This was one of the highlights of our trip to Northern Thailand. We were picked up by Nok in Chiang Rai and brought up to the Bamboo nest. Nok is highly organised, all emails and communications were answered efficiently. It is a little over an hours drive to the Bamboo nest and very steep as we got nearer. Our bamboo hut was fab. What a wonderful view out over the rice fields, hills, mountains. We had a lovely sitting area where we could chlll in the hammock. Room is great and we had wonderful sleeps as there is so much air coming in to the room. Breakfast is great. There was a fabulous lady called Nong who was there while we were there and doing the cooking. She is such a wonderful cook. For dinner, she served a variety of dishes - all so tasty. It is very sociable as you can chat to other people who are staying there, in the evening time. During the day, you can go on long walks yourself or there is an option for Noi, who is also involved in the business to bring you on treks. We loved the fact that independently, you can head off and walk for hours to the local hot springs, waterfalls, Akha and Shane villages. It is a great spot to relax, chill out, get away from it all and enjoy some time. We stayed 5 nights. It is great value and I would highly recommend a stay here. You really should stay longer than one night to get the real feeling. I am not surprised the reviews are so good.

Staying at Bamboo Nest was a trip highlight. Beautiful private hilltop location, great veiws, wonderful hiking to waterfalls, to hilltribe villages, and to remote farms and orchards high in the hills of rural Chiang Rai. Nok is an amazingly energetic, creative, and kind person who was helpful to me in getting to know Chiang Rai province in many ways. She'll have a new, riverside resort in a year and it will also be small, simple, and lovely. I cannot say enough. I'll be back.

This was a very different experience from your standard hotel. This rustic home was built by the hostess Nok and her partner and has a lot of character. If you book the package with breakfast and dinner, every evening Nok cooks dinner with you. It's your own personal cooking class, almost everything from her garden or her neighbour's garden, and we cooked 3 dishes each night So delicious, and did we eat well. Nok was a delightful host, very knowledgeable about the local nature and culture, and very well-spoken.. We also arranged for her to guide us on a one-day trek to some waterfalls and some mountain villages, which I would recommend. Currently she can only accommodate two guests, in the one room, so you have her undivided attention.

We spent 5 nights in the Bamboo Nest and it was worth every minute we spent there. In this peaceful and laid back environment you can walk the hills and rice fields to local villages, climb up to a waterfall and enjoy a refreshing hot spring and massage all within striking distance of the the Bamboo Nest. Comfortable accommodation, good food and welcoming atmosphere make this a must for anyone wishing to “get away” for a few days.

Bamboo Next has relocated from it's distant mountain location to an eco village an easy trip from Chiang Rai. Lovely hosts Nok and Na give you personal welcome and care in this eco lodge built from recycled and repurposed materials. Conscous tourism. Loved our stay.

We stayed with Nok and Na for three days, and we wished we could have stayed much, much longer! It was simply amazing. We felt completely at home, Nok tought us how to cook the most delicious thai meals, they both took us on trips to nearby waterfalls and villages - it was a magical stay that we will never forget. Hope to be back one day. Thank you so much 🙏🏼 Big hugs from Arthur (13), Thomas and Helena

We spent a driving day together with Mr. Sunny Asia, after inquiring at the Bamboo Nest city office about tours. Our focus was textiles and scenery, so he designed a day that included exactly what we wanted. We saw a large linen weaving center, and ended with a beautiful small Thai Lua weaving studio run by a master weaver. Along the way we saw coffee growing along the Myanmar border, a rice straw mushroom plantation, temples, and the Golden Triangle. A full day, for sure. He is a fantastic guide, willing and able to answer endless questions and facilitate incredibly memorable experiences. Thank you so much, Sunny.

A beautiful place to stay to escape the busy cities of Northern Thailand. Bamboo Nest is now situated in an eco-village just a short trip from Chiang Rai. The village is incredibly friendly and welcoming! The house has been built from upcycled materials and is very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the open air porch in the hammocks reading our books and birdwatching. Three peaceful days at Bamboo Nest has recharged our batteries. Cooking with Nok in the evenings was really fun and we learned a lot! Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The two cats are very sweet and love treats! Hopefully we will be back to visit another time!

We had a really great and wonderful stay in bamboo nest. The place is peaceful and beautiful (the house and the landscape). Nok and Nha are so nice and welcoming. They took care of us and then helped us to planify our next step. Nok is such a great cooker, everything was homemade and really delicious. We went on a day trek with Nok and really enjoyed our day. Nok knows a lot of things and shared it with us, it was really interesting. Nha was also really considerate of us.

Yes, you can When I visited in 2017 I paid by cash. They prefer cash. Making a credit card payment via a unsecured sight is dangerous because your credit card details become accessible to hackers who can steal your credit card details and other valuable data. It happened to me on another sight but lucky for me I spotted it before they could take out any money from my account. You will have to change passwords, credit card details etc. The sight you book from must be HTTPS and not HTTP HTTPS Stands for secure as one can see the added 'S' at the end of the HTTP. ask Nok if you can in cash. Hope this helps.
