Truly serene environment, with the most wonderful staff I have ever encountered in visiting hundreds of hotels from South Africa to Europe, and this applied to all levels of staff. Only one recommendation I have is with regard to the WiFi offering, which can be improved. But overall, such a delightful experience, that I will be returning within the next 2 weeks, this time with my family, so that I can ease the guilt of having experienced this place without them. I know they will love me more for allowing them too, this pleasure.

This small gem of a hostel/hotel is situated in a botanical wonderland. We can afford the large chain hotels but always choose Lidwala as it is so pleasant. There is a new restaurant nearby so now one does not have to drive anywhere once settled in. Very friendly staff as well.

We stayed for one night in the camp ground with our RV. It is a wonderful place with a nice ambience. We met some volunteer travelers from Europe and there is a relaxed vibe about the place. We stayed on site with our 3 young adult kids and used the lounge area and the laundry. Showers were hot. Staff were friendly. I highly recommend this place.

We knew right away that this was where we wanted to spend our couples' getaway. It was a nice, tranquil environment with romantic suites, lovely garden views, and exceptional service. The natural stream that passes through the lodge made a soothing and calming sound throughout our stay. There's also hiking, which we'll return to do. One recommendation is to improve the WiFi service.

We camped in the grounds of the Lodge while we were on a World Challenge expedition.
The staff were very helpful and eager to please. We used the self catering facilities which were very good, they also laid on endless hot water for drinks.
A lovely facility with some lovely lodges to stay in if you did not want to camp.
some excellent food in the restaurant as well, very well priced.
Recommended.

Yes. I didn't use it, but it looked reasonably well equipped.
They put on breakfast and dinner for a fee. I can't remember how much, but I seem to remember thinking breakfast was overpriced for what it was.
Have a good time!
