Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room which was provided was huge but pretty basic furnishing and was clean enough. The best part about the room was the view of Mount Meru. There is a eatery on site with passable food. Overall, just average.

This is a very average hotel and nothing to write home about. Our room was quite big and spacious with nice large windows letting in a good cool breeze. Loads of noise through most of the night though from the adjoining Lush Garden Hotel. The AC didn't work the first night but as mentioned there was lots of fresh breeze as long as the windows were left open. The AC was working on the second night and we could keep the windows closed so not as noisy as the night before. They really could do with quite a bit of improvement in the breakfast they offer. But for the price paid, these were 2 nights of reasonably comfortable sleep.

Room Tip: Don't take the rooms at the back adjoining the Lush Garden Hotel These are terribly noisy.

It was an average, budget hotel. Rooms are good. Food is not that wow.far from city center. No taxi and transport . Call taxi took $20 from hotel to city center.
If you need just a place to sleep then its a good one since rooms are very good.

Hotel is located close to Arusha airport (20 minutes driving). We spent there two nights. Rooms are very spacious, well furnitured, including comfortable king size beds. We had the luck to have amazing view for Meru mountain.
Stuff is very friendly.
Food, including breakfast is tasty (especially local dishes), although dinner is prepared from scratch after ordering, what requires some waiting.

Roughly an hour from the Kilimanjaro airport and a short bus ride to Arusha, Panone is a standard-looking hotel nestled a bit off the street in a quieter environment. The staff at Panone is TOP NOTCH! From the receptionists to the housekeeping to the kitchen staff, all are delightful and efficient. Breakfast time is filled with wonderful fresh fruits and juices and chapati to soothe the vegetarian palate. I saw eggs and sausages on the breakfast line as well.

There are little shops and a supermarket within walking distance.

I was not sure what to expect when I landed in Kilimanjaro, considering that the journey from the airport to the hotel took ages because of the law on speed limit and there were no signs of any modernisation en-route.

That ways, the hotel turned out to be fairly good. Rooms were very big, each having two king sized beds that could have easily accommodated 4 adults. Be prepared to take precautions against mosquito bites as the dining area has mosquitos swarming all over. The kitchen took ages to serve our evening snacks (we had ordered for veg samosas and a Margarita pizza), reason being everything was being prepared fresh from scratch including the pizza dough.
After a long wait, when we finally tasted the snacks, it was lip smacking especially the samosas. At least 2 hours advance intimation was required for dinner and the chef went out of the way to make vegetarian dishes for some of us which was not part of the regular menu. Food served during dinner also turned out to be great. All in all, this is a no frill hotel which is good for a night’s stay before you start for your safari trip the following day.
