganda , the environment is clean, beautiful room, my favorite part was waking up to birds calling in the morning and the amazing breakfast I had of bacon, eggs and coffee. I must say it was therapeutic 👌. Abbe the owner was also helpful with suggesting places for me to visit during my stay in entebbe. Thank you blue monkey for having me. I will definitely visit again.

BlueMonkey Guesthouse is a place I will continue to return to each time I am looking for an affordable, quiet & effortless getaway from the business and hecticness of Kampala. Andrea is a lovely, thoughtful host with incredible attention to detail and a passion for making her guests as comfortable as possible. The included breakfast is amazing—I love the homemade bread and WOW, their coffee machine is magic! The property is always in pristine condition, and bedrooms and facilities are cleaned regularly.

The location is super convenient for those arriving in Uganda or wanting a place to reset before continuing with a long journey. Andrea is also very knowledgeable and able to set you up with activities like a boat ride, birdwatching, or transport to other locations throughout Uganda. There is an extensive library with books in various languages, too! I always leave with a good book or two before heading back to Kampala. Also, important to note—there is always free water

Thank you to the lovely staff at BlueMonkey for another comfortable, peaceful stay. Will be back soon!

The beautiful garden setting, lake view and quiet location certainly makes Blue Monkey stand out. But it gets even better inside Andrea's home with is beautifully layed out and decorated. Andrea is a lovely host and has set a new standard for Entebbe guesthouses of which we have seen many. We really enjoyed an exceptional curry which was delivered and the photo of the breakfast speaks for itself. We will be back!

I choose the Blue Monkey due to it's location near to the ferry to Bugala Island (in Lake Victoria) as well as the responsiveness to my email questions and queries prior to travelling. The rooms, common areas and gardens are charming and comfortable. Every little detail was carefully and expertly attended to by my host, Andrea, from arranging a taxi to meet me at the airport, arranging meals and organising my PCR testing. The breakfast (included in the room rate) was wonderful. The wifi was good and reliable. The Blue Monkey also has a good and well priced wine list. My stay was very comfortable and stress free. During my visit to Uganda I stayed at the Blue Monkey twice. The Blue Monkey is my hotel of choice in Entebbe and I will visit again. Thank you to Andrea and all her team.

We stayed at the Blue monkey for 2 nights, one of us stayed in the tent, one in the room with private bathroom and one in the room with shared bathroom! All of us had very good night sleeps nothing to complain about. Rooms are exceptionally clean! I used the shared bathroom and it was spotless each and every time i used it!

Hospitality is incredible, everyone is very friendly and lovely, specially Andrea and the manager. Breakfast is very tasty and a massive portion! The passion fruit smoothie with the breakfast and the fruit salad is to die for!! If you have breakfast outside (which I highly recommend) you enjoy stunning views of lake Victoria and such a pretty green landscape!

We were welcome to stay and use the WiFi after checkout until we were picked up in the afternoon.

Great value for money, a very relaxed feel and feels just like home! I highly recommend it! Will definitely be coming back!
