As a solo traveller, I have picked more and more budget hotels since my wife passed away. This was my seventh trip to Turkey this year and all have been budget. My thoughts have always been, how often do I change my bed and towels back home. I made my own bed every morning and left nothing on surfaces apart from bathroom shelf. A notice in reception which no one could fail to sea stated It,s All yours, Just ask for It. I did. After 3 days I left 2 towels on the bathroom floor just as they do in Scandinavia. After 3 days i stripped the bed and folded the sheets. New Towels even though I had 4 and a freshly made bed. The surfaces were wiped the floor brushed and mopped and the beds moved to clean under. I asked for a bulb to be changed in the bathroom and within 20 minutes it was done. I know this because I was on the balcony chilling. No problem conversing with the owner or staff, I used my Translate on my phone. They do speak LIMITED ENGLISH. A smile and a soft approach works wonders. For £4-90 per night b&b I cant complain. Although no meat was served at breakfast, a cheap packet of salami from Migros made a change. The water park in front of the hotel was closed but was still noisy through the night with clubbers going home. Ignore the negative reviews about unable to shower because of no hot water. I showered every night, some warmer than others but depends on the solar panels. Typical minimum Turkish Breakfast. Suited me. But if you cant do without a full English you have to walk 100m and you can can get one for 13tl. Not for me though. Cant stand a full English. I would go back. Just needs some T.L.C.

My second stay here this year. Everyone knows its basic but the prices are basic too. Super friendly staff. My room was cleaned daily.
It was a quieter week than July so plenty sun beds.
Its make your own entertainment kinda pool area and I had many a good laugh.
I would definitely stay in October again. Personally for summer I prefer to have fridge in my room.
See you soon

This place is a lot less than it promises, the "air con" is just that a con, they want £35 a week which we reluctantly payed for, but then, when I asked for the remote to control it
an assistant was sent to my room with a box of remote controls none of which would work, I was then asked to climb on a stool remove the cover and press an on/off switch. Needless to say I cancelled the "air con". The room was made up twice during the week but the sheets and towels were not changed. The beach front does not exist, it is a Five Minute walk away. The one saving grace is that the staff who you deal with daily are all wonderful. Unfortunately the "management" less so. Also directly across the street there is a "Water Park", luckily we were there at the tail end of the season so it was quiet, but I dread to think what it might be like in high season.

The blue port shopping centre is around 5 mind walk, I am shocked at the other review we found melodi to have much higher standards than the four star all inclusive hotel we had stayed in a few weeks before. We loved melodi... More
