The room is great. However, I have been given unclear information for beach access from security staff. The staff has talked with stiff voice, so I still did not understand to allow shoes or not or wash it after or whatever?? Please make it clear for instruction to access the beach.
It was not our first time here, but the annoying things here have not changed: chaotic situations at check-in on Friday, same chaos when checking out on Sunday. No fast lane for Marriott Bonvoy members. They wanted to do us a favor and give us an “upgrade”: The room was extremely small and had a connecting door to a suite from which we heard every single cough and word. Considering this constant noise, it was hard to fall asleep. The “upgrade” advantage was the sea view through a small balcony door… we asked to change the room and got the actually booked standard room which was at least a bit larger and sound-proof! For us it was hard to understand why they gave such a lousy room for the first night… What I do not appreciate neither is an eye-rolling chef when you do not follow his advise… that happened in the restaurant Amber where you have to queue for breakfast in the mornings because there is obviously not enough staff to clean and prepare the tables… There is no ice water at the pool-side. So when I came back from a run on the beach it took me several minutes to get some plain water. Before Covid you still got free drinking water at the pool. And of course you get water at Marriott Phuket, Khao Lak or even Renaissnace Pattaya… so really strange why you do not get it here. Lack of staff at the end of our stay again: Finally we carried the luggage ourselves through the heavy rain as we would have had to wait up to 40min (!!!h for some helpers. All in all a bit disappointing, no sense for important details, sometimes lack of good attitude of the staff (especially chef in Amber and at frontdesk). A big compliment to the chef and staff in “The big fish” - we had a really great evening. As you will certainly answer to this comment, one question: Why were we not offered valet-parking? As we found out during our stay, this was offered to almost everybody. Last summary: Considering that you are going there for a weekend driving back and forth 3h to Bangkok, one would expect a higher level of service and better attitude towards the guests.…
Service excellent/ comfortable room and bed / swimming pool is great / delicious food / nice sea view/ spa and gym perfect and hope to have a chance to revisit again soon. Happy stay and Wonderful at Marriott
After 3 years we again in Thailand, the same destination (Hua Hin), the same hotel (Marriott Resort). The winning horse does not need to be changed. High level, beautiful environment, good location, top service, nice staff, excellent cuisine, reasonable price. What more is needed?
I'm returning here after quite a long time. The service has improved in terms that it's much faster and more attentive. Check in was a breeze and we got the room right away. The property is well maintained and is still one of the most beautiful hotels in Hua Hin. The room is spacious and well-designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There's a lovely surprise waiting in my room as a Silver Bonvoy member. I did not have breakfast at Amber this time but at Siam Bakery instead and it's very nice. The beach is the best with white sand and I found a great local restaurant to the right in walking distance with fresh seafood. We'll definately come back and recommend everyone looking for a perfect getaway to stay here. If there's one area the resort can improve, it would be the lack of working spaces in public area as I love working on my labtop by the beach or swimming pool. …
