We have stayed at Kismet several times over the last few years. It's tucked away from hustle & bustle but in walking distance to the city. When you arrive it's like driving into a private estate! The views are stunning, the rooms are lovely & spacious. The grounds are beautiful one side overlooks the marina & has a gorgeous outdoor bar & seafood restaurant, the other side overlooks the Aegean with a private beach. It's a hidden Gem!!
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Great view to the sea but very old rooms. There was no internet in the room. Nothing was working properly in the bathroom, breakfast was just okay. But, to enjoy that great view i may go back.
A hotel which takes you back in history. If slightly faded grandeur is your thing, then this is the place for you. Rooms are OK, everything works, facilities are sufficient. Very friendly staff and fantastic views.
We have stayed here many times over the past twenty years. It’s sad to see that the hotel is more than ready for refurbishment. The more pricey rooms are very spacious with balconies and still ok. But cheaper ones really show the passage of time. No room service. Dinner available .
For those of us who are Game of Thrones freaks, Heartsbane is known to us as a great-sword that has been in the same family for many generations. I don't know why the sword served to be a bane, but it sure had invoked feelings for people. Kismet Hotel is a special place - an ancient gem that has passed on from generation to generation. And this place invokes feelings as one basks in the glamorous history of literally, royalty. It makes one remember why old James Bond movies with chris-crafts, palaces and ball rooms were so cool and magical. It makes one realize that there was a time when people actually lived like Great Gatsby, and maybe we lost the touch and things have become boring, complacent, standardized, and lacking of soul. One can't help but think our new way of living turned princes, kings, legends and icons into hash tags lost. Kismet is not 4 seasons and that is not the value proposition or the reason for the 5 stars - although accommodations are great, we had a beautiful suite overlooking the water. We watched the sunset at the bar with a calm breeze on our faces, had great breakfast on the lawn overlooking the bay, swam by the rocks, ate house-innovated Kismet Kebab, enjoyed the views and had fantastic seafood by the restaurant on premise and absorbed the soul of this gem. There were few places that spoke to us through out all our adventures with my wife, and Kismet is one of them. It is hard to explain, I highly recommend experiencing it. One thing is for sure, we won't forget the Heartsbane!…
