Myself and my daughter stayed here in July 2019, coming to Kusadasi for years have to say this was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in, lovely rooms great pool, food was brillant we used restaurants in town some nights but great to have that option, the staff were exceptional made us feel very welcome Nediet Bitirim on reception very helpful. Have just booked again for longer with my husband this May so thats says it all CAN'T WAIT!!!!
I stayed in this hotel about 8 times in the past when it was self catering and thought it was an excellent place to stay. Seven years since I last stayed it is now of course half board. When we arrived in the early hours of the morning we were given a dried up sandwich as we had missed the evening meal (inedible). The room was on the corner overlooking another hotel pool - I had paid £120 extra for a pool view view (Paloma Rina pool). The room was tiny. I knew the rooms we had stayed in previous years were quite substantial. We got one sheet that would not cover us both (we are not LARGE). The air conditioning did not work and the fan was noisy. Also the patio door did not lock. After not being able to sleep we got up first thing and went to Reception and demanded another room, which was like we had stayed in before. We were moved, The food was not good and if you were a non smoker you had to use one corner of the outside balcony and at the far end there was no lighting or view. Music around the pool was annoying, especially for the older guests, which basically everyone was. What was once a lovely garden with sun beds in the shade is now a forest and blocks the view from most room with the pool view (at the additional cost). Then to top it all I got food poisoning. Had eaten the same as my husband all day, apart from an aubergine and tomato sauce. I think the food is reheated and put back out in an already hot room. I have not been sick like that for 40 years! So, after reading this make your own mind up!…
I have read some sniffy reviews about this hotel but my recent 3 night stay was excellent. The room was lovely with separate sitting room and private balcony. The location is good, the food was varied and tasty, the service good and the staff pleasant. Although right at the end of the season everything was maintained to a high level including the swimming pool area. I would stay here again.
This hotel is a strange one. It has the potential to be a great hotel, but something about it just doesn't hit the mark. Lets start with the positives. The location next to the marina is great, and with only a 10 minute walk into town, it's a great place to locate yourself. The rooms are great. They are nicely sized, clean, comfortable and are considerably better than some of the more higher priced hotels in the town. The pool is sized nicely enough and there were always sun beds available. Sadly that for me is where it ends. The food. Breakfast was ok, there was a nice selection for breakfast, dinner was a let down. The food was generally bland and in often cases kept luke warm by sitting them in water baths. this meant it was soggy and not all that enjoyable. We ate one evening meal then continued to eat out. The entertainment was more or less non existent. We arrived about 30 minutes after the evening entertainment was due to start and it was already finished. The entertainment consisted of dance music (one day even wall to wall rap music) from about 9am until 2am (even if there was no one at the bar or the pool). I'm not old by any means, but it was loud and non stop. Not relaxing at all and after a while you just want to get out of the hotel. What got me the most and really put a downer on our holiday was when we arrived. We went to check in and were told that we had to pay a deposit of 50 Euro/Pounds or 100 TL. This was expected in cash. Normally hotels will take a deposit or will debit a card which allows you to pay to your room. Being asked to stump up cash is a new one for me, there was no mention of this when booking. Secondly, we were told we were not allowed to take any food or drinks of any kind back to the room from outside, this included water. Now i appreciate not bringing food into a half board hotel, but not being able to bring water or own drinks in? the excuse was "we sell it all in the hotel". This is true, but the water only came in small bottles and was vastly overpriced when compared to the market opposite, as was the limited alcohol choice. Sometimes you just want to sit in your room with a glass of wine.. I've already paid £600+ Ultimately, as tidy and as clean as the hotel was, the noise, the food and not having any freedom to bring your own drinks/snacks back to the room just made it so we didn't want to be in the hotel a lot of the time. I've stayed in a number of hotels and know the town well. This hotel could be really good. It just isn't.…
Booked through Thomas Cook. After booking the all inclusive was changed to half board and we were given the choice to change if we wanted, but decided to go ahead. Arrived at hotel and shown to room, accommodation was good, rooms nice and clean and tea and coffee and kettle available and replenished each day. Air conditioning worked well. One side light not working, fan in bedroom not working, did report but not fixed. However, when the lock failed on our room they were very quick to repair. Swimming pool was not as big as appeared in brochure but we arrived on 3rd September and hotel not so busy, so no problems with sun beds. The hotel is adult only so seemed to attract an average age of 50 plus, although some younger and some older. Managed to get a sunbed each day, although the usual suspects were down there early with their towels! There were a few downsides to our stay at this hotel unfortunately and this was mainly down to the food and customer service. The hotel does not provide a five star service, more 2 to 3 star; this was a shame, as we feel we paid five star prices. - The hotel played booming base music from early till late, so while you were trying to sunbathe you ended up listening to awful, loud, vibrating house type music, when asked to turn this down it had no difference at all. Sometimes I had to just leave and go to my room as I just couldnt stand it. Given the age group sitting around the pool, it was just unbelievable why they thought it was appropriate music. We were not the only ones to find it distressing. I note that there are similar reviews to this, so it must have been going on for some while and not been addressed by the hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 3pm in the afternoon, I hadn't eaten since 3am in the morning, thinking I would avoid plane food and eat at the hotel as I was aware there was a coffee and cake shop. Well, the whole time we were there, the cafe was without staff, there were no cakes. When I asked the hotel if they had any food I could buy, they had no menu and could only offer me a small free pot of nuts!! What!! I never did see any food menus, or food available in the day. And to be fair, if there had been any, you would have been eating it right next to the booming speaker that was placed just by the bar. Breakfast was ok and had all the usual choices, different types of coffee available from a machine although we would often have the chase staff to unblock it, refill it or empty drip tray. On one occasion with no staff whatsover anywhere, myself and another lady went and emptied the drip tray ourselves so we could have a coffee. Evening meal consisted of alot of cold meze that got very repetitive, with a small selection of poor and luke warm foods. For example, cooked white pasta in one pot and a red tomato sauce in another. Chicken nugget, potato croquettes, dry small burger things - just not nice. Having been to Turkey on many many occasions and stayed at different hotels each time, I have always been impressed with the lovely Turkish food, we were not impressed with this! In fact, we gave up after three days and ate out for the rest of our holiday. The hotel has a strict policy about having any food and drink in your rooms or anywhere else. I understand this to an extent, but we got told off for bring in water!! surely only that should be allowed. That morning we were going on a trip at 9am and I tried to ask to buy water from the bar and was told they were not open until 10am so I couldn't. So be prepared to have to purchase all your water from the hotel, or else! We struggled with confirming our transport home as the receptionist spoke very little English, and couldn't understand us at all. She finally phoned someone who tried to translate for her but it resulted in her telling us that our pickup from the hotel would be arriving at 5pm in the evening even though are flight was at midday, we gave up! When we booked out there was no, I hoped you enjoyed your holiday, have a good flight. So generally customer service, lack of available daytime food, flat tonic at the bar, loud music was a bit of a downer for us four. I want to add that we are well travelled, happy to stay at three star, love Turkey, love Turkish food. just disappointed with this hotel, wouldnt recommend it. We were not the only ones who had very similar complaints…
