We asked for a quiet room and we’re given chalet 229 We had a partial sea view from the balcony and could hear the sound of the waves at night. The chalet shares a small pool 4 other chalets and was peaceful during the day. It was a joy to watch the kingfishers in the trees and a monitor lizard wandered past on its way to the beach. The beach is shared with a number of other hotels all of whom try to clean up the flotsam that comes ashore. The waves are strong here. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is good however we choose to walk into town in the evening where there were two good restaurants, Mojo and Bussaba these are only a 10 minute walk or 100 baht in a taxi. We booked an extra package that included transfers and a cocktail each evening. Well worth the money we paid…

My husband and I stayed here for our official honeymoon post covid, and had an amazing time. I would highly recommend this place, and understand why people come back multiple times. The resort: located on the beach, it is bursting with trees, flowers, plants and foliage that makes you feel like you are deep in the jungle and off the beaten path. It also adds to the privacy feeling around your room. The grounds are cared for, and people are always fixing up something to keep it looking fresh. Lots of pools to choose from, which is great as the beach was too choppy and the flag indicating jellyfish and stingrays was up all week so we couldn't go in. Spa is beautiful, dining room for breakfast is spacious and right on the water for beautiful morning views. It is a 5 minute ride to town, or a 20 minute walk. Our room was up on top of the hill next to the lobby, which meant a walk down some stairs to get to the pools/resturant, and stairs or a walk up a steep hill to get back. You can always call the shuttle to come get you and it's always there within minutes. The rooms are clean and spacious, with beautiful decor. The staff: I have never met a more accommodating group of people. They are well trained to anticipate needs and have an attitude of anything is possible. This is largely due to Ken, who sets an example of being as helpful as possible, and arranged for us to do a cooking class even though it is the off season. We also met Arm, who is new but lovely, and Pop, who took care of us during our romantic dinner on the beach. The spa staff were also lovely, and we went back for more services after realizing how good the first service was! This resort is beautiful and is a perfect landscape for a romantic vacation. Check in was quick and the staff and communication were excellent. We decided to upgrade to a beach bungalow as the room we were assigned, although large and clean was on a steep slope and we preferred to be near the restaurants and beach. We asked if the bungalow could be in a quiet area of the resort, there was no hesitation and we were assigned the perfect bungalow overlooking a small pool and sea. It was perfect. 2 mins from restaurants and beach. Decor was tasteful 'beach chic' highlighted by a bay window overlooking the small pool. Restaurant overlooks the beach. Breakfast was good and plentiful with a great egg station and coffee bar. Sea is safe and warm to swim in. Great also for a long walk. All the staff we met were professional and charming and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.…

Having visited Bangkok, Phuket, Patong and Karon Beach we chose a quiet high quality resort to relax in for a week. All of our expectations were exceeded as we upgraded to a beach bungalow. Sea views and vistas from the front and clear turquoise swimming pool behind, all made more spectacular by the tended gardens and grounds which are stunning. Our bungalow was spotlessly clean very spacious and of a high standard of decor. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was well equipped with tiny touches to enhance your stay. The bathroom consisted of A round bath, separate toilet and shower with his and hers basins. Again spacious and modern. The. Staff are fabulous and we must mention a few by name; Pop -so friendly and helpful Pueng & Packy -our waitresses and happy hour bar tenders. Both girls were so happy, friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. Fon & Fon our beach side restaurant servers always helpful and kind. And finally Ken “ can do” the manager of the catering and bars! Thank you for your excellent attention and service we really appreciated all of the staffs friendly, happy manner. The food was predominantly Thai and very tasty, but the menu offered plenty of other European choices. Breakfast was included and again offered a wide buffet choice. ( Covid measures presently in place, gloves & masks). We had planned to explore and have some days out but we felt so relaxed we just lived in a very special moment. Finally the Spa offers a range of massages I had three by the wonderful Oi. The Thai massage was the best I’ve ever had and so cheap. A wonderful location on the best beach in Khao Lak. Our beach front cottage was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff in the resort are superb and competently led by a very visible and accessible management. We chose bed and breakfast as we enjoy experiencing a variety of local restaurants of which there are many options. Having travelled extensively worldwide and with over 15 years of visiting many locations in Thailand we can say that Moracea ranks among the best if you are seeking 2 weeks total relaxation in paradise. Third time in Thailand, but first time in Khao Lak. My wife and I could not have chosen better. The rooms and staff at the Moraceo are simply fantastic. We are currently staying here with another week to go, but already know that we will not want to leave. The hotel is situated on the most gorgeous beach within walking distance from the town. The hotel is on a hill with lots of stairs so beware if you are less mobile. We were lucky enough to find A, the wonderful barman who always has a smile on his face and has made our stay even nicer.

This hotel fulfilled all my expectations of a Tropical Paradise. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful both before we arrived and all throughout our stay. The bungalow was everything I dreamt of in terms of setting and decor. The added bonus was being able to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the sea. I literally walked outside and was able to access beach in less than 15 steps. This is a very peaceful resort and the perfect place to unwind. The food is excellent with a good choice for both breakfast and dinner. We are not really pool people and prefer the beach/sea but the pool complex is well designed and tasteful. We utilised the gym onsite which is not as well equipped as its sister hotel in Phuket but still adequate for a morning workout. Overall this is a lovely boutique hotel and well worth staying at.…

Me and my husband have just returned from a fabulous time at the moracea. This will be our 10th visit to Thailand but the first visit at khaolak and the moracea hotel had a lovely quite relaxing feel and the staff where amazing and friendly especially a young lad called pop who even gave us a present when we left which really touched us. We stayed in the pool front bungalow which we loved and worth every penny and the air conditioning was so good, we could sunbathe just below the balcony and so private as nobody really walked past unlike the beach front ones which where also nice but you did have people walk past your balcony. The beach was the best part at this hotel as all the other hotels as we walked along was not as nicely kept. There is a lovely beach bar just a short walk along the beach where you could watch the sunrise every night and the food was good and also the massages. The food in the hotel was excellent but it was nice to go to a beach bar. You could walk to the town along the beach or the road which had a few restaurants and bars but as it had only just opened up it was very quite and not a lot of tourist yet. There is a large market that also has bars and restaurants around but you would need a taxi which is 10 minutes away. We would most definitely stay here again.…
