Take GBP and then change it up into Turkish Lira when you are out there, most hotels, shops, bars will be happy to change your money up, you will most of the time get a better exchange rate out there, than you would if you was to exchange at the post office or other cash exchange places, alternatively, check the cash exchange at which ever airport you are flying from, they sometimes have good exchange rates, all you do is pre-book how much you want and then collect it from the airport. Hope this helps.
