Jaz Fanara Resort is celebrated by guests for its pristine beachfront location, perfect for snorkeling, and its proximity to local attractions. Travelers applaud the clean, spacious rooms and the resort's overall cleanliness, although there are occasional comments about the decor being outdated. The array of food options and activities, along with the attentive service, contribute to the resort's positive atmosphere, though some guests find the poolside music loud and repetitive. While opinions on value are mixed, with some citing additional fees, the resort's well-maintained facilities are commonly commended.

Ahead: I would always recommend this place
Rooms: Upon arrival, bed linen and duvet covers were not clean and we reported this to the reception and we were helped immediately. The room was cleaned again at 9pm in the evening and we were also offered an alternative room which we took at the end. This was always clean afterwards including figures from towels on the bed.

Food: I think it's a shame that the Arabic spices are no longer used there. The food tastes good but everything has to be reseasoned as a bit bland.
On the whole, however, plenty of choice, omelette or fried egg freshly prepared in the morning.:)

Facilities: the facility is super clean, very nice to look at, a bit extensive but there I was already in much more extensive hotels. In addition, front and rear pools and restaurants are available for eating, which is why you only have to walk further to the beach e.g.

Animation: Underground!! Worst animation I've EVER met. I was an animator myself in Turkey and we had strict rules. But they don't seem to have any rules. Rude, pushing ahead at dinner, not saying good morning and encouraging to join in does not extend. But guests are under siege that they leave a good review for the animation. Really bad! (That's why the 4 stars)

Beach: many loungers who then lie by the pool or anywhere else but not on their lounger but it is helped one won the beach boy. The beach as well as the reef soo beautiful ! Unfortunately, the reef is dead at the front and guests stand on it outrageously but it is being watched. Lots of fish !!

Overall great hotel, great facility, great and helpful, hardworking waiters!! But animation I'd throw out completely.

We stayed a week in this beautiful resort. The room was large and spacious with two double beds. The bathroom had a large shower with a line to hang wet swimsuits. The cleanliness is excellent with praise to Omar who every morning dedicates himself to tidying up the room and creating cute animals with the towels to decorate and make the living room cheerful. The cuisine is international and unlimited buffet style. Obviously if you try to eat typical Italian dishes don't set too high expectations. The swimming pool is divided into two areas, one heated (with a section dedicated to children) and one a little colder. The descent to the beach is simple and there are sofas to enjoy the view, as well as another refreshment point with a bar. (Don't be influenced by reviews which complain that the descent is difficult or tiring. There are both steps and a real descent). The beach has umbrellas and sun loungers. The coral reef is exceptional and can be reached without a jetty. The entertainment is not intrusive and they organize various activities during the day: yoga course, water aerobics, stretching, etc. there is also a gym in the structure organized with essential equipment and they provide water and towels inside. The à la carte restaurant is Italian and we recommend you eat the fish. In the relaxation area there is another restaurant (Le Gazzelle) which is more intimate and reserved, we had dinner there almost every evening. The only flaw is the wifi not working well, but it wasn't a problem because it is still present in the hall.

First time in Egypt and first time in Sharm and, after a long search I booked directly from their website, with a pinch of skepticism and instead:
1) Enviable location, in the bay of Ras Om El Sid, sheltered from the rushing winds and sea currents, a stone's throw from Old Sharm and next to the famous Farsha Cafè;
2) Clean resort, maniacally maintained green area, beautiful pools (although never used preferring the sea) spacious room with very comfortable beds and bathroom with huge shower (I had booked a Superior pool view);
3) The restaurants are 4, the Gazella located at the bottom of the Resort, the one a la cart Nino (only for a fee), the one by the pool (for quick snacks) and the main El Medina, where I had lunch and dinner more often and where I almost never found the same dishes twice and that I definitely rate positively;
4) Beach and sea: the beach is not huge but definitely enough for guests, I never had problems finding a free umbrella. Clean and well maintained it is formed by fine sand that lasts for the first 30/40 meters from the shore to finish in what is the gem of the place, the "SPECTACULAR" Barrier Reef and, for me who saw it for the first time, to remain with my mouth open.
5) finally a mention to all the staff, almost exclusively made up of talented and prepared young guys who bend over backwards to make your holiday unforgettable, obviously in the hope of some tips that are willingly given.
I have only two small negativities, the first the descent to the beach, not very long but that in the hottest hours, in the ascent, could be a problem for the faint of heart or for those with walking problems, the second the lack of a shower directly on the beach but positioned dupo an uphill ramp, near the bar.
Would we go back? definitely yes, indeed we will definitely go back because we really enjoyed it and then, with that sea you do not even need to go hiking elsewhere to see the Barrier Reef.

Quick visit to Sharm for Easter, I selected this resort based on the comments, especially those relating to the coral reef... an excellent choice! 20 minutes from the airport, quick check-in (we were given the room before the scheduled time), in a very short time we were already snorkeling in the bay.
The structure has a longitudinal development, but is easily accessible, far from the mega structures that are so popular in Sharm. The location requires you to make a little effort to reach the beach, especially on the way back... a series of steps, or alternatively a "slide", connect the resort to the private beach (not very large, but we have always found an umbrella, even in the morning when it is busiest). Maybe it could be limiting with the summer temperatures, but in this period, when the temperatures are very pleasant, it's just healthy physical activity... and then, halfway, there's always the bar as well as a wonderful view.
Clean, small but comfortable standard room, decorated every day with a beautiful towel sculpture on the bed by our impeccable room keeper; very spacious bathroom...larger in proportion than the room.
In the resort you can breathe peace and tranquility: all the spaces are well-kept and clean, the gardens are in a workmanlike manner and the avenues are literally "polished"; the staff is wonderful: discreet, kind and extremely helpful; the food was also good, even appreciated by my husband who is particularly sensitive to anything that has a hint of spice. The main restaurant is not very large, but there are tables located in various positions, more or less isolated, and a room for families with children. If you want even more privacy, there is the "La Gazelle" restaurant, in a diametrically opposite position, where it is also possible to eat outdoors, by candlelight.
Naturally for us the strong point is the sea: direct access, possibility of snorkeling on the right and on the left, with the latter option offering the best views, especially if you go beyond the pier of the resort next door... water extremely transparent, breathtaking colours...a concentration of corals. Unfortunately, the time available to us did not allow us to go a little further and naturally here there are not the spaces we are used to from Sharm and Berenice, but we would gladly return, perhaps a few more days.

I chose to spend my holidays at Jaz Fanara Resort from December 28th to January 13th.
From the moment you arrive you are greeted with a smile, all check-in operations are carried out quickly.
The structure is in an excellent state of maintenance, with large common areas that are always clean and well-kept.
The catering is excellent, considering Egyptian standards.
The swimming pools are large with comfortable spaces equipped for sunbathing.
Spacious room with a beautiful sea view, our bed very comfortable, punctual daily cleaning with towel change.
Jaz Fanara offers an exclusive all-inclusive service, you can sip a good freshly prepared drink or an Italian espresso coffee.
Beach point difficult to reach for disabled or disabled people, due to the rapid ramp or steps to climb.
Seaside point: excellent! bay sheltered from the wind, you can swim safely by entering from the shore, also very suitable for families with children, or snorkel in the coral reef in front which is still alive and well populated by various species of fish.
The entire team is extremely committed to offering the perfect holiday experience, always with a smile and continuous efforts to ensure complete customer satisfaction, a unique human value.
Thanks Jaz Fanara

Hotel was really lovely. Staff superb although some of the reception staff did not come across as being entirely approachable. Certainly housekeeping, lifeguards and restaurant / bar staff were absolutely faultless. Depending where your room is, there can be a LARGE amount of walking to get from one place to another. Be nice if they put a snack bar by the quiet pool as the other is a LONG way away. Main pool is absolutely fantastic, with excellent amenities, but couldn't sit there as when animation had the music on we couldn't hear each other on neighbouring beds as it was so loud. So loud the music was totally distorted coming through the speakers and we couldn't hold a conversation so we didn't return which was a real shame as it's nice to see the activities and it really was a lovely pool. Same experience with the amphitheatre at night -volume so loud everything was distorted and unbearable. Other than that we were very happy with the hotel.

Only 1 thing to note - we travelled as 5 adults but the 5th adult had a fold up bed which she didn't find very comfortable. It was a perfectly adequate bed for a child but she had paid the same as the rest of us and this wasn't really value for money. Don't think we would have minded but most of the on line details / photos for this kind of room showed a proper bed which would have been far preferable. We didn't complain as we were only there for a week and we didn't want to be spending our time and energy explaining and then changing rooms etc etc however it would be nice if they took on board the ages of their guests when allocating rooms.

Lovely, clean, resort. The gardens with the various flowers and trees are well kept and a sight to behold. The relax pool which is attached to La Gazella (the buffet restaurant with outdoor dining ) is where we spent most of our time. It is situated at the far end of the resort ( an 8 minute saunter from the reception). This area is very quiet and peaceful. Alaa served us drinks by our sunbeds consistently, nothing was too much, he was also very funny and supporting Liverpool, he was also very proud of his Mo Salah /scouse haircut 😄 The poolside is looked after by Samy who was always cleaning the pool area and when I was in the pool was encouraging when I took a dip to cool down as the temperature was only 21 degrees, however it was great for a quick plunge. A Mini “Wim Hof” therapy
The head waiter, Shawes is lovely, very welcoming and is always well turned out, looking crisp and fresh each morning and evening he could not do enough for us. In the evening the solo entertainment at La Gazella is generally quite good, the violinist was by far the best, however the female singers performance was lacklustre, and seemed disinterested in entertaining the diners she didn’t even take her coat off, considering it was a warm evening and she had a beautiful dress underneath which was only on view when she ate within the restaurant
My room was cleaned by Islam who gave me new slippers and made lovely bed decorations and most importantly he always did a great job cleaning my room. The Italian restaurant has the best Arrabiata ever
The only downside is the club 18-30s on the beach which lasts until 11pm , however if you’re on opposite side it’s not so bad. Had a great time here and would come again.
TUI could have done better with giving information on our departure, there were no
flights or pick up info in hotel, luckily we are tech savvy and downloaded qr code.
All in all a great relaxing trip.

The Jaz Fanara Resort is located in a strategic position, because it is close to the airport and with access to the sea directly from the beach.

The animation is present, but not intrusive, nice and super helpful, especially Yousef and Adry.

The beach is small, but comfortable and clean, where there is also entertainment; it is reached via a descent or staircase, it is totally under the sun, but not tiring, as instead read by other users.

The pools are quiet, clean, but warm (not the Resort's fault, considering that we are still in Egypt and temperatures are high).
Recommendation to set up an area for the collection and change of towels for the pool / beach, as it is not functional to have to wait for the boy in the room in the evening (between 18 and 19) or call or stop at reception.

At the pool bar you eat well (do not expect our pizza or exactly our tastes), the guys are always available. A special mention goes to Ahmed, a very young boy, in training, but always smiling and super attentive to customers.

At first it was difficult for restaurants to eat, all too spicy, few labels on what it was, but improving, perhaps due to the massive arrival of Italians.

The rooms are small, but comfortable... cleaning could be done better and Recommendation to all hotels to remove pillows and decorative fabrics from the beds, they are not necessary and tend not to be washed at the change of each guest. I would also remove the carpets, which taste just like dirt and equip every room with slippers (and not only at the request of the customer) and a drying rack or wire to hang.

Wi-Fi takes in public areas (not at the beach and not everywhere by the pool) and only in some lucky rooms.

The staff is helpful and courteous, even in the face of unexpected events and problems: the reception is always ready to respond and resolve.

The grounds and garden are well maintain. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Gym doesn’t have working air conditioning and is equipment is limited. The bars have an array of drinks and a quite extensive cocktail menu. I found the food really disappointing, being vegan I never expect to have the best options and accept that but meat, fish and dairy are put in practically everything. I tried speaking with various chefs be the language barrier proved problematic. Sometimes there is milk alternatives for your coffee but they must be popular as run out very quickly. Rooms have been photographed to appear more roomy than what I have previously experienced in Sharm. I found them cramped and would have chosen an alternative if I had known prior to booking as to upgrade just one level once here would have cost over £500, photos attached. Sadly there is no pontoon so people are damaging the coral, you will need to swim out to get to the reef, which is amazing. Every morning at 10.30 a life guard (no extra charge) will navigate you through the coral to take you to the best snorkelling areas. You are in walking distance of various shops and taxis are abundant. I would return to this area for the snorkelling but not this hotel.

We stayed at Jaz Fanara and I must say we had a very good time. The resort is large and overall the cuisine is varied, the quality is not at the top but we were never starving. Meat on average better than fish, entertainment present but not cumbersome. The sea is a big plus, I didn't imagine such crystal clear waters and coral reefs so beautiful and close to the resort. We also took an excursion to visit the second protected coral reef in the world, the one in front of the resort is absolutely no exception! The resort offers "paying" various other services such as massages, spa, wellness treatments. The staff is extremely helpful, very kind towards the little ones, a special thanks goes to Walid who took care of the cleaning and tidiness of the room! impeccable in everything, from the "creations" with towels, to the attention and availability in solving small daily problems: from the demagnetized key, to the air conditioning, which stopped working one day, changing beach towels, meticulous room cleaning, etc. a warranty

Depending on where your room is located, there can be minimal use of steps. Having said that, there only a few areas where there are steps. Getting down to the beach may be hard, whilst there is a slop there is still some stairs to go down.
