From hotel you can walk around max 5 min to the main road, where are shoos and restaurants, easy you can stop “dolmus” and go to historical part of Side or near to LC Waikiki where you will find lots of shops and restaurants with good food and prices. Or you can go visit Manavgat city as well. This hotel I can recommend :)
Struggling to see why it is only a 2 star, rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh towels every second day, poolside towels provided, aircon worked as it should, kettle provided with coffee and tea, mini bar stocked with soft drinks and beer, with room in the fridge for your own food/drink.
I would compare the quality of the room to that of a premier inn, or even slightly better, you know what you are getting, the pictures on their site are as accurate as you will get.
Staff all extremely friendly and helpful.
The only complaint I would have is the breakfast feels a bit mixed up, chicken nuggets, chips, onion rings seem wrong to me, don’t get me wrong there was plenty there to eat and over 30 items so if you could not find something to eat you are being over picky.
All in all an absolute bargain at 2 star prices and I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Last point, the walk is not ann issue, 15 mins to the old town, you can do the beach in 10 and there are plenty shops, restaurants all within 10 mins walking time.
Nice pool area which is kept immaculately clean and has a bar with a limited daytime snack menu.
There's not much of a Turkish feel and anything extra is very expensive. We were quoted 45 euros a day for car hire against 30 euros locally, and 40 euros for a 4:30pm check out. Inflated euro pricing is the norm in Side which is dominated by all inclusive hotels and could be anywhere in Europe. The enthusiastic DJ's output is similarly ubiquitous.
Location wise it is on the outskirts of the resort. There's a strip of restaurants and shops within 5 mins which you'll need because the hotel doesn't do food in the evening.
There's a "free bus to the beach" which dumps you in an expensive beach bar about 2km further west of Side.
.. the views arnt good... but we don't go away to sit in the room... if that's something you like.....maybe this isnt for you.
Breakfast was pretty poor... as it generally is in most hotels... basically cheese ham bread and fruit... the chef is occasionally there to make omelettes from time to time... 24hr reception/ free water in the minibars... maids daily... its a lovely clean hotel... definitely worth visiting if you don't like the huge all inclusive airport style hotels.... nothing negative to report from.our point of view.... frequent visitors to Turkey... never to this part though. The old town is beautiful and worth a visit day and night. You can get he bus on the main road.
Or make your way to the promenade on the sea front... its a steady 45 min walk.
We weren't overly impressed with side as a resort... it just seemed huge and a bit soulless to us... but everyone is different.
As others have stated. There is a free bus to the beach club the hotel uses... the beds and parasols are free... and there's lots of them... the drinks are slightly more expensive than in resort... but you're getting free beds and parasols. So its worth it.. . If you want to book trips / massage etc. Look for George next to the celik supermarket on the maid road.
Really good guy... no trying to get money out of you for stuff you don't want or need.... A hotel and its staff 4.5 /5 for us.... side resort3/5... we have given an honest... balanced and truthful review.
We hope this helps anyone pondering staying at the Ahitel side.
Highly recommend Goodies bar and Restaurant, fantastic food at rediculously low price, owner very attentive of your needs, but also quite cheeky in the nicest possible way.
Also Adams bar and grill just across the road from Goodies is worth a visit if you like a bit of sport on TV, recommend trying Diesel from the bar there, it's a German alcoholic shandy with a difference and quite moorish.
All in all can't fault anything in the area. Free bus rides to and from the private beach everyday if you so wish.
By the way the hotel is pronounced "Ah" Hotel

"The bar area was always very quiet in the evening maybe due to the overpricing of drinks. Be aware of what you are being charged for drinks."Read full review
