I took a long time looking for best option for a solo retreat in Bali and found many great comments about this property. I have to say, indeed, it was a fantastic stay. Starting from pre-arrival experience, making sure all my needs are met - whether I need transport or early check in, dietary preferences, even sending payment link out of working hours! Incredible!
The hotel is located in a central location -mostly walking distance to wherever you need whether it is Yoga Barn or Monkey Forest, it is just amazing.

Rooms: are very lovely. I stayed in Adiwana room and it has a beauty bathtub overlooking the forest - what could be better for your relaxation? Spacious balconies, where you could read, meditate or even do a yoga exercise by yourself. Have lovely big sofa where you can freely relax. Loved it.

Spa: lovely facilities, great service and variety of treatments starting from relaxing massage to slimming options and different Ayurvedic treatments. I have to highlight flexibility of the staff who were always happy to assist with moving appointments, changing treatments based on your preference and do everything with a smile :)

Pools: 2 lovely pools which are quiet private. Water very clean which is extremely important. Overlooking jungle ❤️

Service: all, literally, all the staff were incredibly friendly, supportive and paying attention to details. I felt like home! Big thank you to all the team. Important to notice, that leadership and management of the hotel is amazing as all the employees are working from their heart and that’s what makes a difference.

Kitchen/restaurant: I have to say that I am veryyyy picky when it concerns food. I changed my menu over 5 times asking to change to vegetarian first, then no oil, only grills abs steam vegetables, then no potato, then juices detox, then back to mix of juices and food. Shortcut, they have been SUPER flexible with ANY request and were always in time. Food taste and quality is exceptional. I will definitely miss it. Thank you, HerbLibrary team who helped me with my goals!

I would like to extend a separate thank you to few members of the team. Yani, spa manager, who was the first proper encounter that I had while arrived to the hotel after quick check in ( I did all formalities the day prior, for the check in). We had a lovely consultation and she told me immediately what my areas of improvement and concentrations should be. She is incredible. She fix my timings for all the treatments, gave her professional advise on everything, while she would still listen and take into consideration your thoughts and perceptions and give you an advise on the same. She was the one who has to amend my menu million of times, sharing with me the menus, ensuring that I was happy with everything, fixed my treatments that I was late for sometimes or sometimes wanted to replace ( I was on a wellness programme). She was just amazing and all her team was same nice, friendly, genuine and supportive. They made my stay.
Lia, I am extremely grateful to this lovely duty manager who made all things possible. She was always checking on me whether I needed something during the stay. She spares good 30 minutes sitting with me, understanding what my preferences are and creating agenda for my activities, while allocating to me the BEST and sweetest person to be my guide - Wid.
A huuuge thank you to Wid, who made my two activities days so MEMORABLE. He was not only being my tour guide, driver, photographer but also kept a very pleasant company for different topics and discussions. Whether getting a water for me in a long trip, getting towels while going to temple or many other small details, he is indeed a treasure of the hotel and Extremely attentive and supportive.

To sum up, you can, definitely, find a cheaper stay in Ubud, how ever, for those who are looking for QUALITY service and experience - Adiwana resort is where you have to be.

We had booked 3 nights in Adiwana Room through Booking.com back in March 2019.
Two days before our arrival, we were informed by the hotel that the room we had originally booked was not available and were suggested to stay one night at a sister property, that was located 15 minutes from Ubud. We did not want this arrangement as we were travelling with another couple who had booked separately at the Adiwana Resort Jembawan. The hotel did a superb job in re-working our request so that we could to remain at the same hotel: while we were offered to stay in a Deluxe Room (same amenities as Adiwana except for the bathtub, and located on lower floors), the hotel also offered additional and free perks such as a cooking class for 4 people and our transfer to Bali airport. We very much appreciated this gesture.
Upon check-in, the reception manager came to greet us and apologized again for the booking oversight. We felt we were genuinely taken care of and it made for a very nice start.
What we love about the property is its location which while central, is in a quiet street away from the hectic traffic and noise of Ubud. The hotel facilities are well designed and maintained; facing a beautiful tropical jungle above a small gorge. It feels very private. The pools are large and clean, with a fair number of loungers, complemented by 2 lovely gazebos if you want to stay in the shade.
Free yoga and meditation classes are offered every morning and for those more serious about it, there is a major yoga centre at the bottom of the road.
We only had breakfasts at the hotel – service was a bit slow at peak times when yogis are done with their morning classes - as there are plenty of food options in Ubud.
The Adiwana Jembawan is an excellent hotel and we would be happy to return, this time in a Adiwana room as it faces the pool and is brighter.

Firstly top marks to all the absolutely wonderful staff, nothing was too much trouble at all and they were genuinely fantastic.

The location of the resort is good in terms of proximity to the many restaurants in Ubud, it is down a fairly quite side street off of one of the main roads - we found it easy to walk to all the restaurants we wanted to visit.

Breakfast is very good (vegetarian/vegan) and offers choices very different to anything I’ve had in a hotel before.

Finally the reason for not giving 5 stars was our room, our first room was very very dark and down 2 flights of steep stairs in the basement of the hotel; we spent one night there and were woken early by work being done in the room next to us (we’d not been made aware of this) - to be fair we were then moved to another room which again was above a room being worked on (we were told); both rooms had good beds and the products in the bathrooms were good however they both smelt ‘earthy/odd’ from the mini jungle at the back and the soundproofing in both was poor.

Dear Masons4, Warmest greetings from Adiwana Resort Jembawan! Thank you for your lovely review on the platform, we all delighted to learn that your stay are meet with your expectation. Starting from our team member services, our strategic location that close to almost everywhere in Ubud and the healthy all-day breakfast that can be enjoyed anytime within our resort. However sadly we are unable to gain your trust for complete flawless review in term of the room allocation. Our resort consist of four building that each of them had their unique. For example if the guest prefer to be assign in quite room we will tried to accommodate the room that far from the main facilities and the opposite. Sadly during your stay we had a room to be maintenance that we are proceed to maintain the quality of the room itself and that bothered your relaxing holiday. Your feedback are highly appreciated for us to continuously improve our services and facilities. Once again thank you for your review and feedback and in the time you are set your course to be back, we will be more than happy to welcoming you and assign the best possible room for you. Best Regard Kade Adnyana Room division manager

Thanks to front lady Ms. Lia in Adiwana Resort Jembawan, that give us a lot information about how to enjoy Ubud town at its best. we had a good stay for two night despite in rainy season and in the covid19 pandemic situation when shop close earlier and not many visitors around. She also kindly offered us a couple package of full body massage with a special price for one pax. This hotel's garden is not large but they arranged trees and flowers beautifully that make us feel like in a forest but actually we stay in center of the Ubud town. Very nice to walk around and buy souvenir and enjoy cafe. No need to rent a motorbike :) Adiwana room has a bathtub and make us even more relaxed with aromatic shower gel and shampoo. I suggest you to try Tejas Spa when you stay here.

A delightful, resort in the heart of Ubud. The location was perfect for using as a base to explore surrounding Bali. We hired a scooter for two days, all sorted by Adiwana. Door to door service at no extra cost.
The staff were all very friendly and nothing was any trouble. The complimentary High Tea was a delicious surprise. The rooms and facilities were all very clean and to a high standard.
Our flight home was late evening and they supplied a room for us to freshen up at no extra cost.
A perfect stay in Bali. We can highly recommend.

I loved my stay at adiwana. I stayed in Adiwana for 3 nights, I came to rest and relax. It was exactly what I needed, the bed is incredibly comfortable and the room is perfect. Bathtub works beautifully, and all amenities are well provided and toiletries were of good quality, natural and soft on your skin.

The resort is simply but really beautiful and refreshing, all the staff are kind and attentive. They gave me 50% for spa, i got a massage for an hour and it was extremely relaxing and just an overall great experience. I highly recommend the spa, well designed and very friendly staff with a list of interesting treatments.

The location of the resort is great, I was walking around a lot which I missed in Bali. A lot of good shops, resturants and yoga studios are around.

The pool over looks a beautiful small valley of trees and I think i heard a river passing. Its a great place to spend your days in Ubud
I am absolutely coming again. Thank you everyone

Adiwana is a dream! I stayed for four nights prior to joining a women’s yoga and spiritual retreat. The retreat used to host at this hotel but have now built their own villas - but on booking - this was the hotel they used. So I booked here too.

There is nothing I can really fault, I had a couple of minor maintenance issues (AC leaked on night one) and no hot water in the bath (day two) but both were dealt with swiftly.

I stayed in the Adiwana and the room was large and very comfortable. Lovely big squishy mattress - which could have slept four easily. The bath was such a treat for me as I don’t have a bath at home, it was deep and the bath foam provided was a nice touch. So many hotels don’t offer this and you end up using a bottle of body wash! All the amenities were also lovely and smelt amazing!

The wifi is speedy (which was useful as I couldn’t find any English tv channels that were not the news) so I was able to watch Netflix on my laptop. It also stayed permanently connected to my phone so I didn’t miss any contact from home. Also useful as many hotels make you log in each time your connect.

Pools are lovely. Predominantly shady, so if you’re a big sun worshiper like me you may find that a pain, but Bali sun is fierce so you’re grateful of the shade. Only real downside is the lack of poolside service, if you want a drink or something to eat, despite the pool menus, you do need to go to the Herb Library to order. I’d recommend here that perhaps when the hotel is aware guests are by the pool, they send a waiter every hour to check on the guests. I would say they definitely missed out on sales here as many guests, myself included didn’t order anywhere near as much as we would have should someone have come to ask us.

The food at Herb Kitchen is really special, delicious healthy Indonesian food and was perfect for a veggie/vegan like myself, they were also able to cater to my peanut allergy.

The spa is amazing! Compared to the U.K. the prices are insanely good value. I had a two hour Open Chakra Massage and the time disappeared! Gorgeous.

Staff are all so kind and polite and highly attentive!

Final thing to say is the location is excellent! If you’re new to Ubud like myself the location, to the centre for shops, market, the palace etc is ideal! All within walking distance. I didn’t visit the temples as that’s the second part of my trip, but they are within easy reach (Not on foot).

I will come back to Ubud and I will stay here again! Lovely hotel. I highly recommend!

Let’s start by saying we left 2 days in to our 4 day stay. This place has potential but if they want to maintain their rating they should really concentrate now on the detail. Life is too short to pay for ordinary experiences and so we left, because, it was ordinary. The food was disappointing. Room service was prompt but the food so tasteless and unfulfilling. The room lacked a lot of detail like good lighting, hooks for towels, limited bottle water supplied, extremely slippery floor, dangerously so. So many little things you can’t quite put your finger on. The staff were, for want of a better word, unmotivated. In contrast to our other two experiences this trip to Bali, we found the staff here, just so so. The spa was soulless and it really reflected the feeling of the whole place for me. Our only highlight, which was a standout, was the incredible New Year’s Eve experience we had. We met life long friends and had the best night! This, they did well.
A tip - send your management team to stay at Oberoi Resort to experience the detail and service from exemplary staff, thoughtful room layout and important and valued room amenities and consumables.

Best hotel you can find in Ubud. Very much reccomended, very worth it(literally very affordable), yet you will get facilities like 2 infinity pool (for public) also balcony and bath tub in each room. they also have the best location (literally in central ubud), very easy to find food (so many restaurant choices if you want to have food delivery). I paid for IDR 660k (breakfast inclusive, stay on dec 2021). Lovee itt!!
