I did a lot of research before our booking and we were both very happy with the hotel. The photos really don't do it justice.

Hotel is on a slope and we asked for a ground floor room which was ideal. Everything on the ground level was compact and it was only short steps to the restaurant, beach, pool etc once there. Even a room slightly higher up would have been fine but this made it so much easier with my walking problems.

(If you have mobility problems there is an alternative route to the top along the side and we were even spoiled with a golf car to take us up and down when I couldn't manage and was embarrassed. Thank you)

We loved the room which was just their basic one. Had everything we needed and the bathroom in particular was a delight with both a bath and a great shower. So many newer hotels are economising and have lost the special Thailand feeling (which this one hasn't).

Bed was especially comfortable and we were very well looked after with a nightly turn down service which picked up the used beach towel and lit a night light to ward off the insects. The level of care and service really showed.

The beach was superb and there was lots of space. The hotel is built along a stretch of the beach which is shared with other hotels but it is lightly used and we felt so happy with a peaceful beach.

Sun loungers are solidly built and very comfortable. There were plenty when we were there and although the hotel became full it didn't feel like that. There is a law I think about sun loungers direct on public beaches now but we were so close it didn't matter.

So glad we went to Khao Lak rather than our normal Phuket which has become so overbuilt.

Great beach bar next door for lunch and massages available there. Great hotel breakfast (one of the best for me I have seen) and we enjoyed our hotel dinner close to the sea each night. Cocktails very nice and prices reasonable.

This hotel is ideal if you want a quiet relaxed break and without the size, crowds, noise and hassles of the bigger resorts but with a level of luxury and care.

Other guests were many european couples and there were a few children but well behaved.

Final word to the staff who excelled from the initial booking to our departure. Thank you so much. We can't wait to come back to this special place. .

We booked 8 nights which included my birthday celebration.
From the moment we arrived the ambience took over.
We had booked into a "Rainforest Villa", room 1108 which was stunning. After unpacking we walked through the resort to the beach. The walk made us realise that our room involved a fair bit of climbing and was not conducive to my wife's arthritic knee. After talking with the very helpful and understanding reception staff we negotiated alternative rooms. We had 4 nights in room 102 beach front villa, 1 night in 105 garden villa and then 3 nights in 101 beach front villa. We were happy to move rooms as it was entirely our choice. All the rooms were lovely especially the beach front villas. All the staff got to know you, the joys of a 30 room hotel. Breakfast was as much as you could want. Dinner was eaten in the open air on the beach - just spray your feet to avoid the mosquitoes. The pool was lovely but obviously as the day progressed the water got warmer. The beach and sea was lovely. With no watersports anywhere on the beach you can swim and float in the water with no concerns. You can walk approximately 400 metres to the right to the end of the beach or to the left you can go much further. I walked the 1500 metres to the lighthouse but is is possible to go much further.
The only negatives we had were the sun loungers. Firstly the cushions are very thin and would benefit thicker ones for more comfort. The second issue is sun loungers "being booked" as early as 05:15hrs which is an hour before the staff open the beach umbrellas.
We have been to numerous places around the world and this is the first place we wish to return to - we reserved our room for next year prior to leaving and now just need to book our flights to return to this aptly named "ParadiseResort".

Beautiful small hotel in great position, steps down from airy reception through tropical gardens to the rooms. Most rooms are in blocks of four dotted around the gardens ours was near the pool and restaurant which was great.
Big bright clean room and good bathroom with bath and shower, great balcony.
Loads of staff around at all times in the bar and restaurant, breakfast was great loads of choice and eggs, pancakes etc cooked to order. Fab position breakfast almost on the beach with sea views.
We had a few evening meals in the restaurant which is actually situated on the beach stunning service, food and situation.
You can walk down a decent roadside path into Khao Lak town in about 20 mins for loads of restaurants or get a taxi very cheaply.
Beach great for walk too, it goes on for miles.

Great hotel, great surroundings, fantastic staff.
Food was good and served on the beach in the evening , breakfast overlooking the sea.
One down side is there a lot of steps to get from the lobby to all rooms. Not a problem for me but others less able should check.
Hotel is about a 20 min stroll down into town or a quick tuk tuk, or open taxi 100 to 150 bhats (40 /ÂŁGBP)

Beautiful tropical gardens and a lovely beach location. We stayed in a Villa Side Seaview room (104) which was huge, nicely appointed, spotless, and steps away from the pool and beach. But, holidays are won or lost by the human experience and it is here where Paradise stood out. Huge compliments to the entire staff. They were exceptionally friendly and provided a high level of service.

We did experience significant internet connectivity issues during our stay. Sornkanok, the manager, got their service provider out to the hotel, and eventually, our internet connection improved. Understanding that the hotel did not deliver an important service to a reasonable standard, Sornkanok offered to provide our rooms free of charge. She could have rightfully shifted the blame (but didn't) to the service provider. This was an enormously generous offer considering Thailand is just emerging from its covid tourism nightmare. We did agree to a reduced rate reasonable for the inconvenience.

I highly recommend you consider a stay at the paradise. It's the people that make the difference.

Nearing the end of a 10 night stay. It is a pinch me am I really here place.
There are only 36 rooms set in thatched roof blocks of four (2up 2 down) leading on to a soft sandy beach which northwards stretches some distance. The hotel is set on a hillside spilling down from the road, but is not a difficult climb.
Rooms are comfortable with all usual amenities and wonderful views over the jungle down to the beach. The restaurant and bar are beachfront and feet in the sand dining is a delight at mealtimes.
Pool is next to the bar, behind the beach and often we would have it to ourselves apart from a gecko which sometimes came in for an afternoon swim.
At all times at the pool and beach there are always plenty of loungers even right on the beach front.
Breakfast is included and you would have to be very picky not to find something to suit, from the ubiquitous egg station, cereals, pastries, fruit to various oriental delights.
There is a beach bar next door and we went there occasionally for a drink. We fully expected to eat out more but the dining options at the hotel were so good and the most reasonably priced we have seen in many Thai hotel stays. For a snack and drinks at lunch for two we paid around ÂŁ10, and for dinner with drinks at night about ÂŁ20-ÂŁ25. I am writing this during half price happy hour(4-5p.m.) with large beer, g&t, wine or cocktail between ÂŁ2-ÂŁ3 each! Better get another round in.
Two to three times a week they do a beach bbq type event, with live music and a choice of dishes served with bread, salad, soups. Again great value for money and you are unlikely to go hungry.
All the staff are a delight and could not be more helpful and after a day seem to know your room no. and food and beverage likes.
As you can gather I am total convert and the place is synonymous with its name. I want to return next year so please don’t rush to book so that we can get in.

This is a small, extreme friendly, full of character, beautiful hotel. Built up a steep hillside in dense rain forest, this isn’t all about a panoramic view from every room, it’s about atmosphere. Our room was a large villa suite up the hill and we couldn’t see the sea (though we faced it), but we were high in trees and it was a sanctuary. To keep the tropical vegetation as it is, not clear it to make space, is a choice the owners clearly made, and is a great one. The walk back to the room each night through the gorgeously lit forest, across raised bridges and walkways, was a highlight.
Down at sea level it IS about view. There is a large pool, bar and restaurant, with a pond too. Orchids in trees.
Lots of sunbeds, both on beach and by pool. This is the nicest stretch of the whole beach - uninterrupted sand whereas it gets rocky further along. The sea is perfect for swimming.
Breakfasts are great, lots of choice, and evening meals are good too, served at tables on the beach. We actually had many meals next door at the Bamboo beach restaurant, which served (among other things) AMAZING Thai curries.
Staff are so friendly in the hotel. Happy hour is a treat.
The shops and more bars are a 10 minute walk along the road. Good supermarket. Cut left (at the supermarket) to access the beach and walk back that way.
A superb 5 night stay to end two weeks in Thailand. Highly recommend.

Booked the Paradise resort rather than the other, much larger resorts in the area - definitely the right decision.
Accomodation and airport transfers were booked directly with the hotel - all communications were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived - the staff cannot be faulted.
The decoration they put on our bed to celebrate our wedding anniversary was absolutely lovely.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, (air conditioning very effective).
The food in the restaurant was very good and the service always efficient.
The beach and swimming pool are great with plenty of sun loungers.
The location was perfect; walkable distance to local shops and restaurants or short taxi trip to markets, etc.
The only thing I would change is to have recliners rather than chairs on the balcony.

I spent a few days at this lovely hotel in December. 1 night in a Deluxe Room on the hill, 2 nights in Villa Nr. 4 and 7 nights in Villa Nr. 5.
The villas are definitely the place to stay – big, bright and nicely furnished. They are close to the pool, beach and restaurant. I preferred villa 5, as the air conditioner faces away from the bed. You have a coffee maker and a tea kettle and a free minibar which has a couple of things in it.
The staff at the hotel are all really nice and welcoming and always have a smile on their faces.
The pool is nice and big, there were always loungers available.
The beach is ok, not the white sand beach with clear water, but you can easily swim in the ocean and walk a long way along the beach, especially during low tide. There you can see the other properties along the beach and Paradise Resort was definitely the nicest. It is so nicely located in a tropical setting with a lush garden and lily pond.
Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. Thank you for offering other fruits apart from water melon and pineapple, namely mangoes or passion fruit. The coffee is made to order and the cappuccinos are delicious. The other food for lunch or dinner (same menu) is also good. They did have some difficulty keeping food warm at the BBQ on the beach on Mondays – it was all cold (kebab and veggies), and at the Christmas dinner (Turkey and all veggies were cold).
I had 2 massages, which were very nice.
The prices for all services - laundry (no same day service), food, massages- are really low, almost cheap compared to other places I have travelled.
I would highly recommend this hotel, I had a wonderful, relaxing time.

A very special place. As soon as we arrived we felt that we were truly in paradise. We had a beautiful pool side villa with a lovely terrace with views onto the garden which was perfectly maintained. It was a stunning beach location. Very intimate atmosphere with only a few guests and very attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant had good food and was lovely to sit on the beach at night and eat. It was very easy to get into town with a 5 minute taxi ride that could be organised by the hotel. All in all a wonderful stay
