Could have been a better stay. Here's why: Water in shower had no hot water. Only got water available in bathtub. Drinking water dispenser only had hot water. Lacking of mozzies repellent. Bring your own to avoid frustration. Had a working stove with only a pan. No other cooking cutlery provided. Tap at sink had come loose and not fixed. Staff are very friendly and place is safe enough. It's quiet and serene here. Bfast is very average but does its job. I can't really say to come here as it's not maintained well - like many stand alone local establishments I guess.

We didn't even stayed here, i already booked one bedroom villa with private pool one week before. Then suddenly when we arrived at the location, the receptionist gave me the joglo villa instead one bedroom villa with private pool. They told me that one bedroom villa was already occupied. I didn't even get any confirmation beforehand. Then the receptionist called the manager for confirmation. They told me to choose the joglo villa or cancle. I had to cancle last minutes because it's not what i booked for. Poor management, terrible service. Hope you guys can do better.

Not the clean place we were expecting. The kitchen was absolutely bare of anything like cutlery, plates and glasses, exception was only coffee cups and saucers. Owners little shop next door charges 3x the amount to us than the other ones in the area. Ordered lunch and I suspect that they bought it from somewhere locally and wasn't made in-house as it arrived cold after 45 mins. Staff were friendly and drivers were very nice.

We had a 3-night stay at Cocoa Ubud Villas and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff get 5 stars. They were truly on top of their game. The villa itself was amazing. The grounds are very zen-like. You truly feel like you're in the jungle in a temple-esque atmosphere. The pool was great. Breakfast was awesome. They provide you with a cell phone so you can call for room service or a shuttle. It can also be used from the city center to call the staff for pick-up. My one con is that it is not really walking distance from anything. If you do not have a scooter, you're pretty much at the mercy of the shuttle or taxi's. We tried one evening to walk from the hotel to the main strip and were turned away by some growling and barking neighborhood dogs about a block away. We ended up ordering food from Cocoa, which is good, but I really wanted to explore the neighborhood. But besides that one negative, everything was perfect. We would stay here again definitely.

Once you get here you get a feeling like it’s nice. Yes the room smelled of humidity when you check in but it’s very common in this parts of the world. Then the next morning and all other days you realize that the breakfast always shows up 30 min earlier than agreement, super annoying!! The breakfast doesn’t have much quality to offer, in other places in Bali the breakfast was healthy and full of taste and nutrition while here it was very fast food made. The pool was dirty and nobody cleaned it during my 5 day stay. I would be super disappointed if I booked this villa with my partner for a cozy time. Definitely it’s not. Beside all this it’s super remote from everything. No thank you. I will not come back.

This place was a horror! The room stank like mold, the sinks and bathtub had black inside them with no hot water. We were locked out of the kitchen accesses. The bed that we had to sleep in had massive stains on the roof of it and we purposely added a stain on the bed to see if they would change the sheets.. which they didn’t. The pool was freezing cold with massive ants all over the deck chairs, which made it impossible to enjoy. On our last night we spotted a rat. The “free breakfast” was stale and off taste, we had it one morning and not the rest that’s how bad it was. They made us check out 3 hours earlier than our check out time, the staff knew minimum English, which made it impossible to communicate and to top it all off they left us stranded at ubud center when we had a flight to catch! I wouldn’t recommend at all!!

Don’t expect the same thing as what you seen from the advertising images, the Villa maintenance will likely give you a surprise but most importantly, be ultra cautious when you’re staying in this Villa. During our one night stay on 29 August 2018, we came back to the Villa after our water rafting session and two Villa staffs came in to take our orders for next morning breakfast. One of our friends bumped into the guy staff inside their room at the Villa second floor without seeking our permission. After returning from our dinner, 3 of our friends who are staying at the second floor notified us that their money were stolen and we immediately went to find the security and the boss came down to address the issue. The police arrived shortly but only took down our statement and the boss mentioned that he will get the two staffs to talk with us the following morning. The boss did arrived with the two staffs but the ridiculous part is when the staff denied entering the room as he defended himself by claiming that he only went up to change the mosquitoes coil outside the room. Went to the police station together with the guy staff but it was a unpleasant situation when the local police wasn’t very helpful and apparently the guys staff just seem too calm as if he knew nothing will happen to him or the Villa business. I’ll strongly advise anyone of you to consider twice for this Villa stay unless you have not much concern on the security portion, there are no security camera and the surrounding wall are not difficult for anyone to climb in even up to the second floor. It’s our first time visiting Ubud and this was a huge unpleasant experience for us, I sincerely hope that they will do something to improve their security level and none of you going through the same situation as us.

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. For your information, our villa is not under maintenance. You reported that you lost your money and we directly called the police and talk to the staffs which working on that day. The police arrived and ask you the total amount of the money but the amount is different from the first information you have informed and the police seems suspicious to you. When the police left, you said you won't make negative review on Tripadvisor and another online forum. You said you just need lost report from the police and we told you that the police will handle this issue and if our staff is allegedly guilty then let the police take them and punish them. On the next day, we all together went to the police station and adressing the issue again and you insist to have lost report from the police. it is not that easy to release a report without any proof. Please be noted that this is the first time we experince this issue. For your information, we provide SAFETY BOX so you can keep your valuable things there and ONLY YOU are able to open it. We are in Ubud, Bali bellieve in Karma. Thank you Best Regards, Cocoa Family

This resort is a 1 star not a 4 star. The bed sheets was all damp and had villas all had a damp smell. The rooms had mould growing in various areas. This resort is a health hazard and the fact that this resort allows guests to stay here through is disgraceful. The maintenance of the hotel was disgraceful and pest control was non-existent as the resort had cockroaches everywhere, a bee hive and rats. Most importantly the bedsheets being damp and mould growing is my massive concern. This is unacceptable and you should take this hotel should be taken off all booking sites. I booked 2x one bed villas and 2x 2 bed villas and all of them was in such a bad state.
