The four nights we stayed at the facility were not enough due to the comfort and care.
We all had a wonderful time at the Hotel and enjoyed the swimming pool, WiFi, good food and the services.
We come back next year and we will recommend to friends.

From Andrew to Africa lovers :

I have been coming quite often to Arusha for business over the last 14 years.

I have stayed at various hotels in Arusha and concluded two years ago that East African All Suite Hotel is the best.

Management is excellent, the suites are clean and the food quite above average.

The price is just fare and the staff bahaves in a professional fashion. Security is perfect.

It is not a five star hotel but a good four one. You find good restaurants in the area.

Checked into East African Hotel very late at night and the general manager Mr. Josephat seeing us so tired ushered us in with a warm heart and took upon him to first let us rest and check in the next day. That was very kind of him as we were tired from delayed flights. He took it upon himself to also wake us up for breakfast given that we would have slept through as we were too tired to even set alarms! With this kind of keen staff I will definitely come back here as they went out of their way to accommodate us and to even help us trace our lost luggage from the airport. The staff is helpful and always ready to help. The room service and house keeping is fast and efficient. The only thing I'd recommend to them is to give more options on their breakfast buffet as well the food menu. My husband was a bit disappointed his favorite local beer was not available but he nonetheless enjoyed what was available. If you're looking for a quiet, home away from home feel I definitely recommend this hotel.

First off i would say that in my opinion, no hotel in Arusha offers good value, unless you are staying at a backpacker place - in which case you expect very little.

We booked this hotel after not being able to return to the slightly better Kibo Hotel which is next door (where my partner was ill from the food there). On arrival the receptionist said that they did not have a double room - only a twin (not what we booked), after much discussions they offered us a double, then hiked up the price by $35. They offered us a room/apartment which on the face it was ok, however no hot water was available (after 4 days on safari, cold water just does not do) also the bed was rock solid and sheets didn't look clean. After asking three or four times and having the engineer in the room - still no hot water...the manager then proclaimed the water was hot - i assure you it was barely above freezing, wouldn't normally have a problem but at $180/night i expect hot water and a comfortable bed, friends staying at a $10/night backpacker had hot water - why these guys couldn't manage it and then lie about it, i have no idea.

the restaurant looked pretty decent, though looks can be decieving - no one was eating there.

Decided to check out and go the impala, which at half the price was better value (though imo still overpriced).

Bullet one on the hotel website lists a gym. There is no gym! A complete lie. There is actually a picture of some random gym on the website and there are signs at the hotel pointing to this mystery gym.
Bullet four lists hot towels upon arrival. No hot or even cold towel. Another lie.
Another bullet listed free wifi. It did not work and you have to use the wifi in the reception area.
Several items listed on the menu were not available.
Breakfast was disgusting and I have lived as a Westerner in Africa for many years. The food was not good.

When we arrived at the hotel it was closed and abandoned. The owner had left Arusha without leaving any trace.
In spite of our prepayment we were left on our own.
Fortunately we end up in The African Tulip in Arusha. The manager was so kind to take care of us. He even contacted AGODA so we will be refunded. If you want a good hotel , friendly staff , nice and clean rooms we recommend The African Tulip.

The East African All Suite Hotel and Conference Centre offers more than a hotel room for business and leisure travelers. Opened in November 2007, the one bedroom units are traditionally furnished apartments. The competitively priced hotel gives you 3 ½ modern rooms: the living room is furnished with a comfy sofa, wing-back chairs, 25” flat screen television, coffee table, and floor to ceiling windows; the kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker, bottled water (to brew coffee), sink, cook top stove, marble counters, and a refrigerator; the desk area provides a large working area with plenty of light and a very comfortable executive desk chair, mini-bar, a grandfather clock and more seating; in the separate closet is the in-room safe, white fluffy bathrobes, extra pillows, and plenty of room to unpack for long stays; the bathroom is very large and brightly lit with an over-size, deep, soaking tub, with an adjustable shower head, and hair dryer; the bedroom is the size of most hotel rooms – a queen size bed with a sitting area, plenty of room for open suitcases, and more floor to ceiling windows. East African Suites also rents 2 bedroom units. The hotel is near downtown Arusha and the hotel compound is gated with 24 hour exterior and interior security.

The hotel is a 45 minute drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and located in the heart of Arusha, set back from busy Old Moshi Road. The entire suite has either a tile or laminate wood floor with colorful area rugs and feels very spacious because of the high ceilings throughout. No creepy stained carpets to walk across. The East African Suites are individually controlled air-conditioning - Arusha can get quite hot and humid. The hotel offers free wireless broadband satellite internet, private airport shuttle, gym, courtyard swimming pool, (did not utilize these services), and nightly turn down service. A delicious Breakfast Buffet with omelet station is included in the hotel rate. The restaurant offers a la carte lunch and dinner meals. East African Hotel’s Business Center provides access to computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, photocopying, and other executive services. The two story hotel does not have elevators, but they do have ramps for handicap access to the first floor suites. Our assigned suite had two steps leading to the door, so it would not be accessible for a wheelchair. The hotel does not have handicap accessible suites for guests in wheelchairs.

The quality of service provided by the hotel staff is impressive – from Robert in the dining room, the front desk, and housekeeping. I mentioned to the Head Housekeeper and the General Manager that the bathroom lacked a bath mat outside the tub. Travertine tiles become very slippery when wet. Management agrees to place bath mats in each suite.

East African All Suite Hotel exceeds the requirements of a clean bed and a hot shower after 20 hours of air travel. This business hotel is a wonderful beginning to the 2 week safari adventure. East African Suites felt like a ‘home away from home’. Unfortunately, the hotel stay lasted 10 brief hours. Someday, we would certainly return to the East African All Suite Hotel and spend more time exploring Arusha and its surrounding areas.

The hotel has some of the best well equipped suites in Arusha the kitchen has basically all you may need while the sitting area is also well done from the sitting room you will have a great view of the pool, the breakfast is great with varieties but same same day in day out. The WiFi strength needs to be improved. The reception and the bar staff are very friendly and speak good English as well. The bar has all variety of drinks.

1. The hotel is clean, tidy and recently refurbished.
2. Looks like the rooms were one bed-roomed apartments that were converted to
form a hotel (speculative) so they have a kitchenette.
3. Booking was double occupancy yet the toiletries set out were a piece each NKT!
4. This hotel is idle for business travelers, for tourists on transit.
5. The pool, which we appropriately named a cattle dip due to its size is actually very clean. Caution to swimmers; dont bother unless you just want to laze around in the pool. They had no umbrellas at the pool but luckily night swims are allowed (i think lol). we had a great time at the poolside at night.its beautiful.
6. They have a lounge/night club, so if you are with a group of friends, its easy to have a good party, which we did.
7. Now the real gem is the neighboring local bar called Mama Mia. FANTASTIC with its rugged charm. be sure to try their Mshikakis - skewered meat (Gordon Ramsey would approve)
