We were very concerned by the opinions we had read about this hotel, however it was a pleasant surprise to find a friendly and sufficient staff. There is not much choice in food but it is more than enough and has good flavor. THIS HOTEL IS PREFERABLY FOR RESTING as it is far from the road and even further from Santa Marta, it is the last of the hotels via La Cienaga. A taxi to the airport or taxiway is around 33 thousand pesos. Due to the distance, the tours that go to Tayrona do not pick you up at the hotel, so you have to go to a closer point. Staying at the hotel is not a bad idea, it has several swimming pools, its private beach that, due to the distance, does not have vendors at all harassing you, the sea water is a little darker and calmer than what you see in Rodadero or Santa Marta. I do not recommend it for elderly people since the hotel has quite a few stairs.
Our room was standard (it doesn't appear in any of the published photos) but it was good, to rest and be calm. We also acquired some relaxing massages at the SPA where there was good service from the people there.

very good beaches, no vendors and clean, well conditioned rooms, different pool options, minimarket, restaurant menu could have more options, but very well overall, very attentive staff. Different places and environments give options to enjoy

Let me start by saying that this is the first time I have felt compelled to write a negative review on anything. I travel often for work and I completely understand that everything will not always be to my liking but I have learned to make the most out of it. However, this hotel was a different experience all by itself. I booked it for a family vacation in November, I saw the pictures and this place looked absolutely amazing. I called the hotel to ask some additional questions and they offered to upgrade me if I booked directly with them and not through and website. This should have been my first red flag. They proceeded to tell me that there credit card system was down so the preferred method of payment would be a wire transfer. There was only one "suite" left so I didn't think about it twice since the rest of my family was also going to be staying there.
The day I was due to arrive, they called me to tell me that my suite was completely flooded and they were going to switch us over to upgraded hotel rooms. When I arrived to the hotel it looked nothing like the pictures. The man at the gate, was extremely rude. However, the ladies at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. They took us up to our rooms and as we get out of the elevator on the third floor the first thing that caught my eye was the communal kitchen with dirty plates all over the place. Our upgraded rooms were horrible, Our toilet had no toilet seat and overall the room was bare bones and dirty. We turned back around and asked if they could switch our rooms. The lady at the front desk said there was nothing available so we asked to speak to a manager. The Manager came over and started yelling at the front desk and belittling them in front of other guests. At this point I was over the whole situation, and just asked to cancel my reservation. The manager approved my cancellation and said they would refund my account. This was November 14th, 2020 it is now January 14th, 2021 and I cannot get my money back. I have had multiple conversations with their accounting department, they email me back saying the refund will be processed and it never does. Save yourself the heartache, there are plenty of other great hotels in Santa Marta. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

A hotel that seemed like heaven but it is a real hell. I rented a Luxury Double Room, -the most expensive in the hotel- to find out that the TV did not work, the safety deposit box had to be reset, the windows had water leaks, the phone was inoperative, the wi-fi worked intermittently, there was no hot water, and to top it off when I tried to adjusted I, almost got electrocuted. I had to walk to my room through an old road with holes and puddles of water The food at the restaurant was mediocre. The staff seemed annoyed at my requests. NO apologies were offered by anyone! My son had a room next to mine that was flooded by rain water literally. Never again!!! I promise.

If we return to Santa Marta, we will return to this hotel. We had the most gorgeous view, it’s super clean, the restaurant is well priced and the lunch + dinner is very flavorable. This hotel has many pool options and is on the beach. They have a daily shuttle that brings you to their sister hotel where there’s a gym and a different area to explore. That said, the best part of this hotel was the amazingly accommodating and super friendly staff. From Joseph Mata in the restaurant helping us with our English to super helpful Carlos at the front desk, to Carlos who helped us with our bags, any ice that we asked for and anything else. Mucho gracias! We are so impressed w Colombia and hope to send many friends your way!

The truth is that the staff was very kind, but they gave us a tiny room with a lot of noise from the cars, then they moved us to a better one, although this one had raised wooden floors, a musty smell and some small details of lack of maintenance. In general, I recommend the hotel, but I think they need a bit of care and be clearer with the photos. The hotel is far away from anything else so it's very expensive going out

Super large layout, 5 pools scattered around, and everyone very helpful. The complimentary breakfasts were different both days and well appointed. The private beach is a huge plus, and the "resident" cats were really friendly and were our favorite friends we made. Only drawback for me, was it was hard to achieve hot water in the shower, at least in the junior suite w/ocean view I had.

I went to this hotel because I wanted to rest from the noise, be safe and I wanted to be quiet on the beach without merchants harassing you, it is also close to the airport and that gives some peace of mind if you have early flights. The staff is very friendly, the room was clean, the bathroom has the sink on the outside which is uncomfortable and a fairly small desk, but it does the trick.
The menu was limited and they gave me a glass of wine that was sour, I complained about that and it was fixed since they opened a new bottle for me.
There are no bars or restaurants nearby. You must go by taxi everywhere. At the easy center they charge you 40 thousand Colombian pesos, which would be about 12 -13 USD. App that is important if you want to walk or get to know Santa Marta from far away.

The friendliness and attention of the staff are exceptional. Its administrator, Erwin, is a person from another planet, he connects too much with the needs of the guests and tries as much as possible to solve any impasse that arises. He and his staff are extremely special.
