Guest house is located near beach, has its own access to the beach with sunbeds.
You will have toasts with either butter or jam, fruits, juice and tea or coffee to choose for breakfast, just comply with time they serving.
Staff really friendly and helpful, they will also answer your questions about the island, help you to rent a car.
Place has all age and size tourtles on the back yard, you can adore them any time and feed with fruits or vegetables.
Unfortunately it's located near the main road, so till late you might hear traffic and partying people's noises, despite of that very pleasant place for good price.

This place is fantastic. We stayed in a ground floor apartment - large bed, seating area, kitchenette and bathroom. There was a verandah with table and chairs. We were right on the beach. Sunrise views were spectacular. Small beach, lovely clean and warm water. Some sunbeds on the beach. Wifi excellent and our TV firestick worked perfectly. In the kitchen there was a single ring, kettle, toaster and large fridge with small freezer. Everything was spotless - the sand was raked several times a day. Breakfast was a treat - juice, fresh fruit, toast , jam and coffee with an amazing view. Small convenience store across the road where we bought water and ice. We are already planning our next trip!

The hotel is situated right at the beach, with its own private beach section, with sunbeds. It is ten minutes ride from the airport, you can also take a bus.

The kindness of the staff is beyond all expectations, they are cheerful, helpful. They helped with car rental and shared many info about the island. All my best wishes to them!

The rooms are spacious, equiped with AC and fridge, the bathrooms are modern.

The breakfast is always seasonal fruits and toast with jam, a glasd of juice and coffee/tea. It might be boring but gives you energy for the morning.

The hotel is near to shops and restaurants, as well as to the Takamaka rum manufacture.

A great place to stay when in Seychelles, esoecially with little children, as the sea is not too deep, and quite calm.

Staying at Jamelah offers everything you need - great spot next to the sea with a great sea views, turtles on spot you can feed with the fruit rests from breakfast, unbelievably cute doggos which you will miss when away and last but not least a great staff, which helps you around everything (hey Flory!).
We enjoyed our 11 days stay from the very beginning till our last minutes, long breakfast at our terrace with palms and sea in front of us, fresh coconuts from the property, evening beers at the beach with shiny stars. We rented a car (also through Jamelah) to check the whole Mahe and next time we for sure would choose this place again. Its like getting the vibe of Seychelles when staying at Jamelah :)

This little guesthouse is right on the beach. All rooms are beach facing. 🌴 This accommodation has all the basics you need - basics! Clean linen, fridge, safety deposit box and ample parking. Don't compare this to a 5 star hotel, but youbwill have a safe place to rest your head for the night. Two grocery shops across the road and close to affordable restaurants/take away places. Being on the main road, the traffic can get a bit noisy. Breakfast consists of toast with butter and preserves, a plate of fruit and coffee or tea (really good coffee!) BONUS they have tortoises on the property! 🐢

Amazing place with beautiful private beach. Not far from airport around 15 min. with car, bus stop is just by the corner 3min wolk from hotel. Perfect place for everyone families with children's, couples and olso group of friends. There is Ancle dog named Major who made us happy with his company 😍(our private security boy) 🤗Every morning you can enjoy breakfast on your balcony and then feed the giant tortoises🐢😍🐢
We would like to say thank you to all amazzing Jamalh beach staff specially lovely Gracey and Joanne❤️ they are very friendly and always available to help with big smiles☺️However if you want to relax just stay on the hotel's private beach and feel the thrill of the warm wind and the lyrical sound of the sea.
We would recommend Jamelah Beach with all heart. We'll be back.
Magda and Antonio💓 Big kiss to Gracey, Joanna and Major

P. S. There are two small shops just across the road where can get anything but be careful for sneaky sellers. If you don't control prices they charge you more.

the place is very nice as well as the helpful and kind staff, they take care of the surroundings very well. What maybe hindered us a bit was the number of dogs sometimes on the beach, that's why I write 4/5. breakfast could also sometimes be more varied

Flory, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Jamelah Apartments are beautifully located right on the ocean with a beach. Flory has very nice two dogs. The room was very large and cleaned daily. The room had a fridge and air conditioning. The balcony had a lovely view of the ocean. Bathroom with shower and toilet.
Bed large and comfortable. Breakfast is basic, but very good: fresh local fruit, toast, butter, jam and coffee / tea and juice.
Place is located a few minutes from the airport - by bus or car. Bus stop right in front of Jamelah Apartments. Flory knows the local restaurants, so you can be sure that you eat well.
Thank you to all staff Jamelah Apartments for an unforgettable stay on Mahe! :)

Jamelah compound consists of an apartment building and a house with several rooms en suite. Located on the water. Driving south from the airport on the east side of Mahe, there are signs for many such set-ups -- a plethora of places to suit every budget, style and taste. This property is decidedly downmarket, but not without potential if ownership is motivated to upgrade which they appear to be on the verge of doing. But, for 50 euros, single rooms in the house are ok. Spacious, with view of the water, balcony, good AC, TV and internet. Bathroom though small, especially shower. Traffic noise, curtains let in the early light (eastern exposure) compromise a good sleep as do the incredibly uncomfortable and low quality pure polyester bed linen. Breakfast is a few pieces of sliced bread and your choice of warm beverage -- barest minimum. Management (Italian?) seems new to the business, interested in guest comfort and is proactive especially in regard to accomodating families and offering tours, rentals and services. (Their restaurant recommendation specialized in french fries, pizza, and family fun environment -- avoid unless this is what you're after.) While there is a beach on this property it is a wading type environment, and is fed by a bordering stream where the rocks were covered with a greenisn slime substance. But other beaches close by, with public transport right out front. If arriving after dark, your reservation must be pre-arranged. They turn in early here, and the dogs are turned out.

I picked this hotel for a 1 night stay based on the TripAdvisor reviews and the proximity to the airport. After my experience there, I really don't understand the glowing, enthusiastic reviews at all. It is clean and the breakfast is adequate, but overall the place is just OK at best. There is only 1 place to eat within walking distance (the hotel across the road) and you have to reserve with them by 5:30 pm in order to eat there. The night we were there they were closed for a private function so we had to buy snacks at a convenience store and have those for dinner. If you want to eat anywhere else you'll need to rent a car, take the bus (and the buses stop running at 7 pm) or take a taxi. Just a word about taxis on Mahe: they are grossly, grossly overpriced. For example, the negotiated taxi rate from this hotel to the airport is 300 rupees (roughly US$23) for about a 5 minute ride. Compare and contrast: I just took a 46 km 1 hour trip using uber from the Lisbon airport and it was 36 Euros (roughly US$40). The beach here is pretty, but the water is so shallow that you can wade out hundreds of feet and still be only knee deep, so not really good for swimming. In summary, when I compare the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor (Where have you people been staying in the past that you think this place is so great???) to the "Just OK at best" reality of this place something about it just does not pass the smell test.
