The good: The room was clean, shower, toilet, sink, floors, bedding all clean. Lots of towels and they put new ones outside your door every morning. The shower was great with great pressure Right in the heart of A-bay so we did not have to drive anywhere all weekend. 3-5 min walk to boat tour depending on how fast you walk. The bad: Very cozy/intimate (TINY) room like being in a pop up camper. No shot the rooms are updated as advertised. A new floor is not "remodeled" or "updated", that is called crap you have to do lol. Everything in the room is old/outdated. So unless they found new old stock, nothing besides floor is new. No coffee in room but they do put a cart out by the office, no breakfeast. The tv is kinda small and reception sucks. The ugly, The room stunk once we turned on the a/c ( we took air vent clips out of truck to put in ac unit lol) they need to hire a company to clean the units they are gross. The bed is absolutly horrible. If you are over 25 and have any kind of body issues you are gonna be hating life! Woke up at 5am to pee and wife said when do you wanna leave? I said 20min? We where gone by 7am. Kinda noisy due to poor insulation and there are bars with in a baseball throw of the motel. That being said, if your not a drunkerd or come from a family of drunks, the other guests may just annoy the pi$$ out of you In closing, 21 and looking for a place to stumble back to?? Great place cause you wont know the bed sucks cuz chances are you'll be on the bathroom floor barking at the porcelain god. Looking to spend the day and stay 1 night? Its a great place. Looking to stay more than 1 night??? Pay for parking and sleep in your car.

I rarely write a poor review and hesitate to write this one because it was a place for us to stay while visiting the amazing Thousand Islands on what we were to discover was a very over crowded, loud, and a bit unruly Pirates Week. The check in office seemed very concerned about mask wearing in their little cramped space which I get - but there were CROWDS of people on the sidewalk, upper story balcony and the parking lot with corn hole games, tables of food, coolers, etc. There was no concern for the people checking in, carry their luggage to their rooms, returning in the evening for sleeping. If this motel was recently updated they must have skipped the room we stayed in. NO SMOKING signs everywhere but there was the odor of cigarette smoke everywhere - even in the small check in office. The wifi signal was so poor that it was impossible to do anything on a mobile device. One positive comment - The location is good. Sorry Ship Motel but you need to get Ship Shape.

This motel is basically a glorified dive. It defies comprehension how it can have a 4 rating. Amd there is absolutely no evidence that it was renovated a few years ago: the sink had a crack and cigarette burns for example. The highlights only list is long, you've been forewarned. But to start it off, we were confirmed a king-sized room for three nights on booking.com, but told shortly afterwards by phone we could get a king-sized room, just not the same one for all nights! Since we were hours from arrival and had no other choice, we took what turned out to be not a real queen-sized bed in a tiny room. No apology, no consolation prize. No place to put your things , poor quality TV, paper thin walls-you can hear running water, wafer thin bars of mini soap, threadbare towels. The AC couldn't really eliminate the humidity or the musty smell. Quiet time was not enforced, well after midnight. The only positive feature is that the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the coffee provided outside the office is surprisingly good (only a fridge in the room). The location is good but not worth it in such a small village. Avoid.

Due to mobility issues, I requested a ground floor room when I made the reservation. Upon check-in, I learned all the ground floor rooms had already been booked for that night. Staff members carried our bags to the second floor room. We were promised a ground floor room for our second night. The room was small, but clean and adequate. In the morning delicious coffee was served from a cart outside the office. The staff carried our bags down the stairs and loaded them into our car. When we returned at the end of the day, we were handed the key to a ground floor room. The service here was wonderful and greatly appreciated.

Our stay was Very good. Location was excellent. Never moved my car the entire 4 days during our stay. Walk to the Uncle Sam ferries, restaurants and shops. The room was comfortable and clean. Coffee is available outside of Office. Nothing to complain about. July 2021.
