Travellers' Choice
La Badira, member of the Leading Hotels of the World, recounts Hammamet's illustrious past, since Paul Klee's trip to Tunisia in 1914, followed by dozens of artists, such as André Gide, Arletty, Oscar Wilde, Jean Cocteau and Sophia Loren. All came to Hammamet in search of the rare quality of its light. La Badira has 130 suites of 45m² to 160m2, five restaurants combining tradition and innovation, and the only Spa by CLARINS in the country. Intimate spaces have been created in and around the hotel with a library, an indoor fireplace, La Badira cocktail bar, and jasmine and bitter orange scented lawns. The shop, dedicated to local craftsmanship, illustrates the authenticity and charm of Tunisia. Like travelers, writers and adventurers of the last century, guests feel at home and with friends. La Badira represents all the charm of yesteryear revisited with a modern approach, a place where regular visitors and newcomers can mingle with simplicity, elegance and discretion.

me and my fiancee lives abroad but when it's time to go home we decided to visit the family and then enjoy the rest of the vacation in a sweet hotel like la badira no need to worry about covid here much restrictions and everyone are careful the hotel has it's own charm even though it's not that big but it's unique calm and very quiet at first we tried to contact the reservation by phone but the line was busy all day long so we went straight to the hotel to book directly through the reception that's when we met our young cute little savior salim who did everything he could to see us satisfied we paid a visit together to some nice type of rooms but we fell in love with the one with the bathtub with sea view! unfortunately we had to change the room the next day since it was freaking hot with no ac! Not only that but salim offred us a discount for staying more than one night! we did not ask for it but how sweet of him or else we'd leave the hotel! instead we extended for a week the pool outside is just wow but the indoor pool at the spa wasn't warm enough in the evening that's a turn off but we were informed that it's not heated during that time which is bizarre since it's not summer yet? also the ac wasn't working what a big shame we had a rough night the food is disappointing at both restaurants since it's kinda expensive and not tasty enough and you're never full of only one plate you have to order more (opportunistic) the breakfast is ok no variety just the usual same stuff like in every hotel buffet room service has a huge problem with their phone not working and it's very annoying that you have to call the reception every time and keep on waiting for them to call you back to take your order imo that should be fixed asap btw we were asked to pay 50 dinars for a bucket of ice? what a joke! we must order a drink to get it free of charge? ridiculous since we order every day and that definitely need to be changed houssem the housekeeper is mannered well polite and hardworking heads up keep up the good work the waiters of the restaurants and the bar are not that professional if you ask me they seem new and not knowing what's going on around them and they have to go ask their colleagues for the tiniest detail back to our good looking blond savior at the reception the one who magically anticipated our demands by choosing where to have dinner outside (cuz we won't dine at the hotel again) then where we could party a little and calling us a cab to pick us up and bring us back in time to the hotel i should be rating less stars due to the fact that we were not really enjoying most of the time but no worries every place and experience has ups and downs thanks to everyone who made our stay enjoyable xo

Hotel grounds are nice. Food is excellent. Staff is in need of customer service training, definitely not 5 star type of service, from the reception to the guy responsible for horseback riding to hotel maintenance. Seemed overpriced compared to other 5 star hotels in Greece, Italy or Spain, especially when the hotel was not fully booked.
